Ah sorry about the mistake with the names, but she is there as well so I suppose that does have some worth.

Maybe Akira will be a hand to hand fighter, we do have Ku Fei and Kotaro so I suppose that might be unlikely if she uses magic. As per her pactio, if its made, I think she might get something relatively unusual such as a creature like Chisame's or something else that fits her personality/actions.

back on topic, How many chapters do you think it will be before the gang is back together,
we waited about 25 chapters after vs Chao to get some real action, and after a small taste, it looks like there is going to be another long wait, since unless, Ken actually has a real battle between the White wing and a monster, or some opponent turns up in the magical world, now that Fate, Tsukuyomi, the Gravity Mage, and the Demon have left Mundus Magicus, there is really no-one to fight.

How many chapters before we see Negi and the gang all together again? Well, we've seen that it starts in chapter 189 with Negi lost, then in #190 Negi and Chamaru begin their search for next person. In #191 - almost the whole chapter was focused on Chisame...

So I'm guessing (a wild guess) that each chapter might be for each character, and that there are at least 7 pactio girls plus the other normal girls. I think we may be looking at at least 10 chapters or 12 (?) before we see them together. Then I'm thinking they will need more training, or something. Yup, at least 20 more before we see something major battle or whatever.

Argh - why does it have to be 18/19 pages each chapter??! Why not 30 pages...at least it'd make each week bearable for me, lol :p

Hm, Makie(1) and Ako(2) for me. I can see him making a pactio with Chacha but right now I KNOW Ako has a relation with him so she just needs courage to fight on his team and Makie simply because she was also caught in this and as we know, will probably try to immediatly when she finds out about pactio.

I don't even know if the ghost girl could come, if so they'd have to make it to where she has her spiritual body just come in contact with his.

I'm back full time your and its for the 6th thread well I vote for makie thats +2 I like her the most to have a pactio for future preference and maybe asakura well she know negi has magic for long time but uptill now no pactio for her she is quiete a normal person can't defend herself is she is alone now in the magic world and for the gap between negi find others I can say about 2 chapters for next one but that totally depends on the place and how far it is may differ depend on the situation who do you think will be the last one on the 900+ km place I bet its asuna for thrill the last person to find

Sure, she's a good marksman, but she lacks experience with the magical world, and she doesn't have enough of a close relationship with Negi to form a pactio, she has only really had contact during his lessons.

yeh I agree with kaverine being a girl with high accuracy hit is good she could aim on enemy far away but she is still a bit low in knowledge about the magic world unlike asakura she is with the ero boy for long time and know many secrets about him better than yuuna their relationship is much more know to others rather than a student and teacher relationship

Its not really that, but Negi and her barely know one another, and normally the pactio would be done for someone that you're friends with or more commonly a lover so I wouldn't say someone else won't get to him first.

My vote back there was for Ako, sorry for being late getting to this.

But yeah, I said that about Sayo because a. I'm not sure if she can leave the school(I'm still half-asleep:P) and b. I was thinking that maybe her spiritual body had to come into contact with his, however they would do that, probably via him using magic.

hmm well I wish makie and yuuna also can have pactio with negi and also ako and maybe iinchou about the others I don't think that a whole class of partners is good its to much even for that 10 year old brat. The ero brat should have only a small party havign a huge party have its own disadvantage specially if the enemy is strong you need to protect the weak and it only leads to hindrance in battle. A small party is enough in my opinion he already have a huge party much bigger than the thousand master himself and not all are strong fighters maybe a good support but still its hard to move protecting more people like now Negi is haveing hard time dealing with the scattered party

As for being noobs at magic, Negi said they were ready to learn Sagitta Magica, but since we dindn't see any detail of their training regimen, we don't know how far they have progressed with that.

actually, it's because sagitta is latin for archer.
however, it's often been mis-translated in the manga as arrow.

did you know the Magi, were actually a tribe that were a part of the Medean Empire. They were responsible for various mystical duties, such as prophecy and divination. Magister is a latinised version of Magi. Mage is a shortening.

Firstly, barriers are not foolproof, a powerful enough spell could penetrate, as well some spells are "barrier-breakers" like the stone spear that impaled Evangeline in Kyoto.

It's extremely rare for an unintelligent monster to be resistant to both physical attacks and magic, it's usually one or the other.

