People were saying that Kotaro would never pactio with Nagi 'cause the thought of them kissing is revolting, but earlier in the series Chamo pointed out that it is also possible to pactio by cutting one's self and exchanging blood. Kotaro and Negi could do it that way.

Also McGuiness works for the Magus of Meldiana, of course she'd be in England, it's where she lives!

It is also kind of ambiguous as to whether Zazie can use magic or not, or if her tricks are performed through sleight-of-hand like stage magicians.

Also I have been playing a game called Negima Private lesson 2 for GBA

Setsuna has use a combo which conjures a ring of knives (her pactio artifact) that hits from the sky.
Unfortunately, only Sephiroth seems able to defeat himself.
He can teleport from one side to the other with a single keypress, has massive reach with masamune and has can summon meteour and flare. Setsuna does have some impressive moves though.

i kinda agree with kaverine on the stuff on zazie... i mean.. she doesn't really seem to have magic... Chao was just an obvious choice for a villain - super genius and not much is known about her, lots of space to think up a good storyline off of.. zazie is... just not quite the same in a way.


btw, that GBA game reminds me of the second anime series... which (no offense to anyone who thinks it's good) kinda sucked pretty bad...

the ero kid has lots of partner lets say that he will surely got the 2-A her partners and maybe a 2 healer is needed but for the boys current party I'm sure 1 healer is needed and guys what will be Yue and Nodoka activation keys kamo suggest that Yue will just use suki suki daisuki negi sensei hehehehe kamo is a real ero thats for sure and haruna tricking Yue adn kamo with dark nodoka really is funny the activation key was love love get chuu negi sensei hehehehe really shock me first before scrolling down thw page :lol:
and lastly for this post what artifacts will kaede and kufei get if they will have pactio with negi in anime kufei gets some wooden sticks and kaede still has her huge shuriken but it will be fun seeing those to lovely pactio with the boy :thumbup:

If Ako becomes a healer, they could divide the Negi party into two groups. It has advantages, mind you...

They won't be traveling in too large a group, for one. Easier mobility by separating group duties. Less load on Konoka when many need healing attention. An additional healer is not really that bad. :D

I'm still puzzled about thow shadowy things...

Kaede already has a large shuriken (see Festival arc: Keade & Setsuna VS two teachers), has no Botched Card Pactio, and is too much a big sister for her to do paction right now. Ku Fei on the other hand has a Botched Card (from the Kyoto arc) and the teacher student relationship brings them closer, but not enough for a pactio.

I started playing it (thanks for notifying there IS a game, kaverinebonhands ^^) and I can assure you that it's based on the first series. The proof is: Asuna has heterochromia (not in all pictures though. Strange XD) and Negi's "sneeze of doom" (as I like to call it) appears in the game. I got both GBA games and started playing the first today. It's pretty good. Even without being able to read Japanese I get around 50% of the story (well, the basics ^^) and with GameFAQs.com I have an english list of all cards and there won't be any problem playing the game.
Only thing I don't like is that the overworld-sprites have huge heads and Setsuna looks too much like a boy (well, even more than she does normally).

If you want Setsuna, she's damn hard to find only on japanese site thats hard to find on google, spent three whole days before I found her.

Who has seen Negima! Natsu (Summer) OAV and/or Negima! Haru (Spring) OAV?
the Haru one is based off the trip to Ayaka's resort at the end of volume 7, but has some differences (Eva is present, because Konoemon is in rubber stamp hell again!) and shares the Chupucabra theme in part of which is from Negima!?
The Natsu one has a story where Yue casts a spell that lets you see a red thread which supposedly connects you to the one whom you are fated to be with forever, on Nodoka.
It turns out to be a gag spell for parties, that joins Negi and Nodoka by the pinkies with a red string(also pulls Negi flying through the window.) Then everyone goes to a new dayspa run by Ayaka's family. and Negi and Nodoka are forced to do everything together, and when they use a sauna and pass out Nodoka wakes up and sees that she and Negi are in a theatre and no-one's around, also Negi is still asleep, and Nodoka does something funny. But Negi was only pretending to be asleep. Unfortunately, the stories are kind of ruined because the animators seem to have put in erotic poses of the girls at every available opportunity.
They also make Setsuna look like a lesbian.

Fuka and Fumika are not identical! they're supposed to be identical.

I hope they don't try to cast a 30 year old. some of those "girls" are over 20 years old, and the actresses for Fuka and Fumika are older that Kaede's 13 year old actress, Kaede is one of the oldest-looking characters in the class!:confused:

I don't think the show will be anything like the manga! If it has any of the action in it, I'd be very surprised.

