Now your sentence was the most vague answer on this board so far. It's what is called a "blanket statement", hoping that your answer would ultimately cover everything. BUT IT FAILED MISERABLY.
1) You didn't even answer correctly about Priscilla's action on Teresa.
2) You are just answering Isley's presence as the general behind it all. As explained....NO. This is bigger than Mr. Metrosexual. The entire series is NOT going to rest on isley as the villain.
There are only 2 antagonists worth following: The ORG and Priscilla. Without Priscilla, Isley is just Riful, a lruking non-factor. It is and always will be Priscilla who will be the only reason why Isley suddenly developed balls. And the original reason why Isley marched South was for Priscilla.
In addendum, Isley wouldn't even have "stayed put" as you say...he had amassed an army, and what do you think you should do with an army freezing in the cold? Use them, obviously!

And yeah, true, you can't explain a mad woman's actions. And i GUESS instead of picking on her about how she has all power but is dopey and crazy, we should be greatful, like in the anime, if she didn't stay crazy when she awakened and had a normal awakened being's head, she might of lead to the early destruction of the ORG, when you think about, or atleast she'd destroy like the entire north. Luckily before she could Isley came attacking her, and for some reason she turned back to her crazy, child-minded self.

Well, Supreme has a point.
Isley isn't smart enough to pull the strings here. The reason why he stupidly marched his army to the South was because of Priscilla. Priscilla is THE CATALYST for the events that led to Isley's decision.
If there were no Priscilla in the picture, he still would;ve done the same idiotic thing. He had an army, and of course, you use that army. Why would you stay with an army in the freezing cold and not use them?
And the analogy still rings true. You've got 2 powerful sides, Isley and Riful. They're both egotistical maniacs. One of them has GOT TO MOVE THE MOVE AGAINST THE OTHER. There can only be ONE SUPERPOWER.

i agree with prezzo and supremecommander. i was thinking outside the box and could see that mac's arguments are flawed. don't flame me, this is just my opinion.
at first, i thought priscilla is crazy and her "mad woman's actions' are logical. but, i can see what prezzo and supreme are saying that yes, priscilla is the main character that led to a series of events that eventually got the series rolling and not easley. if easley didn't have priscilla, he still would've done the stupid thing ...march his army unto the south.
but in addition, isley didn't start the conflict which is good, but absurd. it is a blanket statement.
the conflict between the abyssals...i can see that, but what supreme and hollywood are also saying is that 2 powerhouses cannot co-exist together...they have to fight it out.
even if you add 4 more abyssals..they are not going to just "keep quiet". if i was all powerful and know in my mind that im more powerful than the next guy, why should i keep quiet? abyssals are just leaders with an appetite to fight.
priscilla:
priscilla is not a crazy person or a "mad woman". even in her state, she could take out riful easily, and it showed in chapter 72.
she is the villain behind the conflicts, aside from the org, and that cannot be taken lightly, crazy or not.

We can have a discussion throwing flames and fireballs at Raki and his weaknesses as compared to Deneve's hair story. I think we won't have much to say about Deneve and her short hair anyway.

I'm thinking....why did Isley picked the North in the first place? It's so freaking cold and the South seemed much more pleasant to me. He should have plenty of territorial options considering male claymores were of the front few generations.

i think isley chose the north because of terrain, I would imagine AB's would have an easier time fighting in the snow and on the mountainous terrain. also the lack of a lot of people (maybe?), so that the Org would just ignore them up there.

PS: Short skirts are a requirement in most manga provided they, firstly, have skirts in that series. It's weird to find Clare and gang wearing outfits that resemble modern skirts in the doujinshis.

It's funny though because you come up with all kinds of ideas and then when it comes to it, the way you thought it was gonna turn out is wrong and a totally unexpected character shows up. That might happen, but because we've been over any character possible it might be i guess the author's got no way of shocking us, lol. Coz the most unexpected character really would be irene. Question though, how is hs eeven supposed to stay alive 7 years with no arms. I mean, even claymores can only survive a certain amount of time without any nutrition or food to keep em going. How she supposed to get food with no hands.

