Isn't Choujirou supposed to be in the HH arc, he not getting manga time as of yet.

Why is this?, Is is the 1st Squad's Vice Captain after all, its should count for being experienced in battle and he should've learned a thing or 2 from the Captain-Commander, or do you guys think he is mostly a erin boy. Doing all the papper work for the Captain-Commander?

Where is this guy at the moment? He just disappeared when the Shinigami Captains scrambled to face their respective Espada opponents, the fact that he hasnt been found or seen implies alot about his abilities, there may be more to this guy. Its rather unsettling...any action he takes in this battle could change everything...what do you reckon he's doing? Do you think he had something to do with Hinamori-kuns sudden appearance on the Fake Karakura Town Battlefield? Its a total mystery at this point..........

I think tite hasn't really thought of a way to put him into the story as of yet. He is seriously the most under-developed character in Bleach. We did get some info about him from the Official Character Books. (The Wiki says that his name was only revealed in the character books, actually.) I feel sorry for him...I actually want to see some english gentleman rapier action going on...

the biggest twist that TK could have in store for choujirou is if he was actually a captain level shinigami and will be the one to be acting as captain commander if yamamoto dies in battle unexpectedly for the transitional period until the election of a captain commander... lol

Not to mention Yamamoto not only has authority over Squad 1, but the other squads as well. He's probably too busy too for other captain duties for his squad alone.
Remember how Kaien ran squad 11 since Jushiro was sick?
It might be something like that.

Something else to note: Chojiro seems like the most boring Lieutenant, along with Soifon's, Ukitake's, and Unohana's (sp). But that could be because of the underdevelopment.

I think we all know that the day he finally fights and whoops somebody, everyone's going to be complaining about the 'Chojiiro Sasakibe fanclub'. Come to think of it, if Yamamoto wanted everyone fighting, why did he have his Lieutenant outside of the barrier? Was he the one keeping it up to avoid involving innocent lives? And where's Nanao? Jeez, some of these Lieutenants need to get in the action.

I wondered if he was blind too. In the manga his eyes are similar to Tosen. Meaning they have no pupils. In the anime He is drawn with yellow pupils. If he is blind, then that means he has always been apart of Aizen's team.

The current Filler arc features characters especially drawn by Kubo. The zanpaktu/human carry sword and shikai exactly the same as their shinigami counter part. All except for Sasakibe. His has a rapier while his human/zanpaktu carries a pike. Kubo could be hinting to Sasakibe true self.;)

Me too. That last episode in the filler arc was hilarious. Gonryumaru feels unnoticed because his owner doesn't stand out from the other lieutenants. That was a classic. I hope we see something along these lines in the manga, with Sasakibe struggling with his zanpakuto, who just wants to be noticed.

Chojiro is currently outside of the Barrier. He's the one who keeps watch for anything that can interfere with the battle.

The proof i talk about is that in the databook entry, it talks about how he enjoyed the fashion and "Style" of the Western culture. And thus fashions his own outfit to "resemble" it. How could he enjoy and build something to "look" like the style if he could not see it?

While perhaps we coudl come up with some reason how he "sees" it by touch or reiatsu or something, this simple fact combined with the filler arc seeing of his pupils as well as omake (where you see him "seeing" the western people through a window), makes it pretty definitive that he is not blind.

I kinda hoped he would be though, sine he is my favorite character. He is always by Yamamoto's side and is around the Cpts more than the other Lt's in big situations.

I do not like that he is not given much dilaog nor is talked about much, but you cant say he doesnt get much screentime. He tends to be in a lot of anime episodes and while he doesnt talk, that doesnt seem to be his style anyways, which it seems bothers his Zanpaktou in the filler arc.

I like him for his loyalty and seemingly unwavering sense of duty to the CC.
I do think more and more he has a very high Kido level and his zanpaktou probably doesnt like that either. When it was shown that he let the Vizards in I thought it was telling of how important he was and the level of respect and trust Yamamoto has in him, as well as how smart Chojiro was since he did not "have" to let them in. It does make sense that he may be outside the barrier making sure no on interferes, though i was really hoping to see him throw down a little, but with the fraccion and espada all gone, i think the best we have for a chance at seeing Chojiro do something in this arc is a martyr like move to save Yamamoto from a killing strike by Aizen or something. Maybe a high level Kido spell. I originally thought he may be the one to show up and heal Hiyori out of nowhere, but it looks like that is what Unohana will probably end up doing when her and Ichigo arrives.

Nah, that's too unrealistic. Chojiro is a good guy. A good guy we haven't seen much of, but good nonetheless. He's the one who is outside of the barrier making sure no one tries to interfere. Anybody that can put Soul Society at a disadvantage of course. Which is why we aren't seeing him right now. It's not like he can be a greater help fighting The Espada or Aizen anyway.
