does the anime follow the storyline of the manga's ?

Mostly yes, though it ends quickly, I think its because the project was dropped for awhile before being picked up by someone else.

I've seen the anime ande wasn't impressed with the ending. Is it any better in the manga? Do they actually explain who and what the blade children are or does it have a philisophical ending too?

mmm... well i havent seen the ending yet but up until now they havent say what the blade childrens really are.... although there's another spiral called spiral-alive which is in the main site and it seems it was before of what happened in spiral-suiri no kizuna... which i havent read yet but it might say something about it....

Yay the Spiral is cool. I saw the anime and was thinking that they might make a second season, because it didn't have a real ending.

I like the manga more than the anime. But that usually happens to me because if I read the manga first I don't think the anime is really good but if I watch the anime first then I think the manga isn't so good. ><; I'm sort of indecisive when I have to choose what I like.

Well, the anime takes a different path from the manga, which is happening at an increasing rate nowadays, so I didn't like it much for that reason. I usually like manga more than anime, a factor in would probably be that I can read manga faster than watching an anime, though Bleach is an exception to liking an anime more than a manga for me.

I'm glad that Narumi, I hope I'm not thinking his name is another, got his feelings out to Madoka; Keeping that in was a weight on him and he has been loaded with too many lately.

I just hate how they refer to his brother as God, and Narumi doesn't realize that he is the most likely to be the Devil. It is possible for another person to be the Devil, but doubtful. About his brother, he isn't even there, which makes the variables in his plans even more affective, unless he has the watchers inform him every small period of time..

There hasn't been any implys that Kiyotoka was evil, actually quite the opposite, but I get the feeling he is evil. I just feel that when he and the main character meet that he won't be "welcoming" and try to test him even more, now we are in the comedy/rest phase of the manga^^ Hiyono is the blonde girl right?

i don't really like kyotaka although he's not showing in the manga .. he seems like a horrible person!

yeah i'm glad he confessed too... and i hope that Ayumu now develops feelings for Hiyono-chan!! *HiyoAyu-Fan*

I think he does, but later on someone (Ayumu's brother?) tells ayumu a lil bit about hiyono.. and let his hopes down xD,

and Hiyono is not really "Hiyono" ;)

I love Spiral Suiri no Kizuna!! I love how Hiyono-chan didn't give up and how Narumi-kun is when he tries to figure things out with some help of other characters or items. It's kind of like Conan but I like spiral better O_o; ^_^ =P

Spiral is a little bit like case closed. It has a darker feel but still has the detective. I love detective manga and anime!

Spiral is really awesome. Usually I get bored after reading the same Manga for some time but this one was great from the very beginning. I know the series is complete, so how many chapters are there in total? I don't want to read Alive before this one ends. :lol:

There are 76 chpters. I want to read the end of Spiral but it's in Japanese so I can't read it! I hope someone will translate all the serie soon! :D

Yes, you're right, though the anime ended up, the stOry wasn't.

I'm hOping that there will be a seCond season of spiral... :eban:

And as an ayuhiyo fan, i'm also hoping that there will be a development in ayumu and hiyono's "relationship"...

I'm bringing this thread back.

The differences with the manga and anime.. so many that I can see. The most important one, the explanation of the Blade Children. The anime simply gives how they were like.. birds.

I feel disappointed with that. The manga goes into much more detail. As for the story and the mysteries, pretty well written. Each character has their own unique look. If you've just seen the anime, and didn't feel that "complete" feeling, read the manga.

I don't see any sort of relationship at all between Ayumu and Hiyono. I don't think there ever was suppose to be any relationship that interferes with the story. Just a plain ol' good mystery manga.

Yeah, the Anime sucked. I thought at first those would be fillers and it will end with the "Kanone in School Battle" but it didn't. They even dared to butcher Kanone's character to a psycho, horrible.

At first I also thought it was cool they changed the murderer in the first case to make it more exciting for the people who read the Manga but since that already changed the story so much I have to revise that.
I don't see any reason why they couldn't just follow the Manga's plot, time couldn't have been the problem when there was 60% original stuff.

...the skyscraper story (where Hiyono and Rio were held captive) was cool though but that's not an excuse. :p

I watched the anime first and I thought it was okay, but reading the manga proved me wrong. Spiral is GREAT! I liked Kanone better in the manga version, since his character there is more in-depth.

That's my favorite part in the anime too XD

yah, me too.... me too..
i've watched its anime first and kinda got addicted to it..
but, after finishing the anime, i've came up to a conclusion that
i'd better read the manga to fulfill my "glutton on information (hiyono)...
haha,,
the story in anime didn't show the " climax " shown on the manga..
got it?

well, putting those aside, i recently read the latest 2 chapters of
spiral...
and,
i really loved it !

the moment when ayumu embraced hiyono...

the series is great, my only issue is the length between releases, its come to the point where if i try to read any new chapters they come out with i have to reread the last 2 or 3 just to remind myself where in the story line they are at and how things progressed, its really annoying