But I agree that there should be more characters being introduced in the upcoming chapters. IF there were any male characters, anything is an improvement OVER RAKI! Isley, on the other hand, looks like a transvestite, and he doesn't scare me as a villain UNLESS he transforms to his centaur Abyssal form...then we're talking. On Duff, he's the best male character in the series. If only he didn't act stupid. Rigald is cool, but after he got a beatdown from BOTH Pris and Isley, I lost respect for him. Overall...being a guy in Claymore sucks.

i mean, look at the awakened beings..btw they talk, they're talking like 4th graders, and they used to be male claymores. i'm not an isley fan either, not because of the previous discussions (and your bad influence prezzo) but because his appearance doesn't exactly scare the living hell out of me, and you're right, only when he's changed to his horse and arrow form, then yeah, i don't want to mess with him.

Well, I actually forgot about the ORG, and correct, they are dudes. They have the resources to make Claymores and are devious enough to set the pieces in motion. Alright, there's hope for guys! But it's Rubel, and I dont think you could take him as a guy. lol
Anything is an improvement over Raki.
And yes, you are drowsy and sleepy to think that Isley is "man" enough. When I first read Claymore, I thought Isley was a girl.

Not only that, like psycho said in addition, you have to be an idiot ex-male claymore judging by the conversations of the AB's.
Now look at how the Abyssals converse like Riful and Isley: classy, cool demeanor and very confident. Your average AB's are "ROOOWRR" or "hehe, good one Gantz" or "what the hell, we had fun at Pieta right boys?"
On Duff, he rocks. Just didn't like his Forest Gump persona. Rigaldo would've gone down as one of the greatest male villains, if not for the fact that he got thrashed by Priscilla easily and Clare in an emotional state. I'll always remember the guy for killing 3 major Claymores in 10 seconds (Flora, Veronica and Undine).

Now that is something! The chapter 64 (or 65) didn't show Rafaela die and become an abyssal, but showed her backbreaking/killing her sister. Strange. So she really is dead. Wow. She should've had her own extra scene then, maybe in her final days as an abyssal. And I thought I learned everything so far.

But on a different topic now. Say, if Clarice is always by Miata's side d'you think that they'll boost Miata's rank? And if so, will they make her #1, coz i thought Alicia would always stay at #1. Or d'you think they'll boost her rank up anyway, to #1 and they'll make Alicia/Beth a special rank just for them coz they can equal the abyssal ones? And if so, that means they'll also have to fill in #2 and #4 position. Or should i say #3 coz we all know that Audrey isn't really deserving of the #3. And will this make Miata the youngest #1?

i think miata will awaken very soon, because we all know what happens to the crazies. she'll probably keep clarice for comic relief or something...

There can only be ONE #1, that's Alicia. Your question is just because Miata has an "assistant", she should be # 1? And that they should kick out Audrey because she's a weak # 3?
That's reasonable but won't happen. First, Miata is still mentally unstable. Miata has to think straight WITHOUT THE USE of Clarice in order to even be CONSIDERED anything above # 4.
2) The ORg already titled (and the databook as well) A/B the most "powerful # 1in history", but NOt the greatest. Unlike A/B who follows orders w/o hesitation, Miata still has to "process" the order.
The summary? Unless Miata thinks for herself in a SANE manner OR does something extraordinary like KILL Riful or Isley, no way is she jumping over Audrey for the top spot.

I do agree that Audrey is probably the worst top 5 Claymore in history with that sorry a** showing with Riful. I mean, she literally went in her pants. At least have the decency to fight and spit or claw at Riful in your final moments. She just sullied the #3 ranking with that lame act.
BUT I do agree with pycho and hollywood, that Miata CANNOT get to number 1 because of Audrey and Clarice's asistance. Alicia and Beth are entrenched in the top 2 spots with their power. They also follow the ORG obediently.

Captain hit the spot. The databook is like the book of official records of the organisation. Hence, I'm having problem putting it in english words as I'm not thought how to write a report in English. So I adopted a 3rd person point of view while putting stuff into English.

She's younger than Riful was, but like Irene says, Claymores don't age, they just mature. So will she ever grow up? I mean maybe if she actually grows up to her teengae years maybe she'll get out of her crazy mother faze...but then she'll go into like crazy ophelia stage huh.
Oh and y'know how the claymore world is the world of ours that might of been thousands of years ago if yoma existed. Well then imagine how a modern claymore world mgiht be like. Like just like our world right now but with yoma in it. And with like modern claymores that arn't restricted to just all the same armour and wepons! And high ranking claymores would be like underworld celebrities!
i think modern humanity would at least stand a fighting chance vs yoma. I would guess that 8-10 humans with guns would be able to take down a yoma. Not to mention what the modern military would be capable of.