Is Ku Fei, Ku from the Fei family, or Fei from the Ku family? Chao Lingshen states in one of her last appearances of the series that she possesses a book containing the Chao Family tree, which seems to indicate that her family name is Chao, and her given name is Lingshen, but the Japanese way of saying lastname first is very confusing! I've seen Ku Fei written as Fei Ku as well!

Yes, the chapters are a bit behind on releases, but they'll have a double release from the scanlators soon. The wait is pretty long compared to last time but oh well.

If they were to make another anime it would probably be just as bad however, think about it like this funding=very low because well they did fine at first but then once they made Negima!? was a big waste of money. So I doubt they have enough funding or animators to really make a worthy anime at the moment, plus I think they ende the first one because of low ratings.

But yeah >_> my opinion not actual facts since I haven't looked it up.

Negi sees Asuna as a sister, though. BUT! Since Asuna is not a sister, I hope Negi will realize the reason why he can readily trust Asuna is because there is already a very tight bond between them! I'm twisted - sorry. Negi is ten and Asuna is over twenty already...

Anyway, Negi might really develop some feelings right now. He's getting older + exposure to older people + Eva's advice "to rely on others when they offer help" + an environment full of girls. It's either he develop feelings for one of his students or... (you won't like this -) go homosexual. He'll realize that he's had enough with girl company and... (- told you).

(If Negi goes homo though, he'll probably find out that he won't like it... He's intelligent enough to realize that I think.)

I personally just plain out dislike her, almost hate but not quite. People seem to go on this weird thing about Ku fei and Neji togather, I beleive that isn't close to happening plus she isn't the only Chinese character.

I'm not really a fan of any pairings yet, though some I like, but lets just say if he were to go with a certain pair, each would have major problems. Here are the most common two views.

Asuna- She is Asuna after all, plus these two may be good togather but looking at the rate these two are going I'd say either someone will get to him first or they stay at the best friend level.

Nodoka- Well yeah, she is great for Neji in many ways, but she lacks initiative and with Neji being a kid, these two are bound to always be pushed along in their relationship by others, and not many are willing to do that at the moment. Still this would be the most realistic pairing if something were to push her without others help, such as her other qualities like caring.

I KNOW there are some things missing that could eliminate my thought process, and I don't want to turn this into a debate, but those are true, for the most part.

Eva will probably keep doing things like that to Neji all the time though like Darth said.

Onto what histories I want explained, Ako, she seems interesting.

Zefie, we don't know a thing about her but she seems pretty darn interesting to have her current status, I mean look at her, WHO and WHAT would make her decide to become a mime/performer-like character.

Yes we've all seen, what Eva does to her image to others, and thats more than likely what she would look like. So yeah quite an attraction.

You have to remember one thing about Ako however, EVERY girl he didn't know much before wants him for what he'll look like in the future, due to seeing what his dad looked like. If she knew it was really him in th future and not his "older cousin" then she might still be possible.

I don't think it happen 20 years ago this is my theory about it but maybe other realize it as well that it may happen 10 years ago remember when gatou die the master of takamichi she is still a kid there and takamichi looks around 20+ or something near that age and lets say that the whole crimson wings last mission is about asuna they try to protect the princess from those herds of magical beast and their is many groups lurking in shadows want asuna thats why they took her in custody and try to protect her but they eventually die in process everyday battle even the strongest kind will not last without rest so lets says that soem of them die including master of takamichi and maybe nagi got captured or like asuna says while crying nagi die but I personally doubt about that fact maybe their is a reason nagi disappear their and asuna thought he die back their and the question is maybe just maybe its the last mission of crimson wings that protect asuna happen 10 years ago or 20 years ago in war the father of konoka lost contact to nagi 10 years ago only and stated he died back their and only questionable about my theory is why does konoka father doesn't react when seeing asuna though his the one of the 3 with negi and al that go and rescue tha princess and about al what does he said to eva I want t know what he have said about asuna her realy identity that makes eva during the training say that they are same and somehow the training in the snow mountain is a way out for asuna and whats the similar thing to eva and asuna if you ask me another theory come into my mind eva sure is lonely and maybe asuna is lonely to back their well he is chain in the tower is pretty suspicious if she really is a princess why wil they lock them up

Yue is plenty fine with Neji at the moment, and one of the most realistic pairings at the moment, as per Nodoka I already voiced my opinion on that.

