Aaroniero is an Espada that is a arrancar in humanoid form.

He is the only Espada that is a gillian-class arrancar.

Hollow in humanoid form are Vasto Lordes.

vasto lordes are menos hollow who have evolved to their greatest state.

When Aaroniero became an arrancar as a gillian, he gained a humanoid form.

arrancar is a transformation, not an evolutionary form. A vasto lorde, is an evolutionary form.

Now here's the contradiction of the manga.

If humanoid hollow are vasto lordes which are the most powerful menos and final evolutionary stage, then why does a naturally-occuring arrancar like Aaroniero have an infinite evolutionary potential?

This is part of why I believe Vasto Lordes is not just an evolutionary form, but a description.

That description being a hollow OR arrancar in humanoid form is a vasto lorde.

^^^This statement is what most of you will disagree on but its my opinion based on the contradictions in the manga when you look at Aaroniero and Hitsuguyas statements.

But all of the Arrancars gained humanoid forms (or at least most)
The Fraccion of Grimmjow's were all either Adjuca or Gillian (Don't remember which)
They didn't advance to VL they wanted to but they failed. I think once a menos goes arrancar they no longer have to worry about eating and losing their personality.

They still needed nourishment; Neliel was looking for Pesche and Dondochakka so they could go get lunch when Nnoitra put his plan into motion. To become a VL, a hollow has to each a lot of other hollows. However, we don't know if Arrancar still need to eat hollows, or if they can survive upon food. Unohana was able to heal a Privaron Espada, so maybe their bodies work the same as a shinigami's when they become Arrancar.

In fact, didn't Yammy say he ate and slept for a long time to build up his power?
