I want to start reading it but...it's been soo long since I seen the first one I kinda forgot exactly what happened at the end...so, can anyone refresh my memory?:eban:

i've only seen the anime although i still dont remember the end
i no the 2 twins that are not human fight each other but i don't remmember who survived...

hmm.. I only read the first few chapters of Trigun maximum, but I'm a bit confused since I have no idea what happens before the eventa of the series :O

I've seen the anime so I think Vash was fighting the samurai and then Knives activated Vash's angel arm, then he shot a crater in the fifth moon. Hope the info helps.

im not sure which one is better right now as im only 3 chapters in the manga

In the manga Vash fights the samurai later in Trigun Maximum.

Some key events of the first manga:
. Character introduction (mostly how extremely strong they are despite they look weird)
. Vash met Legato who is Knife's slave/follower/worshiper...
Legato challenged Vash that he will fight Knife's group of assasin the Hung-Go Gun(?) . If Vash wins, each assasin will give Vash half a coin to put in a special white box.
. Vash defeated some weaker assassins of the group.
. Vash met Nicolas who actually is a secret assassin of Knife.
. Vash tried to fight or convince Knife. Knife activated Vash's Angel Arm. Knife wanted Vash to blow the whole area away like a past incident, but Vash somehow pointed the shot up to the moon so no one got killed. The Angel Arm is at least nuke-level.
. Vash disappeared.
. Of course Vash & Knife are "plants" not human.

If I remember correctly the important difference from the anime in the first manga is Vash's revolver. In the manga it is only an ordinary gun and it defines Vash as a gunman who fights like a human.

EDITED: check the wikipedia Trigun. They have very detailed storyline. Careful though, don't read the Trigun Maximum spoilers :)
