I'm not sure about most of the matches, there isn't many male characters which is what I think is a problem because the only choice most girls will take is Neji, he needs someone to lay the attention off him if he can actually move.

I can't decide who my absolutly favorite character is but so far...
Kaede, Setsuna, Sanders the one guy who acts kinda like Neji's dad, and Kotaro. Well these are most of the more memorable fav chars of mine.

have a look at these custom sprites I found and collected from a french forum.
There were more such as Yuna and Satomi, and Sayo, but I only collected the ones of characters that actually fight in the manga, I want to make a fighting game with them.

I wish I could draw that well, If I could, I'd use Eva, Albirio, Fate, Graf Wilhelm, Tanaka, Setsuna, Takane, Mei Sakura, The thousand master, and Negi of course.

yes but, in one of the chapters negi explains to asuna about the pactio and it shows a picture of a man in armor and a woman in mages clothes, they were the perfect team, and when asuna gets her pactio card it has her in really cool armor and negi has a mages cloak so they are much more suited than anyone else

no because they weren't doing as well on the anime as in the manga, they cut out lots of chapters of the manga, so they could change the ending in the anime, so they could end it short

actually, what if konoka and negi got married and had a kid, Negi inherited his father's power and Konoka has power to rival or even surpass the Thousand Master's. If they had a child, it would be the strongest mage ever! Negi could probably surpass his father, he has his power, but Nagi, while cunning and skilled, doesn't have the brains that Negi has, nor the versatility.
Nagi only knew 6 or 7 spells including; Infernus Scholasticus(School Hell), Jovis Tempestas Fulguriens (Jupiter's Lightning Storm), Sagitta Magica (Magic Archer), Dios Tukos (God's Axe), Hekatontakis Astrapsato (Thousand Thunderbolts), and maybe one or two others, and he couldn't even remember any of them without first looking in a pocket notebook.

Also, Who has been wondering about the other two people in the photo with Gateau, Eishun, Nagi and Albireo?, the boy might be Takamichi twenty years ago, he is apparently thirty years old.
And what about the giant with the massive sword?

anyway Albireo is how the manga spells it, but, since it is a translation and Japanese writing is not fully compatible with the english alphabet, translation mistakes can happen . in romaji al's name would probably be ARUBIRIO since the E sounds sound like eh as in bet rather than ee as in cheese.
It could be meant to be Alberio or Albirio.

Fate is not a clone or anything close to being a clone of Nagi.

That is because Fate said something to Negi like "you can't beat me at your current state" implying that Negi could be much more powerful; and to Eva "it would be disadvantageous for me to fight you right now" (?) explicitly admitting that he is weaker than Eva.

I finally found Setsun Sakurazaki in a Japanese website and have added her to my MUGEN game, she is near impossible to beat in "easy" mode and even more so in hardest, as she has multiple combos and specials which she uses liberally, and on hardest also has a "instant death attack" the Shinmei ryu final attack shown in volume 12 (chp 108 or 109) which matches Eva's Ensis Ex Sequens(executioner's sword) spell in power level.

what's stronger Kozmikh Katazrophe or Ensis Ex Sequens?

I have volumes 1-14 and am awaiting the release of 15 later this month.

about Asuna being around during the war, maybe that flashback wasn't from the "great war" but an invasion that took place later on maybe just months before Nagi's disappearance?
if Asuna is older than she looks, why has she aged at normal rate since 10 years ago, then?

power level is not dependent on education as well. Eva once said that Negi and Konoka are like big tanks of magical energy (implying the unused potential) and even Konoka was kidnapped because she is a trump card (even thought she was just used as a tool...) because her power is likely to surpass even Nagi's (from Eishun, Konoka's dad) - and that was when Konoka had absolutely no magical education! :D

I think Cosmic Catastrophe is stronger because it takes much more tedious preparation. It's more of a "Wizard" type spell, while Ensis Ex Sequens is more of a "Magic Knight/Gladiator" type spell. Depending on timing, one may be of more practical use than the other.

