Yep, that's how Nike was able to get the Gem Regalia. Kilik escaped with the Wind Regalia's Core, but sacrificed the Gem Regalia Core.

Back to Yoshitsune: I wish we could have seen more of him. He was funny and wise when he was first introduced. Then when he was attacked, I was shocked to see how strong he was.
