It indeed is amazing. Some people even say it's the rising pupil of the old renowned wizard master, Berserk.
But apparently, it's going to end with vol. 17. Probably with a showdown between Munsu, Sando and Aji Tae.

I recently discovered this series and in a matter of a couple days, I'm on volume 9.
It's that good and I wish more people knew about it.
Since there's no plot summary posted yet here's one:
"Shin Angyo Onshi takes place in a fictional country named Jushin, which is modelled after feudal Korea. In Jushin, there once lived secret government agents called angyo onshi, who traveled the countryside in disguise. They were charged by the king to find and punish corrupt government officials, and bring justice to the country's citizens.
At the start of the series, Jushin has been destroyed, fractured into numerous fiefdoms and kingdoms, many of which are ruled by corrupt and tyrannical warlords. Shin Angyo Onshi follows the adventures of one of the remaining angyo onshi, Munsu, as he continues to wander the countryside and deals with the chaos caused by Jushin's fall."
A synopsis does not do this series justice, as is the case with many other great titles.

Did a little research (I always do that before starting a manga) and it turns out the manhwa was loosely based on a very popular Korean tale called The Legend of Chun Hyang. Chun Hyang is one of 5 surviving Korean stories told in the pansori style. :D
So I read the first chapter, and it's pretty good. Very interesting. The artwork is especially nice.
Anybody else planning on checking it out?

Well, I just finished chp. 4, and I'm really liking this. I was looking for something to break away from the typical Shonen that I read, and this seems like it'll be a good one. It's kind of fillerish right now, but I'm hoping it will progress. What I really like about it is that the artwork is stunning. Incredible. It makes the mangas I usually read look like doodles.
I always thought Basilisk was a beautifully drawn manga, but SAO blows it out of the water. It's so detailed, and the characters are so beautiful.
There was a cute omake about the mangakas looking for things to do while on business trips in Japan, and the history lesson they provide at the end of each chp. really adds something.
Unfortunately, the translators won't be translating the chapters notes after chapter 4. :(
I hope they continue uploading this series.

Thanks, Serenity! I reread Kyon's post, and it looks like they will be updating it. And yes, it does have an anime movie. It covers the first few chapters.
Oh, and I found the movie on yesasia. :D It's not online right now because it hasn't been released on DVD yet. Expected release date is November 13 and it'll be available in region 1.
I just might have to put that on my wishlist...

Can someone clarify?

Ugh, and I got impatient and read chapters 5-7 on another site last night.
Oh well, I'm just glad they haven't dropped the ball on it.
Too bad it got lost in the shuffle of all those Detective Conan updates. Had I not read the post Hyko made I wouldn't have realized it was updated.
EDIT: ALRIGHT! And the omake is translated, too! I was so bummed last night that the translators didn't translate the omake. Ahh, hell, I'm going to reread the chapters. I really like a quote out of it, and the translators that onemanga used did a much better job translating.

You can go to Anime Source for more chapters. It has up to Vol 14 or 15, pretty good story.
If you like the story, you should try Monster or 20th Century Boys, both by Naoki Urasawa, they are sadly so unpopular (at least in America, not in Japan or East Asia) when they have one of the BEST story lines ever. Same for One Piece, don't know why it is so unpopular in America compare to Naruto or Bleach.

I've heard of Monster, in fact I'm very sure I saw all the episodes subbed on stage6. I didn't watch it at the time because I was too busy with Gantz. I read that the anime is very faithful to the manga in its entirety, so I just may watch the anime, instead of reading the manga. I looked up on Wiki about 20th Century Boys, and it sounds very interesting, I'll add that to my ever growing mangas-to-read list. :D
Anime source is where I read Angyo Onshi last night. :D
But probably as long as onemanga continues to upload it in a timely manner, I'll read it here.

