Yeah it would be a cool ability though especially if you paired up with someone like Magellan, you train in hand to hand or weapon base combat, they can turn the atmosphere into something else and you go in and beat the crap out of your enemies while they're trying to escape.

I feel like it wouldnt have alot of practical use like you said youd basically have to team up with another DF user who compliments your power for it to even be useful.

As far as a new power i think an acid Logia type would be pretty cool.

Just making sure, the Logia just only are or control one state of a (natural) element right?

Those that can control other states are usually Paramecia (eg. Magellan (liquid + gas), Mr.3 (liquid + solid) - the confusing ones) but they can't do what Logia can do too

I realize there are other requirements for logia

Interesting thought... it actually supports my theory of BB having a parmcea - he has Darkness+Gravity.

Darkness's alternate state isn't Gravity like how Water is to Ice or Vapor.

I think Power of Darkness = Power of Gravity, as in meaning the same thing or one being part of other (atleast in OP)

And BB's Logia DF is a special type (different)

But that pattern I mentioned above seems to hold for any Logia... or is just what a Logia is.

Fair enough, so I'll scratch that thought. But I'm still holding to my BB's Parmcea thought until clearly proven otherwise. Currently the only ref we have that his DF is a logica is from BB, so accounting for the guy's deceptive nature I'm willing to stick with my theory.
