Er... What sane reason can Kuina's father possibly have to make him purposely send his own daughter to danger and not even try to reinstate her old memory back? (if she did have amnesia). Kuina's father isn't that type of person. He was happy watching his daughter compete with Zoro.

Kuina's dad is a real mysterious man!

Yeah, I can't find a reason why he'd do that anyways...
then again, One Piece hasn't ended yet so we don't know
the whole truth behind Kuina, Tashigi or Koshirou (Kuina's daddy)

So the favored theory is that she had amnesia when she fell down the stair case and didn't remember who Zoro was?

I think she is dead and that Tashigi is a sister or cousin (most likely twin sister separated at birth)

Oda has proven that most everything he does has meaning somewhere and if tashigi resembles Kuina so much to disturb Zoro there is a reason.

Everyone is looking forward to Mihawk vs. Zoro for good reason but as for me Zoro vs. Tashigi is what I want to see.

He has to learn how to fight her and she wants to get stronger to take Kuina's sword from him

I think Kuina is dead, because in manga her dead body was shown to zoro :s, i wanted it to be just amnesia or something but it's really improbable.

Remember, she couldn't take over the dojo since she was a girl and could not be the World's Strongest Swordsman. Instead of letting her be like that, she was sent by her father to the Marines to collect the Ryuu-waza-mono from evil guys or something. Zoro has one, he's considered a bad guy ...

Nami hated pirates too... and although I was fully expecting Nami to join, I still puked regardless when she joined...

As for Tashigi... I don't think she'll join. Nothing to suggest she'll join so far for me, much like Perona's case I think.

I don't think Kuina has much to do with Tashigi other than resemblance btw, Oda knows what's too farfetched and what's not. Kuina died. Tashigi resembles her. End of story.

I rhink Tashigi would need a lot of improvement to also give Nami or Ussop a serious challenge.

What have we seen from Tashigi --

-In Arabasta with Robin & Loguetown with Zoro she provided no challenge. She didn't just lose badly, she never even came close to pulling off a decent attack.
-In WB war, she's still standing but she's right next to Smoker. We don't know if she can last more than a few minutes without a logia user right next to her.
- Beating up no-name Baroque Works members & beating up no-name marines (while training) is only time we haven't seen her defeated.

Tashigi's rank is Ensign while coby's rank is chef petty officer...He is two ranks below Tashigi at the moment.Even if ranks may not mean anything they do hold some significance...Also she lost to Robin & Zoro...She is a swordsman....Losing to Robin is natural...In hell she[robin] even stopped Zoro from using his swords...Her power was overestimated a lot back then[Robins...It had a great advantage.It's a pity that Robin wasn't developed further]...She was facing her,so she lost....Now Nami & Usopp are way over estimated...True Nami beat Califa but wasn't that just arrogance on the part of Califa.Nami was caught at the start in that soap foam & had no power left.Califa didn't finish her off as she[nami] wasn't worth it but Nami managed to take that advantage allowing her to win...Hell Nami & Usopp both won't last against Zoro.Neither did Tashigi...So I would say she is ahead of Nami,Usopp & Coby as of now

She would tie with Brooke[Brooke is ahead of Nami in my lists].This has a pretty nice feel to it...Zoro will be at Mihawks level...Brooke b/c of his sword & his music techs will also be at pretty good position...Many underestimate Brookes skill...True it isn't strong but it strikes after 10 secs after it is delivered.One great art

We can't really say anything about her since none of her opponents gave us a clear view of her skills except that she is way below Zorro's level. Maybe she will have a DF ability when we see her?


I think pshankarc had a good estimation of Tashigi's abilites, she should be weaker then Brooke but around that level.

Tashigi is my favourite female character from the marines by far. I dont think she will ever be able to rival Zoro though since she is a girl and Kuina herself has told Zoro that he would surpass her someday because boys get alot stronger than girls after they grow older.

I agree. I like the idea that she will be a temporary member "A beatiful lady swordman with tons of meat is coming this way !". Usopp's lies tend to be truth.

Their relationship started well until she learned he was a pirate. Their relation started well like and Nami's relationship.

They will have to fight eventually.

It is possible. There might be a lot of comical scenes. For example, they both show how lame their sense of direction is.

I think she is the perfect complementary of Nami and Robin. She is less femme fatale. She dresses more and she is a real decent fighter.

two drawings of her clothing; one opened button shirt that revealed her cleavage and another one with a full buttoned shirt.
There was an X mark beside the unbuttoned one and
a check mark beside the buttoned shirt.

She showed a bit of cleavage after the Enies Lobby arc. Her breast has gotten a lot bigger as well.

She had a cpmplete new look. I wonder what Zoro will think of this.

Me too. I think Oda is capable somehow.

Zoro and Tashigi might argue a lot as well as much as Luffy and nami do.

The two girls might get along with each other perfectly.