Who thinks Evangeline has a thing for RPGs?
She always referred to herself as a next-to-last boss character, and to various RPG terms like the Deus Ex Machina save.
(Deus Ex Machina means God of the Machine, and refers to when an overwhelming outside force intervenes, like where Negi is on the verge of defeat and Evangeline shows up just in time to save his hide.

next wednesday? dang 2 weeks until negima releases...this is a series I am supporting by buying the Del Rey Releases (which happens to be good IMO) I wonder how much longer this series is going to be...I hope it ends around 25 volumes since each new volume is costing me *gasp* 11 bones per book...lol

Yeah, well here in Australia, it's $19.95 for the UK published Tanoshimi addition (identical to Del Rey, just different distributors) or $22.95 for the Del Rey volumes, but I wouldn't think the price is too steep, after all, the new ones, are only being released, one per quarter, volume 15 came out in August, and the next will not come out until December.

Anyway, I don't care how long the series is, as long as it has a satisfactory conclusion, and it doesn't get repetetive.
So far, even hitting volume 21 in the number of chapters, Ken has done an amazing job of keeping the action original, and fresh, it just makes me keep coming back for more.

Negima is like drugs, once hooked, you just can't stop!

Well, sometimes they release a chapter once a week, sometimes up to 2-3 weeks. People who do the translated versions are also human beings - they do have a life outside of that type of work. Many translators do it by voluntary willingly for the otaku fans, ya know?

I too also wait for the next chapter - like you others here. But I don't mind waiting at all, because it give me something to find a new manga story I haven't seen before. I just had finished the 109 chapters of "One Piece" , then I find "Historie" quite interesting to read - still more to finish. So, I'm not worrying much. This forum have plenty to offer!

But...I do want to know what the heck Chisame is saying to Chruama in the raw #192, LOL!! :P

and I like the looks of setsuna
but isn't that a little bit to much for a party thats enemy is one usually in RPG's
a party contains only of maximum of 3 rarely 4 because it will be powerful
and hard to control and it will make the enemy lot easier
but if the battle is 6 vs 50+ maybe its good but it will be hard for the
computer to supervised that many enemy

Heh, I'm glad Kotaru gave Negi that energy boost he always gets every now and then, thus stoppping him from worrying. But the magic absorbtion from Konoka's spell was pretty interesting anyway.

About the game, he doesn't need to make more enemies, as many turnbased rpgs with or without a large party at once tend just make really strong enemies instead. hurray. i so happy. the new chapter finally came out. it makes it even better since they found kotoro which makes me twice as happy. I was hoping for Yuna but it looks like my first prediction was right, we get to see those characters first who didn't have much action. Chisame is the newest pactio and the new Kaede-trained Kotaro was also introduced (and when was the last time we saw him fight? X.x).

So next would be either a "normal" person (Yuna! T.T) or someone else we haven't seen in action. What about Yue? All we have seen so far is her practising. That should work...

The portraits that I used are ripped from Negima! Private Lesson 2 for GBA, but I have not gotten far enough into the game to meet Ku Fei yet, so I haven't been able to rip her, Anya's portrait will have to be custom, as she is not in the GBA game at all.

also, Asuna's sprite still needs a few touchs, the gloves have frilly edges, and a white band, and she is supposed to be wearing a lacy collar, tied with a black ribbon, but it's still a WIP.

as for the party size, FF5 had 5 people, in it.

anyway, that dragon, is probably going to be a boss, and I am maybe going to have a split party system to switch between characters outside of battle, like FF6, after you get the last air ship, you can choose your party from about 18 different characters.
And I am also having a support system, each member of the White wing, that doesn't have battle magic, or martial arts, will have an ability, that can be used once per battle turn, with a cool-down time dependant on the one used, so you can't pick the same one every turn.

Chamo - Ermine Flash, blind all enemies for three turns, three turn cooldown
Yue - Orbis Sensualium Pictus, Reveal non-unique weakness, hp. one turn cooldown
Konoka - Flabellum Australe, Heal all damage to one PC, 8 turn cooldown
Haruna - Imperium Graphices, Deals damage to all enemies with a non-elemental attack in the form of golems.
Kazumi, Sayo, Nodoka and Chisame, I haven't decided yet, how their artifacts/skills could be used in an RPG.
mind reading isn't really going to help in a RPG battle, as the enemies, don't think, they just have a rudimentary AI.