I started to read this manga a while ago and it does look like Berserk.
Two main characters fighting their way to get revenge on what their closest/best friend did to them.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the next chapters as well. So far, I've even enjoyed the fillers chapters, and I don't think I can say enough about the art. I was reading the story about Ondal and Pyeonggang, and I was wondering...
What is up with Koreans and incest? They seem to be so fascinated with the subject! I've watched at least 2 Korean movies with incestous relationships, and now this!
But I've also noticed in Korean movies girlfriends calling their boyfriends oba (Oppa, 오빠) which means "big brother". I asked my mom about it, and she said she thinks it's a new slang. She had never heard it before until she had been watching some Korean soaps, and it was just too weird for her, lol)

I just can't get over the fact that the actual series is done but I can't get past chapter 62, the peak of the climax in the entire storyline! I've just been plowing through Shin Angyo Onshi in my free time and I need to discuss what just happnened!!
I haven't finished yet, I just finished chapter 45 and I really can't think of anyone I hate more than Aji Tae right now.
When they showed Sando with her head on Aji's chest and she said "I will definitely protect you until the end" I just about lost it.
I can't believe Aji did all his evil things and then deceived Sando into thinking Munsu is gone and instead seduced her into protecting him, I can't think of the last time a manga got to me like that >: (

Aji Tae is a JERK! You can really tell the difference in relationships between the way she became Munsu's sando, and the way she became his. For Munsu she had to beg him, and he reluctantly agreed. With Aji Tae he deceived her, and then asked her to join him. Poor, stupid confused girl...
I loved the part when Sando rescued Aji Tae's sando being all heroic, and then Munsu slapped her later and told her to be realistic. You see that a LOT in manga ("This is my fight...") and when Munsu slapped her it was almost like saying "Have some common sense!"
But probably my hands down favorite part is when Sando was able to kill Won Sul. It was realistic. In other mangas for a scene like that what would have happened is a main character suddenly powering up (can we say nine thousand? :p) and then unleashing this attack of epic proportions.
Won Sul and Sando's fight was different in that he was momentarily distracted. As he said, it was just a split second, and it was all it took.
So awesome.
Also, 62 is not the last chapter but the manga is done, Nick. I don't think all the volumes have been released yet, that's why it's still incomplete for us. :(
EDIT: I just checked ETC. forums, and they had a raw Korean version of V16 that was taken down. But they did summarize it! :D
A quickly summary of the volume.
A. Munsu issues a challenge to Ajitae in what appears to be a hopeless battle. Calculating the probability of victory, Munsu comes up with 0. It seems inevitable that the world will be consumed by darkness and evil under Ajitae, but somehow Munsu is still confident and starts talking about "The Twilight Flare."
B. Munsu's forces gather and allies are called from where ever he has enough influence. Past mortal enemies ally in Koguryo and two very youthful leaders squabble like a married couple. At this moment Wonsul attacks and in the battle perishes for real. Munsu curses himself for issuing the final kill order.
C. In short, Sando is confusing Munsu and Ajitae in her memory, and Mong Ryong is still there, but she knows that he's dead. Now she's just carrying out his dying wish. There's a flashback to the cave again, and we see Haemosu engage in a Faustian bargain.
D. Munsu plays a game of dice for battlefield tactics, and in the ensuing chaos, he produces what seems be a series of inevitable coincidences.
E. Ajitae's seemingly invincible force has been steadily whittled down to size. But there is still Sando and the final volume.
I'm curious as to what happened with Won Sul. He's my favorite!

Well now I'm all caught up to 62, its so good!!
And on a side note I'm still a little confused, so 62 is the latest chapter that has been scanlated/translated into english, but are the scanlations just reallllly slow or is the series on hold or something like that? (sorry for not reading through all the other pages incase if was stated already, barely have time to get the chapters in with finals)
But things aren't looking good AT ALL
Bang Ja dead, the old man and all of the rest in the mountains either defeated(maybe dead?), Won Sul a rotting corpse, Munsu waking up to be surrounded by Aji and his army, a monster of a cliffhanger here, I can't imagine how Munsu is going to turn this to his advantage
I want to know what happens to Won Sul, he's my favorite character, I hope he gets back into the story

i've seen v15 and 16 raw and the end of v17. it is mostly a very large battle. some of them died. i like the fight between sando and munsu and then with ajitae. the end of the fight was fit for the char of munsu.