So, they could eat the wife of a general and then by pretending to be the wife eat trhe general and then destroy the milartary from the inside out. And the fact that they take on the form of normal people, only claymores would be able to see past it. And besides, in a modern version, it'd probably be the government themselves you create the claymores, as you've seen in tones of animeas and manga how there can be these monsters and the governemnt use of knds of experiments to kill them.
But anyway, i'm asking if she's gonna grow up, i'm asking if she can grow up...?
as i've seen from the manga the yomas blood stays the same (i think) so with moder science a yoma detection test would be childs play.
also im sure if they have the means the military will create claymore not to defeat yoma but to wage war on each other.
i dont think miata can grow up, i don't know why though.

You got that right. Audrey is hot, but she fights like like my gal's mother. Rachel talks a lot of smack, but in the end, she's no better than her mouth. Nina is a too much of a hot head but got her rear handed to her at Pieta.
Summary? The new generation wreaks. There'd better be a hidden gem like a Miata or Alicia/Beth in this new group that's cool. The more this generation sucks, they make the first and old generation look like gods.

Hollywood, that "yoma dogs" idea of yours is brilliant. I have never thought of it like that. I can also see A different Claymore that uses pets as her attack technique and uses the sword as the finishing move.
Psychotic's BLIND Claymore is also great. Might as well push the envelope and create characters that are new and original. I thought Deneve's 2 sword persona is the last of the great warrior attach techniques but that "yoma dogs" idea is just so crazy, but it actually makes sense in a funny way.

I like idea number 2 more than number 1 as I'm a fan of certain animals. I'm thinking instead of using dogs (neh dogs are lousy), they should use lions instead. Provided the lion is tame and won't eat up claymores.

Claymores don't age once their transformation/graduation is complete BUT they do mature, which is different from aging. Now seeing the example of Riful, the loli Abyssal who was the youngest and also THE FIRST Claymore to succumb to Awakening, I really have my doubts that "getting older" is something Miata can do.

hollywood explained it to a point. the maturing process is correct as irene stated it. they dont age after graduation, but that riful explanation is in conflict to the "aging" process because riful is still in her loli body but her mind is like an adult's. so miata will stay as is and wont age anymore. she'll mature as time goes by but not in a sane way based on what we see.
so they simply stop them from aging after graduation because its no longer required for them to mature physically?

It's true that she's the youngest but i didn't know she was the first. Coz all the males of the 1st class of claymores awakened first, and then when the first class of females came along, then she was #1 and awakened. So she's not the first, but rather the first FEMALE to awaken. But i just wanted to point that out.
And yeah, she was a kid, and a kid with that sort of power would definatly wanna go wild and go past her limit. I mean if you were like 12 years old and you had such awesome power, you'd wanna use them to the max, no?

usually if you are talking about 1 person you would use warrior, if you're talking about many people or referring to a group as a whole it would be warriors.

It varies by usage and it's very tricky especially with kanji. It's MOSTLY warrior(s) so far except for the flowchart pages where it is warrioR most of the time.

Pages? A lot. The flowcharts are confusing as hell. The difference between the Awakened Beings compared to Claymores and Abyssals is very distinct. I can translate the literature, no prob, it's the flowcharts that's giving me a headache.
flowcharts? sounds tricky, i would probably end up giving in halfway through XD.

I did a flowchart page called "List of Transformation Process" which highlights a detailed "flow' from human to Claymore to yoma to Awakened beings to Abyssals, and a bonus chart within the chart which separates male and females. It was easier doing my Advanced Accounting assignments, if you know what I mean.

i was confused about cap's question (the first one). we could pick teresa right? but no alicia-beth. with the 5 # 1's if they fought in their claymore forms i would still have to say miata...but then she's not a #1.
so i'll have to go with riful. she uses her brain, quick to adapt to the situation and mostly cool under pressure. i wish we could find out more about isley's past aside from looking like a transvestite.
if teresa was involved, teresa would definitely beat all them all. she is indeed, the strongest # 1 in history without even using her yoki and that alicia, even with her ppoints and stats which is monstrous, i still pick teresa for her intelligence and wit.