I just think that Yue would need to try and actually have a romantic relationship with Neji, and not be held back by her friendship.

for asuna and negi they are likely brother and sister for me many would agree and disagree about this but most likely because she is the partner of negi to begin with maybe they will end with each other but what about nagi I think his partner is the whole crimson wings and they are all boys most natural they will not end up with each other unlike with the ERO BOY tons of girls around him its natural if her partner asuna will be her wife and I think asuna does have a feelings for negi she still doesn't know it yet I think the way she loves elder people like takahata is not a real love for me likely that is a fatherly love I think the reason asuna love elder because she is seeking a care of a father the way the royal family take care of her is rather harsh putting her in chains in the tower
and now for nodoka fans I like nodka to pair with negi than asuna and most likely negi had a crush on her because when the priest confession incident when misora pretend to be a priest and ask negi which girl she likes more she react red to by thinking nodoka he is really and ERO BOY hehehehehe but I disagree for their pair I would prefer her the mistress of the wife and mistress relationship the saishoudoukin I praise nodoka for telling negi that she like him but nodoka is not the type that will understand negi to much of the ERO BOYS feeling more likely the not lifetime partner if you ask me if they don't understand the feelings of each other more deeply they did not deserve to be meant for each other!

In fact she may be a few of the people who understand Negi and how he does things. BUT! This may stem from the fact that she thinks too much. think too much = understanding; plus exposure to Nodoka (I'm telling you that LOVE LOVE is contagious - she has been supportive of Nodoka from the start); plus Negi's mature side; plus she wants to learn magic; plus she lost her gradfather (= loss of inspiration); amounts to attraction to Negi(?). You can tell I'm not a fan of their pairing, but I'm not against it either.

Asuna rules! GUT FEELING! Ok, seriously... You said she's afraid of what Eva said (about losing those important to her). If she tries that hard for Negi, Negi then is really very important for her. She must have been attracted to older men bacause older men (the Crimson Wings - sheesh even wanting to be Nagi's partner) were her company and first comrades. I've been working on trying to make a transformation into lycanthrope form (note Lyc = lycos means wolf, anthrope means humanoid as in anthropology, study of human race, history of evolution and social structure)

I watched the anime of Negima! again and I noticed that at the beginning of ep 1, Takamichi is looking at a photo of the Crimson Wing and it's the one from Nagi's house, but the glass has a glare that obscures, Alberio, the Kid, the giant with sword, and Eishun's faces, and where Gateau is in the picture, his face has been altered so that it looks like Takamichi instead. Say what you will about the Anime, but it's the anime that first caught my interest and made me start reading the Manga.

And it is not impossible for Kotaro to partner with Negi.
I've stated this before, but Chamo said that there's a method involving opening a vein and swapping blood. Maybe that's the method Alberio used with Nagi. Not unlike the Blood Brothership rituals of the Scandinavian warriors (aka Vikings, though vikings were people who went "viking", which in the language means exploring)

And everyone knows Asuna kind of resembles Nekane in hairstyle, when she let's her hair down. But Takane D. Goodman looks even more like Nekane, is even closer to the right age than Asuna.

Also, if Alberio has been hiding under Library Island for the past ten years, how the heck did he get books of Nekane, or Anya, whom he has never met? I was under the impression that the books that make up his artifact, were created with the cooperation of the subject.

The whole blood swap thing was NEVER mentioned in the original context. It was Del Ray (?) that made that blasted input! Though it was stated that there are other ways. So maybe, blood pacts are possible.

Kotaro would get something that complements his fighting style. (Yes, I don't have anything better to say about this. Plus, I don't really understand Kotaro's fighting style.)

Setsuna probably said that because Negi has been the only guy in her life. Her world only revolves around school and Konoka-ojousama anyway. She'll probably find a guy (somewhere along the lines of: the friend of Konoka's husband or the bodyguard of Konoka's husband) when she grows up. :D

I'll go for an automatic gun, and a short sword. But I'll mostly use the gun rather than the sword. My reflexes don't permit me to engage in close quarters combat.

There is no second season. There's just a second series that has nothing to do with the first. The subbers stopped subbing though at episode 17 because it was licensed but do yourself a favor and don't watch it. It's not worth it.

And there will never be a second season of the first series. It had a definite ending and it's impossible to continue from there.

Only solution would be a third series that starts from chapter 1 again but I doubt that'll ever happen...

Negima! anime had all the animation redone for the dvd release, so it is actually fairly good now. It was the tv verssion that sucked.

and Negima!? while, it is pretty screwy, it is good for a laugh, although I don't get why the creator decided to put in a Chupucabra theme, when the creature has only ever been "sighted" in South America. The animation varies, however from Atrocious, to amazing quality, although there are lots of references to video games like zelda, and other cartoons, including a portion with South Park-like animation in one episode.
I wouldn't mind getting that on dvd, I've only read episode guides, and seen episodes 1-6 on youtube.

Who is the weakest opponent Negi has faced?
I think Chigusa Amasaki, as her only defences rely on demons, and without Konoka's power as a crutch, they are pretty weak ones at that. (they look stupid as well) She only succeeded in capturing Konoka, because of Fate, and only with Konoka's power was able to summon Onis (Ogres) and Sukuna. Her "attack spells" were flooding a train with water, and a giant flame spell, which didn't even give off heat, so it must have been an illusion to deter pursuers. Do you think she might make a reappearance?

Animes and Mangas tend to like to have big archvillains, which make alliances with former defeated foes of the hero.
(In dragonball Z and GT, Cell and Frieza came back from the dead a couple of times only to get wiped out as th heros were even stronger, than when they first defeated them.)

Now I have some questions:
Will Kotaro ever get his rematch?

Will Evangeline ever be freed from Mahora Gakuen?

Will Ken Akamatsu ever rveal the identities of the last two people in the Red wing Photograph?
Or Negi's unidentified eighth spell?

As for a fully canon anime, only if enough people in Japan requested it, would they consider it.
TV is expensive, and animators will only put the effort in if the return is worthwhile.
I'd love to see an animated version of Negi and Kotaro's fight, or Negi vs Chao, Or Negi + Kotaro vs Graf Herrmann.

I usually search for ecchi first, then judge the manga after the third chapter. I'll have you know that I've taken the time and effort to download all of Negima's chapters to prove my love for this series.

Negima is only one of the few manga I've downloaded as well (not that you need to know, I'm sorry). I don't juist read for the ecchi (as you will observe in my arguments) but I also read for the content. Overall, my conclusion has been: "Ken Akamatsu is the best!"

Now, I know I cannot sway any of you to turn away from perverted thoughts but I plead of you to please look at the other stuff in the manga as well. By Frond, if you've already reached the newer releases with only ecchi as the motivation please get a life you sick person!

The tickling water hands were completely unintentional.
The hands were meant to restrain Asuna so she couldn't attack him.
The nudity was also unintentional, as Auna was meant to be petrified, but instead only her clothes were petrified as her body was impervious. Fate had no idea that Asuna had magic cancel.

I wonder wha would happen if Negi's wholeclass got into a brawl over him? who would come out on top, keep in mind that the strongest students such as Eva, Chacha, Secchan, Kaede, Mana would not get involved. Maybe Ku Fei and Asuna would.

Negima RPG
Characters need stats, what should the starting levels and stats be, and how should stat progression be?
for example
Generic Mage
starting level: 4
melee attack: 16 (+1 per level)
spell power: 25 (+ 2.5 per level)
melee defense: 10 (+0.25 per level)
spell resistance: 20 (+2 per level)
speed: 12 (+1.5 per level)
hp: 80 (+5 per level)
Magic Points/Chi Energy: 200(+ 20 per level)
damage affinity: fire(double damage when using this type can be spell damage or cutting, bashing stabbing with a weapon etc.)
Special skills: none (pactio artifacts or innate abilities such as inugami, magic cancel, kanka, etc)

examples of abilities
Magic Cancel: spell resistance = 100*level (magic cancel can still be bypassed in some ways)
Kanka: melee attack is multiplied by 10
inugami: spell summoning, no magic point oconsumption
Demon sensing eyes: melee attack triple when fighting demons/yokai/onis/undead or other summoned creatures

yeh you got the idea their their will be no one stronger against the 2 but if they can't hit the opponent then it will be bad a mind reading and a tactician battle if brute force the 2 brains will not will YUE and NODOKA

If you make a Negima rpg, you need enemies, but there just aren't enough in the manga to fight,

I need suggestions for a different plot that doesn't have anything to do with the manga, it could take place in between the the tournament and the trip to Wales. After all, alot can happen in the Summer holidays.

And also, I dont know if this is a valid question, but someone once said something to me with 'NeoNegima' in the context. I dont know if thats correct, (the compounding) but I was wondering if it was like a continuation after 'Negima!?' ends or something.