That is most definately Korean, and I'm bummed because unfortunately my Konglish only took me so far. :(
I read Korean better than I understand it, and what I got from the first box is that they are talking about 5 of something, either money or something intangible.
I'm having trouble reading some of the characters (too tiny!), I had to get real close and write it down.
The mod X04 is also Korean, but I think he's fluent, so he can probably make it out better than me.
But I downloaded the file and am going to look at it again later this week when finals are over, and see what I can pull from it. :D

Man, you ppl should try Monster or 20th Century Boys (both by Naoki Urasawa) if you like this manga that much. First two volumes might be boring, but afterward, it is much better than this one.
IMO, Shin Angyo Oshi is a copy of 20th Century Boys + Berserk. With propaganda, old friend as villian, taking over the world than destroying it, etc. but in the ancient Korean world setting. Unlike this manga, 20th CB have nearly no super power (except for one person whos not the villian), it showed in detailed how even an average person like us can take over the world, same for Monster.

So you're suppose to be working on finals, top, hmm? I find the closer I get to test time, the more I procrastinate. *sigh*
@Mucho: I've tried reading Berserk, but couldn't get into it. One of the reasons I like SAO so much is because the influence is heavily Korean and... I'm part Korean. :p

Its a great read, good manga, epic battles and plot, but the way it presents the story and the progression is very bad. That's why I didn't recommand Berserk, only Monster + 20th CB + Pluto (a remake of the - first manga + anime in the world - ASTRO BOY's arc, "World's Strongest Robot" - but with a lot more adult themes in it)

I'll be cramming and rushing projects not too long from now cause of it X D

Given the premise of the story and the whole air of mystery around wth happened, I think that the explanation (it's been what, 1-2 volumes?) is well needed. Definitely elaborated more on Munsu's former friends, his relation to the girl and the king (forgot names lol).
Sorta sick what aji tae does to the king x__x. sorry if that spoiled it for anyone.
Anyways, looking forward to 16 and 17!

i think its first 5 chapters but it looks so good!
also i got hooked by the artwork quality but the storyline is very good, the problem is he makes the enemies die to quickly and direct without complications yet he stretches the chapters by having 5 storylines rolling at the same time
i just finished the legend of hong gildong series and and going onwards!

Just be happy it's not like so many other mangas where nobody eveeeeeer dies and the enemies last foreveeerrrrr. I think it's more realistic for them to be finished off quickly and acutally killed instead of just "defeated" and left alone.

I just saw it, Nick! I squealed out loud.:o
It seems like I can't go through a single chapter of this manga without marveling over the art. It's so amazing! Everyone looked so incredible. Poor Won Su... every time we see him he's in a worse situation than what he was before. And he's one of my favorite characters. :(
There are several things I like about this manga, but one of the things I really enjoy is that it seems like the author and illustrator really loved this series. I love their "Hello from Korea" and the little history lesson they give at the end of most chapters. I also love all the extras we get with the illustration. I wish the popular mangas (Bleach, Naruto, etc.) were as generous with behind the scenes stuff. It seems like the more popular the series the more aloof the creators.
But what a way to end the chapter! BTW, how many more chapters are left?

