You remember that old serie, it had two anime versions eat-man And Eat-man ´98, but nothing compares to the manga, the story is similar to the one of trigun, a non-human character that leads the story while he trys to keep alive in a future and chaotic world.

hmm.. here are the description..
Bolt Crank - aka Eat-Man - is a wandering explorer who eats everything, from radios to swords to a chaser of gasoline. In particular, he eats things that may come in handy later, when he can transform the flesh of his arm into the mechanism he's consumed!

There are 19 volumes in total. However Viz only worked on till volume 2 or 3. The rest are scanlated.

I was wonder if any here has read Eat-Man by Akihito Yoshitomi?
It would be a great addition to the site and as far as I know it is not owned by anyone.

Story:
Eat-Man is a series of short, episodic stories about an "explorer" (a type of mercenary job) named Bolt Crank, who has the ability to eat virtually anything, and can then produce from his body at will any object he has consumed. Eat-Man's world is a mix of high tech futurist and fairy tale styles. The episodes take place in various worlds and in undefined times.

The ending is great and even if it is never added to the site it is a must read for people who like weird manga.

P.S I have scans of the full manga if anyone wants it.

All of the scans are on there, so we could have the whole series uploaded onto the site in one go. All 19 volumes of it...

I WANT IT!

Eat-Man, created by Akihito Yoshitomi, is a story about an Explorer named Bolt Crank (sort of like a mercinary) and the various adventures he has. Bolt Crank, who has the ability to eat virtually anything, and can then produce from his body at will any object he has consumed. Eat-Man's world is a mix of high tech futurist and fairy tale styles. The episodes take place in various worlds and in undefined times.

As far as i can tell all 19 volumes are scanlated, the series ended in 2002. This is a very well rounded Manga, very interesting Hero (Bolt Crank), good action, and from what i heard it offers a lot of plot twists and turns and still manages to keep you guessing at the end.

here is the description
Eat-Man is a manga by Akihito Yoshitomi, serialized monthly in Dengeki Comics GAO! Anthology. Eat-Man follows the adventures of Bolt Crank a man who has the ability to eat anything(and I do mean ANY thing) and reform it through his arms at any time as he needs it. For example, he eats someone's gun, and he can reform it in his hand and it's fully functional. Being a Mercenary for hire, this ability naturally comes in handy.

The stories of Eat-Man follow Bolt Crank as he goes through various jobs, or sometimes back to an old acquaintance for a favor or to finish a job started a long time ago. There isn't a consistent plotline overall, most of the time each story is a one-shot, with sometimes two-parters. Some details from previous stories are carried over, and characters come back to make other appearances in later stories.

tell me if any oe else wat this.

Eat-man is licensed by Viz who worked on the first two volumes then dropped the series, but I've seen plenty of Viz manga's up on the site so that shouldn't be a problem.

The series is finished and the rest of the chapters have been translated by various groups, though I don't think any group translated the first two volumes since Viz already translated them. I could be mistaken though since I haven't looked into it to much.

If the first two volumes where not scanlated by another group then OM probably won't host them since they don't host ripped scanlations that where made by a company.

Well the rest of the series was translated by various people, so I'm sure it's a decent series, but as I said before I don't know if any group translated teh first two volumes which Viz had already done.

Oh and it is kinda odd that they dropped a series, though I don't pay to much attention to scanlation companies so I wouldn't know if it's a normal thing.

Maybe they just didnt like it. Eat-Man is quite different.
funfact, the character design is different in the first two volumes.
the whole manga is slightly different in the first two...
main characters personality is different too.

Actually, maybe that's why they dropped it? Maybe they didnt quite like the first two volumes.. Or, maybe they didn't get a good reception and/or sales... The manga gets better as it goes along though. the story telling gets better, the stories themselves get more interesting.

it wouldn't really matter if the first two volumes weren't put up. they're all mostly separate stories, with only one major story arc, only 2 or 3 stories which are later "continued" in later volumes. (characters that get revisited)

plus if anything, some consistency would be preserved... (witht he different designs and personality thing and all...)

Id be a nice manga to have up.
