mmm.... we dont really know yet but it seems Id is from another world and he has like dragon powers or something.... so hes like traveling with mages and elfs and other people to see a dragon... anyway we are not sure because the manga doesnt have that many chapters yet but is something like that..................... btw you have to read from left to right...

Id is a Korean ManHwa based on the Id novel.
The story similar but it has differences.
Id is a young chinese martial arts master. One day he gets his hands on a bracelet which transported him to a cave which he found lamiya. A sword created by the Dragon Graidron. And after Id gets Lamiya, Graidron dies while giving Id his Dragon heart and his body. So Id's body is infused by a 15000 year old Dragon Lord. Id gets his powers and his knowledge( but sinse Id is still human he can not access all of the data at once, he has to search for the info needed small amount at a time.) So Id has his master martial arts skills, the dragon lord's skills and the sword created by Graidron.
Lamiya is the sword created by Graidron. It has a personality/soul and it is female.
After parting with Graidron, he is transported on a forest as shown on the manhwa. there he meets the party a high elf (which he later marries ^.^), a dwarf, a mage, a fighter, and a priestess.
Id actually has a different name , Lee Chong Hwa ( I think), but he adopts the name of Graidron, so Id comes from the name graIDron.

So thats what I think you should know about Id before you read on.
There should be errors on my spelling of names because I read the manhwa and the novels in Korean, (yes I am Korean)
So have fun reading. Its one of my favorites ( even when I think the novel is better than the manhwa...)

In the begining, they start the story so abrubtly with out any sort of background information. The holes are filled later(sort of), but most of the answers you get are basically assumptions.

you can get the latest here in onemanga.com or k-manga.net.... but their latest is only i think volume 5 of the manga... and i dont know when k-manga release another chapter...
but for me i got hold of id upto volume 12 but it is only raws....
so im only 6 volume awy from the current volumes published....

Id is a sweet manga, granted it was confusing in the beginning but as the story progresses questions are answered and new ones arise, which makes it even sweeter as the story goes on, I cant wait to read more of it

I have no idea about the novel. Sorry can't help much but coming back to the recent chapter, I agree with the majority that the last chapter is pretty boring. Though fight scenes are all over the pages, many fight scenes, there's not much plot progress.

The turn of events did not create much impact (in emotions for me). I didnt feel anything when the high elf got blast away and it was I knew that Id would flare up and start using his dragon powers to fight the badie. :o

I know, Id should be SO MUCH more popular than this. It's EASILY better than naruto, bleach and one piece combined.
As of this chapter, i'm kind of disappointed that Id lost even tough he wields a sword as strong as the Gods... can't wait for the next chapter.

And I see that some people have some interest on the novel of Id.
ok, I read the first season (yes season) of the novel of id about 4 months ago.
( it was about 15 to 16 book if memory serves me right...)

the comic follows the story on the novel but there are some events that are different,
the guy who's doing the comic, when he first started on Id, he said that the story will be a litte different. I believe that he said that it would be about 80% same. oh well

the novel I read was Korean
and to the best of my knowledge, it has not been translated to any language.
in korea there are too many oriental/fantasy fusion novels so ID doesn't stand out too much on the market.

In the novel, i could say that it has three arks.
I'll call the fantasy land Gresen(forgot the name, I hope this is correct)
First is the adventures in Gresen the world of magic.
Second is Id's adventures in Id's home world but on present time so about 500 to 800 years from his home.
Third is Id going back to Gresen but 99 years from when he got transported to his world on present day. (ID's fault for being transported to 99 years in the future , he messed up terribly)

I'm also waiting for the chapters of ID but no withdrawals so far. Coming back to the last chapter on Id (chapter 51), I find it comforting that Irlina was safe and the Lamia saved her, though she pretended that she did not.

I'm liking this manga more and more due to its "romantic" elements!

It will not follow the novel 100 %


the manga already has some different and original events...,
one is the "ground zero" which is not on the novel
and on the manga the "six pieces of the soul"( I might be wrong with the name of these six), they kinda met Id before.....
but on the novel they did not....

I mean the author of the manhwa is going in a different path than the novel. The author of the manhwa and the novel are different people...

Hmm, luckily I havnt read any posts in this thread so i guess im lucky about this 'spoil' thing(?), but regardless i did start reading this manhwa a couple days ago and honestly i cant believe its not very popular, its got cool characters and its pretty funny too.

Id and Gray are my fav characters and i laughed so much when Gray cut Id's hair :lol:, if he doesnt want to be mistaken for a girl then cutting his hair would be the best thing to do, but he cries about it instead.

Also the art has changed so much in so little time that Id looks like a totally diffrent person then he did in vol 1 comapred to now

What's the name of the novel's author? I can't find any info on it, and I want to see if I can get it...

The manga seems too RPG-esque: meet up with your "party" (mages r good), head to the temple, beat the first BigBad, wander around the town until you meet a prince...etc...and the characters haven't really been fleshed out at all (except for Id, BARELY). Nonetheless, a fun read so far.