I noticed that too, it seems like they really put their time and thoughts into the manga, they obviously did very heavy historical research for it, you can tell they really loved making SAO and they want the readers to enjoy it just as much, hence all the extra art and little miscellaneous information blurbs.
And yeah Pan, that ending was a shocker, didn't see that confrontation popping up anytime soon!
But I feel confident in Munsu, I just love this expression.

http://www.onemanga.com/Shin_Angyo_Onshi/66/05/
Oh yeah, that was one of the moments that made me go "WOW!" over the art. I think in one of the "hello from Korea" it was mentioned that the artist (I forget his name) is a perfectionist. It really shows in his work. Even with Naruto and Bleach you can tell when they're having a lazy day, but I don't think I can ever say such an occurence has happened in SAO as of yet. ^^
Aji Tae is an ***! Argh! I really disliked him to begin with, but I hate him even more after he said the thing about two kinds of people in the world. Words can't even describe that guy.
Which says a lot, because I usually love the sociopaths.
Two more volumes? So yay, we have a little ways to go.
Nickmogo
01-22-2008, 04:07 AM
Yeah the sociopaths are usually my favorites too, but Aji Tae is different. I don't know exactly what it is about him. I guess he's supposed to be hated though, he's not really one of those enemies you can sympathize with or secretly pull for. He's a little too cruel for that, like when he said "Those of you here unburdened by a guilty conscience, die! All those that carry love for another in your hearts, perish!" and proceeded to squish them.
That's why I LOVED when Munsu was pummeling Aji Tae in the previous chapters. Exactly what he deserves! Not that i condone violence;)
EDIT: http://www.onemanga.com/Shin_Angyo_Onshi/63/48/ <--- love seeing him scared for once
Beney
01-22-2008, 04:41 AM
yeah aji tae is an *** and he will be more of an *** later. he is just too cruel. i really hate what he did to wonsul. wonsul i think was the sorriest char in SAO.
i think the last 2 volumes besides it's first part was more of an action and less of dialogues. so maybe the scans will come faster.
I really started hating Aji Tae when he brainwashed Sando... turning her into his own personal weapon...so i'm looking forward to the part when she (hopefully) returns to Munsu's side.
The look of power and determination in Munsu's eyes and attitude makes it difficult to guess the outcome of the encounter presented at the end of the chapter.
Oh... and this is manga is one of my most anticipated releases as well!

IMO, Shin Angyo Oshi is a copy of 20th Century Boys + Berserk. .
You're overcrediting 20th Century Boys and Berserk; Shin Angyo Oshi is unique enough to not be a copy combination of anything. Anyway, Naoki Urasawa's works had the skillfulness of keeping me hooked, but ultimately they disappointed me.
I've caught onto the latest chapter, and it's definitely interesting...the artwork is superb. I was a little disturbed by how Aji Tae's calm composition changed over the last few chapters, since he came across as very composed and not overly evil for quite some time. Looking forward to newer chapters..

OMG love this series! Like others have said, the artwork is amazing and the plot is very different and stands out from others. I think it's also really neat that the artist is incorporating things from Korean history, legends, and folktales in to the story.

I haven't read it on OM, so I don't know where the plot is at, currently. But OM updates it regularly so I'll assume all 15 volumes should be here.
That Mandrake arc was really long. But the good part was, it simultaneously recounted the entire story, that too in sort of a hallucination. Considering, only 2 volumes are left and Aji-Tae has already appeared again, the end is near. Though it left me wondering, Munsu's curse is over and unlike the last time they fought when the curse put him at par with Aji-Tae's godly powers, he can't beat him with "human" powers alone.
methaniel
01-28-2008, 08:34 PM
Yeah, that's the big question, the curse was the thing that allowed him to resist Ajite in the past. Now, his strength has come back, but normally, his "immunity" must have disappear at the same time. And Aji-te at the end of volume 15 was really unexpected, I thought they were going for the little biy, but seems like their plan will be harder than thought. I really wanna read the volume 16 (and yeah, the mandrake arc was long, but really interesting, at least, now we understand a lot of things)
ghassassin
01-28-2008, 08:42 PM
That arrival of Aji-tae was just random. They were just planning things and it looked like they will be marching with the army or something, but in the last moment, the last page...Aji-Tae? Totally unexpected, but good in a sense that they didn't plan on dragging things. Infact, throughout the series so far, it never really looked like they were overdoing things or showing some useless filler pages.