he probably means one or more of several things
1) the fact that negi's 10 and can rival the power level of people who are waaay older than him and more powerful
2) he should also enjoy being a kid
3) leads to the fact that he should take pride in the fact that he's a prodigy and can do so much at age 10 and should relax a bit

hmm.... i would have to say at the current level, Setsuna's better than Negi...

so... something like

Nagi => Eva(fully powered) => Alberio Imma => Takamichi => Eishun?(never seen him fight but if he was with Nagi, he ought to be pretty kick-***)/Fate => Setsuna => Negi/Kaede (who probably has more battle experience)/Tatsumiya (or whoever that gunslinger person was) => Kotarou => the rest (too lazy to rank anymore)

okay i think i pretty much got that and yes i agree that the conditions that nagi and negi lived in are different yes nagi is too lazy to study no eva is just old and so is al they probably had nothing better to do so just spent the time honing their powers setsuna is amazing but both of them can defeat the other probably it depends on the reason that one of them is fighting for ie setsuna fights negi because somehow konoka is the reason that kind of stuff

anyhow, i suppose what tsunade said has a point since Negi wasn't battling all the time, i think (cause i might of forgotten) that somewhere it said that Nagi was fighting at the age of 15, so that would mean that his previous life was still somewhat similar to that of Negi's.
Even so, you're right on how Alberio Imma and Eva are on a waaay different level from Negi right now, and i think that's true for them and Takamichi right now too... since although he's powerful... i doubt he could compare with them... and even if he could compare with alberio, he probably still couldn't beat a fully-powered Eva.
so... within a period of a few months to a year, i think it's most probable that Negi will be able to own Takamichi, and just maybe get to the level of Alberio Imma, but i don't think he'll be able to beat a fully powered Eva still.

Hmmm... That would make sense. Maybe Al is a support type or he just fell into that category because he's one of the only mages of the Crimson Wings - one other, being a dropout and a fighter, probably didn't bother to learn better healing spells.

Negi probably would take longer to learn a spell like Cosmic Catastrophe - I think - because I firmly believe that that spell is a "wizard" type spell (Negi is a "magic swordman/gladiator").

Al probably needs a partner to keep him from taking too many direct hits :D

thats true I think eva is a wizard type remember when she battle negi back before she uses spells lots of them to battle unlike fate who battle hand to hand combat and like what eva says when the point they are almost the same the disadvantage will not exist anymore in high level battle only fire power is the most important part :thumbup::thumbup:

thunder axe or deyos tukos cannot be use against mob and its not even near the cosmic catasrophe and I think it will not even sratch the legendary demon lord he needs a mob kiler a wizard spell and only *** kicking wizard spell he has for now is the jovis tempestes fulgruiens and it still not strong enough for the battle in magic country I think if it will be a one on one battle I doubt that negi could be beaten but tons in one that will be problematic and deyos tukos is a finisher for highlevel demons and the area of effect is pretty limited the largest hit I saw is in the tournament against 2 robot in air

I am not Japanese. But this may help. :D

"de gozaru" is the archaic form of "desu" used by samurai when they still existed. while "desu" is a japanese copula (i.e. is, are) placed at the end of a sentence

"aru" (i think) is used in the same way as Naruto's "dattebayo" (in place of desu?). No meaning perhaps? (I think) it stems from Ku Fei's chinese background. It must some kind of sentence ender.
"aruka" is Ku Fei's sentence ender + "ka" which denotes a (polite) question
"arune" is KF's SE + "ne" which could roughly mean "isn't it?"
"aruyo" is KF's SE + "yo" which means (not translates to) "I tell you" (that is, it reinforces what the speaker is saying) (ex. She's beautiful, i tell you. = Kanojo wa kirei desu yo.

Chao also has her sentence enders I just forgot them. :D

Well the dvd versions from Madman Entertainment had complete redraws for all the characters compared to the original so it looks pretty good, and the canon was all right for some of it up to the 21st episode, though the events were in the wrong order and the whole series is pushed into one year so they stay as 2A instead of graduating to 3A and the Kyoto trip was shortened and Asuna was the only pactio (not including mass pactio in ep 25) Kotaro was left out and his fight with Negi was one of the coolest! seeing an animated version of his fights withe Eva and Eva vs Ryomen Sukuna no Kami were good.
They kingd of put too much emphasis on making it a love comedy and downplayed the action! Booooo Shaft!
Still I like the themesongs Happy material, and Please teach me master.