Raphaela vs Teresa, I'm going with Teresa because she's known and was called more than twice "a monster" in the manga. Alicia, Priscilla or Riful haven't been called that.
But Raphaela can and will hold her own against Isley and Riful if awakened. But as Claymores, Raphaela seems intelligent enough to hold her own.

For me that term is real confusing as it's appearing everywhere in Book I as Book I appears to be everything on the organisation and the warriors. (Some are real obvious as they put in the tachi after the word warrior) But Im having a headache with the others as it somethimes don't make sense when I treat the word warrior as an individual person and it sometimes don't make sense when I treat it as a group of warriors. [OMG, I don't even know whether my this paragraph makes sense]
I guess I will just translate first and then edit and type later.

Well, the majority here think that Raki wouldn't do much good except for psychotic's theory that a human Raki with Pris and Isley would just serve as the human connection between the Abyssals and humans (or walking cheeseburgers). Other than that, there's no use for him.
Rubel, who keeps popping up in different events of the series shows that the guy is either immortal or yoma like. I'm more interested in seeing more of Rimuto...the head of the ORG.

As usual, I predict Clarice will be useless to a point but I should be surprised that her fighting abilities improve when she and Miata were fighting those AB's . If you look at Miata, her hair is longer than Irene's and it usually covers her eyes, which makes you wonder why her hair is all over the place when she fights.

LOl you guys noticed that as well...Miata and Clarice are my new favorite couple of the new generation. I don;t know about the hair getting LONGER when Miata is busy killing yomas but she's got the same length when those 2 first met. Those 2 are a big improvement over those losers Audrey and Rachel, but Audrey is Galatea-like in looks. Then she peed in her pants so that was a turn off. So im sticking with M and C.

That was a major turn off for me too. Audrey does look like a combo of Irene and Gal, which is really good but that sorry excuse at Riful? maybe the yoma are getting weaker, which might have an adverse effect on the recruits.

Maybe I have under-estimated her but I agree with you that she has the biggest potential since she's way below and those way below usually have much more room for improvement.
Clarice gives me the impression that she might get herself killed by Yomas anytime if she's alone. She can't even perform a deadly strike and she got her sword stuck in a trunk. That's the most silly way to die - sword stuck in tree, no weapon, murdered by Yomas.

I think its possible to grow back your hair using Yoma powers. If they can regrow a hand, super heal their wounds etc, hair growing should not be that difficult. Furthermore, Clare managed to manipulate her vocal lengths to make herself sound more deep like a guy when she was in town. If claymores can manipulate even their inner organs, Im sure a hair extension task would be easy for them.

Your katakana is weak? My hiragana is pathetic. So we're even. I am almost sure it;s the currency because in databook 3, that word has never even come...not even once. I am 80/20 on it but the other 20% is that it's either a person or insititution like a bank.

Thats why my "back on topic" post was meant to literally go back on topic like I tried at least. As I CLEARLY stated that whatever avatar you use is cool with me and that I was merely stating an opinion (if anyone actually read my original post clearly, and I have not edited it at all so you can still do so). And yes, I actually quite like the system in which people change avatars every week accordingly to the claymore of the week and find it quite refined. Thats why my "back on topic" post was meant to literally go back on topic like I tried at least. As I CLEARLY stated that whatever avatar you use is cool with me and that I was merely stating an opinion (if anyone actually read my original post clearly, and I have not edited it at all so you can still do so). And yes, I actually quite like the system in which people change avatars every week accordingly to the claymore of the week and find it quite refined. As my post wasn't meant to directly "attack" everone who had a "claymore" avatar. It was a far more general statement that seemed to have been misunderstood to an excruciating degree. One more thing directed towards Hollywoodlou; as for what you said about me questioning your gender, I SPECIFICALLY mentioned your name in my post and how it didn't bother me what avatar/sig you or Hynavian or anyone else uses whatsoever. Agreed, *phew*... as pleasant as Raki being killed sounds, it is likly never to happen due to the fact that he's an "important" character (:P not really) What if the mystery claymore in the town is Raki?!? Now wouldn't that be worth the 4 month wait... The scan is supposed to come out sometime today right?

I'll be tapping unto my Jap server within 2 hours and get the manga raw within that time frame. Its the same server where I got my Claymore and other Jap anime raws before they get subbed. Both the Indonesian and Jap servers are on the same network. Besides, I already saw the first page 30 minutes ago but DL'ing is hard right now due to traffic.