Ah, one of my favorities.
I love the fact I get to see some sexy men instead of only hot chicks *_* owesome.
And I too do appreciate the straightfoward line which has been kept the same throughout the whole manga. Nothing unnessecary.
And my feelings about the ending are sad. The manga has been so sad till now, that it can only end in a sad way. Which I'd actually love.
Ah, the scanlating/translating work has been awesome trough the (what, 15volumes it was?) whole manga. Extacy.
nEKOMIMi
02-05-2008, 06:33 PM
I too do appreciate the fact that the author hasn't overdone anything, but kept the threads firmly in his hands troughout the manga. There is nothing unnessecary and everything is beatiful, and also so so so sad.
I have half bad, half good feelings about the ending, since it can only be sad. But I don't hate sad endings. I hate the fact I'll be sad for a while after reading this ;__; The whole manga is filled with sad endings, and since Munsu has already actually died, I don't think he even wants to keep on living. Kye Wol Hyang, and the other sad fates from his past. The saddest amongst all is still maybe Wonsul. This manga always makes me so sad when I'm just thinking about it xD
Owesome.

It could possibly finish with the death of Mun Su, it can be really well done like this (as Cowboy Beebop for example), but what about Sando and the thers in this case, I really wanna sea how they deals with this end
ghassassin
02-06-2008, 06:54 AM
Sando is gonna die, thats for sure. Though she will dramatically switch sides in the end, I think. But the stereotypical "reward" for betraying Munsu will be served no matter what. Munsu's death, though I am not expecting it, but can really happen if the ending is supposed to be made into a "sanity wins" type.

Finally, we have not 1 but 2 more chapters. Seriously, it is just getting better with every page. Now that we are into volume 16, its gonna end soon, unfortunately. But, anyway.
Won Sul is dead, that was terrible. I didn't expect that bitter of an end for him, at least not before Munsu vs Aji-tae. Too bad, that was pathetic. Well that apart, Aji-Tae is super powerful and I wonder how will Munsu work against those odds.

I keep wondering what sando is, you think she's one of those half animal types too? Like the girl she was fighting earlier?
Then maybe the girl angyo onshi's dragon could change into a swordfighter too, that'd be cool.
The art just stays on top in this, it's always detailed and perfectly in synch with the mood of the writing. They really are quite a pair these two. Have they written anything new since the ending of this manhwa?

02-19-2008, 07:28 PM
Well the series is close to an end and I'm not expecting another set of releases for at least another month. It can't be helped in any case. That apart, I think Sando will eventually die, like switching sides out of her conscious....the traditional cliche. Aji-Tae's army of hellish creatures is totally way above the league, in comparison to Munsu's. Its still difficult to believe Munsu will eventually beat him, considering that some of his teammates are totally useless. For instance Miss Hwong, she hasn't done been of any use until now. Even Eul Paso, her bang-ja is better than her.
methaniel
02-19-2008, 07:43 PM
Well, since I have read the whole volume, there is answers to some ideas, but I won't. But last time, when the volume 15 was released in France, the scans for this volume just were released at the same time quite fast, so maybe we can expect for them. And I agree Miss Hwong hadn't a lot of show-up until now (and it's worse for Eul Paso...).
I wonder what Mun Su's bang-ja will do in the upcoming battle? He must have a role to play I think...Argh, with the new thing I learn at the end of this volume, I just want t read what's next...it's unfair to finish volumes with such tension
ghassassin
02-19-2008, 07:51 PM
Oh yeah, you must be knowing some of the unknown intricacies. But well, I won't ask them. Anyways. Eul Paso was strong back then during that legendary war. Now he is just a dim witted buffoon. Munsu's bang-ja is far more useless. Has he ever done anything of any worth? All he does is cry and shred nonsense. I don't think he will be any good at fighting, unless his black magic summon (those carnivorous evil rabbits >.>) hold any good.
SilverKunai
02-19-2008, 08:05 PM
Well... now that the curse has been lifted.. it is much more troublesome. Munsu is pretty much going to have an even harder time facing Aji Tae.
The Deeply Rooted Tree saga was boring for me for some reason. Since it cut into the most exciting part of the story. I mean really, just when they prepare to fight Aji Tae. I guess its just me, but I say Munsu's past could've been put to a hold until after the war.....
...Boy, I was wrong. Deeply Rooted Tree was able to show how powerful Aji Tae really is, but still leaves so many questions on what he is. The story is gripping and entertaining, as with every character being emotionally human-like. Everyone had their own personalities, and their designs are so different as well. It gives the story its unique feeling. Its not like Naruto, or any of those other big manga names, (which is really just trying to please the fans nowadays..). Shin Angyo Onshi should pretty much be a classic mahwa right now.
Yea. I pretty much sound like a hyper fan-boy right now, but Its worth it. Shin Angyo Onshi ftw. It better not end like the Sopranos. >>
methaniel
02-19-2008, 08:58 PM
I haven't watch the Sopranos, so I don't know how the end is. But I think bang-ja will be usefull for something now...I hope.
And the deeply rooted tree sure was a long part, but was actually realy important. And about the end, I have a suggestion, that Mun-Su already give hints to (but it's stated later, I wonder if it'll really end like this). I still cannot imagine how can Mun-Su win against Aji-Tae, there is no way, without this curse.
And also, about the role this swordman will play later, the one who thaught about Ki, and who is with the European swordwoman now...argh, the last volume has to be cool!

Not only was it irrelevant at that time, but also the sudden mention of Hae mo Su looks a bit awkward to me. I bet there is more to this. well, i got the flashback. remember in chapter deep rooted where we see that demon with munsi and hae mo su. but we did not know who freed the demon. and tia jae (?) was always asking that munsi freed him. but it was hae mo su who free him the demon and brought the end of jushin. that what i call irony... but munsi probably had that flashback right after won sol die. so too me that make sense.
ghassassin
02-21-2008, 03:06 AM
I pretty much figured out the irony, but still I can't establish the connection of the flashback with the events that occurred afterwards. Well anyways, I wonder why isn't Aji-Tae just killing them off? Didn't he wipe out every trace of a whole kingdom before, within a blink of an eye? He can pretty much kill all of them in one "invisible" attack, but he won't obviously.

aji-tae is just bastard who like toying with people in general. as we can see through the manga that he is one of those character that love seeing people in pain. he want to make sure that everyone is underneath his control and keep them misery. i bet most of the people on his side are scary of him and want to stay alive as long as possibilities or die soon as possibilities. just look what he did to won sol.. that poor bastard just wanted to die in peace.

I don't know how you're able to type bastard without getting it censored.. but..
Aji Tae is really a strange being. We see him as a cruel person and.. evil... but What exactly is he? I mean.. he acts like the devil.. but is he really the devil? Or a devil? Either way.. I'm interested in the king of Junshin. I still wish to know if Aji Tae really "ate" him in Deeply Rooted Tree or whatever..

i think he did "eat" him for two reason.
1) he like play with people minds. and been clear seen we saw him revive won sol.
2) i think he was jealous of the relationship munsi and king junshin had. and since we know that the king make that deal with that "demon". something bad was going to happen.
but there is something that bugging me those when munsi one of first flashbacks of junshin when the king and mage staring at the crystal ball. you also see the shadow of aji-tae on top and then the king the bottom and then the king looking in the crystal ball.

I think Hae mo Su and Aji-Tae are one and the same person, since the very beginning. Thats why the flashback was shown at this very moment. Hae mo Su surely lied to Munsu about the devil incident and something else might have happened, which Munsu somehow has realized after that Mandrake arc.

...Yeah, I think too since this last flashback that Hae Mo Su was already Aji Tae when he said he would want to be the king of Jushin...Npw, just read again the whole part of the past, considering Hae Mo Su as Aji Tae, and everything is understanble (or near)
And yeah, Aji Tae is not killing everybody, cause he like t see the hope being turn in despair...though I don't know if he's this evil (look at his symbol, there was the part white: Hae Mo Su, and the black one: Aji Tae...though Aji Tae "ate" Hae Mo Su), maybe he has sme upper plan. Anyway, it's time for slaughter (and I guess we'll have at least the 3 next chapters of this volume quite soon, thanks to the team...but I don't know for the last volume)

Cheh. Another one. Not even close to disappointment. But it seems like Munsu will die with Aji-Tae (and don't spoil if its gonna happen otherwise). Oh and I didn't know, Lou was stronger than someone like Mito. Without a miracle, like the one happened this time, their end is near.

4-5 chapters and counting. i can't wait for the rest of the them to come out.

Lou was indeed stronger I think too, I would have like to see more of him.
But now, we know that Mun Su is doomed...I think it'll end with his death (like for example in Cowboy Beebop), it could be well done, but maybe the author has anpther trump card, we'll see!

Seemingly, everyone close to Munsu have already died or will be dying soon. His girlfriend, his best friend and Aji-Tae will be dying as well. Looking it that way, he won't have anything left to live for. Besides, he is only surviving to kill Aji-Tae. So, I am sure death is inevitable for him. Actually, I won't mind if he dies. It will be lame if it happens otherwise.

Sando's not dead yet, and neither is Bang Ja. So he can continue being an shin angyo onshi and wandering around with them if the three reunite (which... come on... we know they'll all get back together).
But if this last chapter did anything, it did pretty much confirm Munsu's death. :(

Heh. Munsu will die, its almost evident. Even the grim reaper haunts him now. Anyway, there wasn't much in this chapter apart from some humor and that, now we move on to the last volume of the series. Sando vs Munsu, I'll be waiting.

Now, all we can do is wait for the last volume... Though, I'm afraid it' going to be the same as the last time, I mean, when the volume is released here, all the scans arrived in a few days, I guess it's because of some authors laws, or something like this. Unless these fast release continue, I won't complain if it occurs.
Now, I guess it'll be a lot of battle: two of the old warriors, ex-hero of the Jushin, and the kinda demon girl, against Miss Angyo Onshi, that left, one of the old warrior, both Sando, the swordman with a demon Mun Su fighted in Europe, and Aji tae of course...I guess that's all the ennemies (maybe the master of the Ki...we don't know where he belongs, he's a friend of Aji Tae, but may be against him... and I also hope to see the Taekwondo man fighting)

BTW, does anyone notice that Hwang' Sando is QUITE different now?
When Hwang was fighting along Munsu against HwalBinDang, and before that, her Sando was a Wolf-like Beast. How come her Sando is now a human?
I might have missed something. Can anyone explain?

and sando is ..... even I can't explain it

Sando aren't humans, was said in the last chapter. Miss Hwang's Sando was a dragon, now is in the human form. Munsu's Sando is in a human form and if she has another form, I wonder what animal it is. But if it is true then why was she with a human earlier?

that human she was with in the begining was supposed to be a veternarian if I remember it right...

I began fallowing the series right before the mandrake dream shift on a whim. and i must say i am most pleased with this series it has has all the makings to be one of my top. as for characters i have to say my favorite was the commander of his shadow troops when he fought kitan the 1st time because those troops became the paragon of what his summoned warriors are. so when he reappeared http://www.onemanga.com/Shin_Angyo_Onshi/66/10/
I was like YESS!!! a comrade that will comeback and support you after death. who's life on the battle field continues with every step you are willing to make. thats not just a friend thats not just a comrade that is a brother.