Ako already has a pactio card connecting her to her "Medical Officer" duties in class (It's Ako in a nurse uniform wielding - yes wielding - a giant syringe). I'll look for it on the net (I have it in my home database but i don't have photobucket or imageshack). TRIVIA: other people with official pactio card (made by Ken Akamatsu) but don't have pactio yet: Eva, Inchou, Makie, Fuuka and Fumika, Kazumi, Sakurako (cheerleader), and Satomi :D

From what I've been reading in other sources, the anime can't even compare to the manga. Ken Akamatsu RULES!!!

My element would be Earth since that's the element I grew up having an affinity to (because I had three other siblings, we split the four elements amongst ourselves). Fate was Earth? Wasn't he water (water teleportation, water tickling spell) with petrification magic? And second element would be Lightning since it adds a "stun" effect.



What mage would you be? I think I would be more of a Wizard than a Magic Fighter. I have slow reflexes and have no training in any martial art. On the plus side, I'm one of the smarter people at school - not the smartest mind you - so I guess studying deep magic won't really bother me that much.

TRIVIA: Take a zoomed look at Kazumi's pactio card. There are some pictures which contain Love Hina in them! :D I'm not too sure about Mr. Akamatsu's other works though :D

i thought those cards were fanmade, plus he has yet to show haruna's actual pactio. for the elemental mage thing i think i would be a combination of shadow and water and a magic fighter. i know there are more branches for mages because eva said that those were the two styles more compatible with negi but i can't seem to think of anything other than that.

More branches?! Refresh on your RPG! :D Black mage, white mage, blue mage, red mage, summoner, etc (these are from the Final Fantasy Series). Wizard (Albireo) = black mage. Magic Swordsman (Negi, Nagi) = red mage. Konoka = white mage. Onmyou (Setsuna, Chigusa)= Summoner. I don't have a clue about blue mages though...

I'd add a Fighter who just uses spells as buffs, but that would likely fall into the Magic Swordsman category. But Takamichi is a mage. And he doesn't fall into the Magic Swordsman category (i think).

Then there's the alchemists. Remember when Eva was reliant on bottled spells?

There are others that I must have missed but I can't think of more... sorry...

I think takamichi is a magic swordsman he doesn't use any spell or to be exact he cannot he only use physical strength and magic combination the kanka. its like negi battle hymn that enhance his physical strength abd lastly wizard type fight long range and doesn't go front line but swordmagic is shortrange and fight hand to hand so by this description you should all ready know about what is takamichi and about the pactio cards I haven't seen it yet

I just view the pactio cards and about ako I thinks its a nurse outfit and meaning a healer but we already got the greatest healer konoka can heal anything just like what that old demon says with a few training a two healer in a party will not be to shaby but konoka is fine for me

Actually there is a card of haruna, it hasn't been properly shown yet, but on the back of volume 14 of Negima! the cover has a picture of Haruna with a pink costume including beret holding a quill pen and a sketchbook with an ink-bottle on a chain attached to it, though the image hasn't got the pactio card background. Maybe Ken never found a pretext to have Haruna show off her pactio card's picture?
perhaps when negi gets his next pactio she'll show her card to the new "partner".

I never heard of Negima until I saw an add for the anime in a catalogue and thought it looked interesting, then I found out that the manga was supposed to be much better and when I saw it in the shop I bought volumes 4&5

After reading the manga, I saw that the anime doesn't even compare!:D

having kotaro pactio with negi is totally of course of the story I think negi's partner will only girls for what he have said before in looking partner a boy needs a partner girl and having imagining negi and kotaro kiss makes me throw all I eat :devil::devil:
and about anya I would like to see her have a pactio anya might be strong but not to strong I think if there will be a scene having anya going pactio with negi I can imagine that but with eva havign pactio cards is just unimaginable she is so strong :thumbup:
