You used water after you coloured it with your pencil didn't you? It does leave such "smudgy" effects which are not bad at all, depends on how you use it. Lol maybe you didn't use water, and that'll be my mistake. I'm interested in that effect - looks like products from a Chinese brush.

I must say I like the red hair. The lines are fine and can be seen even after you've scanned it. Kudos for your effort!