Minor spoiler for those who haven't read 71 yet
Man, I can't help but feel bad for Kaidaten even though she is a little demonic breeding monstrosity.
Kaidaten: Damn it, my heads going to get cut off again. God why do they always go for the head, christ. Hah! You missed! Wait... damn... they cut off my head. ._.;;

im sorry to say...maybe it'll be a spoiler..you can find the RAWS in french site though...Munsu and Aji tae died together in the last battle...in a tragic way...but it's really cool and amazing storyline with great characters..it's such a shame the manga ended in only 17 volumes.
What the bloody hell? What is with that goddamn retarded bs? Don't you have some decency?
Delete it for heck's sake.

Yeah, it's pretty amazing how dumb people can be. Probably some 12 year old who thinks it's cool how he knows the ending already and wants to show the world. Sorry, but saying "maybe it's a spoiler" and then stating the biggest spoiler in the story right after in the same sentence usually doesn't give people a fast enough reaction to stop reading unless you read at the pace of a preschooler. Also why even bother saying that spoiler at all? Seriously, dumb!

NO!!! Why did I read this...It's now the biggest spoil I read...Us there is no way for us, common reader to delete it? Argh, that's horrible, there is no way I can forget what I read (though once I saw how it turns out, I stop reading but too late)
And yeah, the Kaidaten was...owned you can say? She was really afraid of having her head cut off (though it's understandble). It wasn't explain how did she resurrected...I guess it was the same as all these zombies and the three heroes of the ancient time

Oh man I'm dying here!!! I really need a scan of volume 17, or maybe ill just learn Japanese. I have the raw just sitting on my desktop... the temptation is killing me!!!

I think 99% of us always say we're so desperate we'll learn Japanese to continue a series but we never do -_-); it's crazy hard because of the random Chinese characters littered around. But yeah, never download RAWs, they are evil sirens trying to spoil everything for you, ELIMINATE WITHOUT MERCY.

Well is it safe to assume that once volume 17 is translated, onemanga will be one of the first places to have a scan? Or is there some other site that is generally the fastest in getting thier hands on this stuff?
Tdogg
03-13-2008, 04:34 PM
yea Onemanga won't be the first but they are pretty fast at getting their hands on stuff again
and its getting more popular everyday so they will have it at first sight the admins and people in charge around here are really good. (even though I haven't talked to any directly)

Every minute counts when waiting in this state!!! Well, not really. Thanks guys, I'll just stick with onemanga.
wow! I managed to read this manga up to the recent chapters. It took so long...
At first I didn't know that Aji Tae is such a horrible, cruel person. The first encounter with him and Sando makes him seem to be a nice guy. but later on what he has done to Won Sul was terrible. Won Sul is such a great fighter, but he's just being used by Aji Tae. I really pity him.
I wonder what really happend in that cave. It's not that clear to me now.
I'm looking forward to the encounter of Munsu and Sando:)

For what I understand, in the cave, Mun Su really flew away, while Hae Mo Su stayed and answer the question of Aji Tae, becoming the king. Then Aji Tae must have possessed him (but I don't think he killed him), Hae Mo Su does looked strange when he gat out of the cave. And after that, well, we all know what happened with Hae Mo Su becoming the king, finally "ate" by Aji Tae (the moment when Hae Mo Su was killed is a mystery...in the cave? during his first meeting with Aji Tae as he said himself?...). If you look at the whole part of the past, since the first time you see Hae Mo Su, there is hints that he's at least possessed by Aji Tae

wow first manga koreano but is amazing, dont had works enough to describe it, i cant wait for the end
methaniel, thanks for explanation!
I see your point and it explains a lot, if Hae Mo Su is possessed by Aji Tae. The death of Hae Mo Su (to be eaten) wasn't as dramatic as I expected it. So there must be more behind it. There must be a relation between the two of them. So with "being possessed" it makes sense to me.
