Irrelevant but something has been bothering me a while, given the physics when someone is falling - should the dress be...
a) moving against the direction of the fall b) or moving with the direction of fall (that would mean panty flashes of enormous proportions) As I have said the last time, there's probably now a firmer reason as to why Takamichi is in MM.

If it was Kurt Godels' intention to get Negi to join him that history lesson is an epic failure to ingratiate himself to negi in anway what-so-ever.

Hmmmm I guess Cnet or the translators or possibly even Akamatsu really likes that phrase though seriously I'm thinking that Akamatsu is playing too much Recently and has been learning stuff from ZUN!

Arika is about to learn Naru Punch, but Arika can't learn more than four moves, which one should she forget?
-Royal Hero-Piercing Slap -Lelouch Wannabe Complex (X) -Tsundere Cuteness -Maiden Insanely in Love ........Poof, Arika forgot how to do Lelouch Wannabe Complex. Arika learned Naru Punch *tu tu tu TAN* (penultimate row, left panel)

Nagi must be attached to that staff somehow by a rubber band or something--he took that Naru-punch, flew off into the air, then the next frame shows him right back where he was before.
Boing!

Nice ending to the backstory. Arika got to smile at the end. The boys were having fun destroying to fleets and more as Nagi forgot all about them. And next we may see Taki and Kurt's plan for the future maybe?
Now Negi knows the story or at least what is known to Kurt. Negi still should ask his parents if they are alive. The girls with Negi also will use that information however they see fit. Nodoka, being the closest in love with him, will draw closer. Kazumi and Chisame will somehow do their own things. Sayo being there would probably help Negi somehow in her own way. The other girls will feel left out, but they should acquire info about the film from Negi and company who saw it. |

This chapter was nothing unexpected, but still epic.
More problematic is the bit at the end. I hope Takamichi doesn't drop by to start kicking serious rear over there. It looks like he's involved somehow |

Ni hi hi! Nagi's confession was just how I thought it would be; Looks like Akamatsu was presenting his personality pretty good enough, headbutt to the one he loves while confessing(twice) joking about her breasts again "all for me!"
![]() and getting a Naru Punch, these are all pretty much like Nagi...BTW: Considering that there are two other Fates that Nagi defeated and what he said in "ch.258 p.17" (which is similar to the beggining of this chapter...) I assume he is something like a deity, and appearently there is someone(ore something) higher -Fate talks about him/her- this means the Final Boss will be-maybe- "the mage of the beggining" revived or something? |

As for the "life is meaningless" comments from both Fate and Arika, it's more interesting to me that this is the exact opposite of Chao Lingshen {Remember her?} rather that the woman who was about to die was trying to accept her fate by telling herself her life was all just a passing dream anyway and Fate himself is an empty vessel so he sees everyone in the world the same. I agree with Raken and Nagi, they're both idiots too smart for their own good. Is Negima starting to come together yet? It depends if Negi is supposed to save the Magic World/Mars or destroy it. Or maybe it's "wants" as he must be really regretting his choice not to side with Chao now {One more in story reference and she should be back soon hopefully, somehow}. If Chao was correct then she herself is also a descendent of Arika and magical Martian royalty and I would imagine that it played a part in her binding. How about that idea? There's no final dark Boss, it's only a fight against the establishment? The Evil Empire without an Emperor? Oh, right, Chapter 269. Good, fun love comedy with a dark twist. "Oh, am I in Hell? ... What are you doing here?" "I'm saving you!" "...Why?" All that was missing was a comment that if she didn't want to be saved, Nagi could throw her back into the pit. Mostly because she would have either said "yes" or jumped in herself. |

I am surprised more has not been made that it is title Ala Rubra Saga Ep2 when Ala Rubra Saga Ep 1 was made by Jack.
This suggests that Kurt may have been entrusted to show Negi this by Nagi and/or Arika in the past before he decided to "turn Negi to the darkside" and when that failed decided to return to the original plan. I also had a laugh at just how powerful Ala Rubra are being able to deal with 2 fleets and 3000 elite soldiers even without Nagi's involvement, which raised the question why did they feel like they could not do anything earlier as it does not appear that there are many people around who could threaten them |
