Recognition helps. I would have never read Love Hina until I saw the awards and reviews it got. Also I am only started reading Negima because Ken wrote it. Most people base it on recognition or from other sources like, Negima being another work of Ken Akamatsu. I am only continuing reading Negima because I already started it and I feel it is obligatory to finish it.

As I said MOST people read it because either Ken wrote it. I don't really care what your opinion is because your opinion and logic fails to live up to my likelihood. Therefore I don't care.

That questions the validity of Negima being much better than OP because OP has the best original storyline out there. Negima is about mages. Do you know how many mage/magic mangas are out there? I like negima, even though i hate harlems. Its unpredictable, suspensful (chao's plan), fairly interesting fights (the tournament), interesting characters (everyone), and a nicely developed storyline. Its the story of a boy trying to be like his father, thats pretty cool i guess (he's 10, come on!). He also wants to help the world but considers philosophy of evil.

Why doesn't it have awards? Actually, its highly rated in Japan where Love hina isn't so famous (Its more famous in the US). The reason the manga isnt famous is because of the animes. All the animes failed to portray the best parts of the series or even effectively show the manga storylines. If an anime fails at that, the manga will never be read or reviewed. Last i checked though, negima got 2nd place in the storyline poll of Nagita or something >.> but thats just a poll.

There is no translation in here that states Negima won an award. If it is a newspaper or whatever sure they will have a website. Until then I see no reason why Negima has won an award. This has not piqued my tastes.

Lmao. Your calling me dyslexic when it is you who can't read well? Read my post. I clearly asked you FIRST what is it I said about being prejudiced. That second sentence is a sarcastic comment in which I only put in so that it can be implied it is sarcasm. And who cares. Some dictionaries are not up-to-date or even put in other words that they don't classify as a "word". Negima starts off for quite a while just filled with shameless nudity and some ok characters. However, once the kyoto saga finale comes, there is more action. The tournament is very interesting for numerous reasons. You can see your favorite character fight and you cannot guess the outcome. Also, the abilities of the people are pretty cool.

If you stick with it, the story is worth it and the action is decent. Here is one ability that is interesting:

On page 6 - I think ChaoRin19 posted the translantions for Negima ch 201 raw. Anyway I decide to give it a shot in doing couple pages to make them into English translated. After few hours (being my first time!)... Learned a few things with my PhotoStudio program, but not bad what I've done.

Maybe once I get used to that, I may be faster in turning each page...but I do now understand and have more respect how much the scantators have been working for all the manga transtated so we can read in English!

Um, lots of anime fans picked up on the Negima pactio idea and they mad their own. Ken did not make all the pactio cards you find online. I dont think he made those for Love Hina and defintely not for other animes. Seriously, if you search an anime nowadays, you might find a pactio card of a character. I've seen cards for pokemon, inuyasha, and DBZ...

personally, yue is a character i wont miss. also surprising how the martial artists that train for so long is being outdone by amateurs. yue, nodoka, etc *level up* faster but ku, kaede not so much.

well they are masters already.... being masters in the peak of their strength is hard for them to level up....
lets put an example in RPG games. High level character are hard to level up but low level
ones are fast and easy. Especially if you put them against stronger ones.

yeah, but they're masters of certain styles only. if you want to be true master then you should learn other styles. i want to learn more about kufei's development in chi or kanka (what she was practicing in eva's resort with kaede/kotaro). it be unfair if she only made little to moderate improvement in that area since she's still a noob. yue might get a level up in 203.

I can't read it...... so negi is that weak having only 500 and fate is 3000 and takamichi is below fate... is it somekind of joke? Well I already foresaw that fate is strong as the level as the crimson wings but the gap between fate and takamichi is huge...that makes his master weak???? because al said that takamichi is already better than his master in the tournament???

I am not surprised Fate is so much stronger, Takamichi can not use spells and he is Negi's nemesis according to Ken. And i think Gateu is still more powerful than Takamichi, he could use several of those beam attacks, while Takahata can only do one. I think Al was refering to something else.

I think its refereing to the cannon attacks because thats what gateu was doing.
NICE FIREWORKS.... takamichi doens't need to use multiple attacks to attack
negi or his dead back then. But still takamichi did say that his still not on the level
as the crimson wings...... maybe because gateu can use spells and takamichi can't
and some spells will drastically increase the cannon attack.

a few things. Fate is 6 times stronger than Negi, not 5 (do the math). And Rakan is crazy. And Negima is not a SJ series, its in a different magazine.

Negima is serilized in Weekly Shounen not Weekly Shounen Jump. The two of them are heavy rival, and currently Shounen Jump is the top and Weekly Shounen is second. No surprise becuase SJ hold the currently top 3 series and others which are also considered to be 'one of the very best'. But Weekly Shounen currently also have something good in it: Negima, School Runble, Air Gear, Tsubasa, Fairy Tail, etc.
