Welcome to the cursed island of Shina Dark. This island is called home by the dark lord Exoda C. Claw AKA Satan. He's as powerful a being as you could ever hope to meet. Feared and hated the world over for the infinite amount of atrocities he's committed. He's.....actually a really nice guy who just wants to chill out around the castle and relax... After a month long nap he awakens to find that the rest of the world has made up another ridiculous rumor and blown it way out of proportion and that has caused his little island to be crowded with a thousand beautiful princesses meant to be his mistresses/sacrifices. Worse yet is that since they have set foot on his island they are all believed to be cursed and are now shunned by their homelands. What’s a couch potato Satan to do with 1000 women who wont leave? Who can say?

Watching the "sacrifices" beat up the "heroes" this time around was funny as hell too, as was watching Satan and company go through the dungeon.

Oh and I just found this series today and loved it, WTH man, Why do I never find the good stuff until late.

ANd those people can go to H*** in a handbasket for abandoning those girls and then being Bastards when any came back. The sad thing is that if he does lose or leave they will kill those girls unjustified all because of a false legend.

-So they have given more insight into Estgloria, Christina's kingdom. Perhaps they will do on on the other princess and what has been happening in her absence. In any case, I wouldn't be surprised if Satan's party gets caught up in the Estgloria mess if Christina went back out of worry.

You always need a strategist, even if just so you can say you have one. Hell look at the first Suikoden, Tir had a ****ing grim reaping for a right hand, but he still needed a strategist. Exo happen to be a demon lord and has a dragon goddess for a pet, but he still needs a strategist damnit. Especially when you consider that the strategist is hotter than hell.

True, the only woman Exo has shown to have any interest in was that Cynthia woman in the portrait. Odds are she will probably end up being someone famous in the Shina Dark universe, my guess is either one of the heroes that "defeated" Exo centuries past or maybe even the goddess Stark, if Stark happens to be the goddess's last name and not her first. Anyway, odds are we'll learn who Cynthia is along with why Exo is so damn feared when he is obviously a good guy.

Actually Shina Dark is seinen, but I just used Ninja Scroll and Basilisk b/c both had women with poison babymakers. lol

But I'm interested in who this woman is. Maybe we'll start to get into an actual linear storyline now that SD is on the international scene.

That's exactly what I was thinking b/c Satan does seem to have some sort of grasp on high level dark magic (dragons and other various monsters in his basement, open dimensional rifts, demon contracts). So I figured he may have actually been a pretty bad guy before.

it could be cynthia was killed due to all the fighting, and died saving satan. satan couldn't handle it and exiled himself to an island to be alone. he erased most of his memory about how cynthia died to ease his pain and that's how we end up with the goofy satan. or people went to his island and he killed those who approached it and the rumors and legends started about "satan's" island.

Chapter 9 was pretty shocking. Quite a bit of a revelation on Christina, and looks can certainly be deceiving. It's a frequently used by still effective tactic on storytelling in manga-Said character acts in a certain way, but has a past that his/her current actions cannot tell us of.

Though the fact that we have a pacifistic demon lord is what makes Shina Dark unique, that doesn't mean we can't wish for him to be a little more aggressive from time to time. I mean Sekirei is unique in that we have a overly gentile moron surrounded by five hotties that want to jump his bones. Though we know him getting it on with his harem will never happen it doesn't mean we don't wish for it for time to time. Same rules apply to Shina Dark. Just because I know Exo won't go off and smite stuff doesn't mean I don't wish he wouldn't off a select few individuals.

Well I got a feeling the advance tech might wind up being explained in the next couple of chapters. Last volume was primarily about Christina and her country and why she was sent away, so this volume will probably be about Galett and her country and why she was sent away. The next volume will probably be a volume that focuses primarily on story advancement.

Though the fact that we have a pacifistic demon lord is what makes Shina Dark unique, that doesn't mean we can't wish for him to be a little more aggressive from time to time. I mean Sekirei is unique in that we have a overly gentile moron surrounded by five hotties that want to jump his bones. Uhg, the point I was trying to make Darkreaper is that you can say "I wish x would happen," simply because you would like to see x happen, even though you know x won't happen. I mean there has to be some points in your life where you said, "I wish for x," or, "I wish x would occur." All common sense dictates that x won't happen and you know x won't happen. X was just a whim basically. When I said I wish Exo would go smite stuff, I knew that it wouldn't actually happen (basically for the reasons you listed earlier). I said what I said simply to give a few people a chuckle and maybe get a few I wish responses in return. That's it.

Call me crazy, but my gut is telling me that the Prime Minister introduced in the last chapter's final page is going to end up being a big bad guy. I duuno why, he just has that "evil dude" thing going on. In terms of large scale action, me thinks that we have a long ways to go before anything big occurs. Odds are we are going to see two or three more volume of Shina Dark before we get into wars and such sorted things.

Shina Dark runs in Dengeki Daioh, the magazine that runs used to have Yumeria, Azumanga Daioh (I know it's kinda ironic), and Kashimashi; and currently runs Gunslinger Girl, Hayate Cross Blade, and Tsukihime. But I don't think SD is in every issue though.

Haha, funny. Truth be told, I don't really see Exo entering into a romantic relationship with any of the girls. I mean the only two he has any relationship with is Christina and Galett and he doesn't seem to be all that interested in starting a romantic relationship with either. Odds are that Cynthia lady in the portrait will probably be his only romantic relationship in the entire series, and even then its more than likely going to be a former relationship.

Well that's not to say that there won't be romance in the manga, just that Exo won't be the center of it. A new male character(s) could enter the story and become the love interest of Christina and Galett or for all we know Christina and Galett might enter into a relationship with each other. (And before someone show up and tells me I'm being perverted again, I am using the top head right now people.) Of course a love interest of Exo could be introduced or he could do something(s) that win Galett's and/or Christina's heat, so who knows.

Considering the kind of guy he is, and the way how he carries the burden of being ruler of SD he probably wouldn't want to drag his kin into it all.
In other words, reguardless of who would bear his child(ren) he does not want them to have to carry on the title/status of what he is.

But I will agree that I would be kinda disappointed if he somehow didn't get into a more involving relation with those 2....such a waste ;)

After seeing Christina fail at the first few things -when she was trying to find something to do- I kind of predicted that she'd become the Lelouche of Shina Dark hehe.

Well I hate to say it, but...there's really not much to Shina Dark besides the fanservice, at least so far. It's trying to give the characters background, but somehow I think that stuff is still overshadowed by the giant racks and constant bath scenes.

There aren't really that many fanservice shots in the manga. It's just mostly a bathroom scene or a piece of the shirt is torn off. That's it. Alot of times it's about how Satan wishes to resolve everything peacefully and how they are trying to live their new lives. That's it.

For example, in chapter 8 a serious scene with Prince Darcy is immediately followed by 3 naked girls ambushing Satan in the bath. Just kinda doesn't give you time to let things sink in, and with me at least, the latter part leaves a stronger impression.