The thing that Kotaro is talking about, idiocy, well, I think that he means, because, unlike Asuna, Negi is too smart for his own good, he overthinks everything, he is too wrapped up in the consequences, that he has a hard time focusing on the present, so in a fight, he is too worried about trying to protect the others that he cannot fight to his full capacity, when he was under the geas that Nodoka had unwittingly triggered by asking for a kiss, he fought exceedingly well, Setsuna didn't stand a chance, because he was fighting using pure instinct, without his morality getting in the way. Negi is too afraid of letting anybody get hurt, heck, he couldn't even finish off the demon who had turned his hometown's inhabitants to stone. If Negi became evil, he'd probably be strong enough to conquer the world, unless alot of mages ganged up against him.

ep1 - very condensed, introduction to potion, no explanations between scenes.
ep2 - flashback where Negi is the only person to recieve a diploma, without even a ceremony or anything, just an old fart, who looks at him, with a psycho grin, and winks.
cuts to gym class, some argument between, ummm... Asuna? and... Ayaka maybe or Eiko from high school? hard to tell.
then classroom, Ku Fei, and Chao beating each other up, Misa, Sakurako, and Madoka with pom-poms,
cut back to dodgeball, far camera shot, can't tell who is who.
Only two seem to actually come into contact with the ball.
then the nurse's office, with Takamichi, and Shizuna, and Ako? Shizuna serving milk to her, like she did with Negi last ep. is she trying to flirt with them, I can't understand the speech, but the body language, seems to suggest it.
the cheerleaders are saying "Go Go! Mahora!" over and over again,
Negi says something about dodgeball kudasai (please) and they run away, then three girls hiding behind books by the wall, Negi asks them, and thet run away, Nodoka has to be dragged. Chao is runnig a restaurante on a balcony in the gym. Satomi uses some sort of vacuum cannon and aims it at Mana, and Mana pulls out a massive handgun, it seems the producers decide to make it a one-class academy, thereby cutting costs of hiring extras, pffft! Cheapskates!
In the middle of the game Zazie grabs the ball and proceeds to cover it with a blanket, while the others gather around. It disappears, and when Negi asks where the ball is now, she runs off without a word, cut to another room and lo and behold! Evangeline gets her first spoken line, and Chachamaru says "E". Asuna and Ayaka are still throwing balls at each other, pulling them out of big bins, and the balls are bouncing all over the gym. Then stupid martial arts with back flipping spinning kicks. Asuna doesn't even do martial arts, and then they both catch a football between the outstretched palms of their hands, and crush it in between. Then Negi casts a spell in Japanese, with sfx in front of a black background, but it seems to make several girls lose their shorts and underwear, even though they are nowhere nearby, then it cuts to outside, where it seems Ayaka is telling something about the past between herself and Asuna, it seems that they have completely left the manga behind

she is skillful to learn it fast I think you should give her some basic
sagita magica and flans vente for magic or just basic magic because
as the manga progress we see how talented is she
and chamo's blind is to much for 3 turns in ff10 the skill that cast
darkness to enemy by wakka it has chance to miss but if hit 3 turns
blind but with darkbuster a sure hit blind its only 1 turn blind

PLSS make the enemy stronger and more challenging
I like challenging games and I think many people will agree
and having many people battling in the same time even the enemy
is strong it will be useless many people will intend to level up
to make the party stronger and with 5 people attacking the
enemy it will not last long

good news. i found a raw chapter of negima 193. i found i shocking surprise but i not sure since it raw and i cant read japanese. anyway click the spoiler tag if you want. but i might have a few probs trying to set it up

the find a town but they discover that negi and group has a bount on their head cause it show that they were the ones that attack the magic city. they sneak into a bar in age decieving pill and discover another student snuck in with makie and group and it turns out to be natsumi (the one that has to pretend that she kotaro sister)

I knew something like that would happen, after all, nobody outside the area knew what was happening, and the only witnesses are Negi and his friends, and they have disappeared, which makes it seem like they just ran away after blowing up the place, Fate was in disguise, so noone knows he was ever there.

As for Yue in my game, she has not had any proper combat training, even if she knows sagitta magica, I am having her as one of my support characters, so she can be used to attack every now and again, but is not actually attackable, she stays in the rear.

but I am still stuck for how Nodoka, Kazumi, Sayo and Chisame can be used. also Anya, I don't know what spells she knows, I have to wait and see.

nobody has posted on my RP thread in ages, and I can't do anymore until somebody else does something, otherwise it might as well just be an online novel, as the point of RPing is for more than one person to have a say in the direction of the story.

anyways, I have done some preliminary sketches for my main villains:
The Tribune of Endless Night.
Nightshade wears a mantle with hood that shadows the top of her face, and carries a staff with retractable scythe blade, called darkrazor.
she uses dark and gravity magic.
Jherek Cromwell uses fire and dark magic, is trained in Shinmei ryu sword techniques, though he is not an officially recognized member of the school, he wears circular glasses, and has long blonde hair. he is of medium build. he also is able to use low-level Onmyou spells and demon binding rituals.
The third leader, the Erzherzog (Archduke), is going to be depicted as a pair of eyes and horns dimly outline in a shadowy background with clawed arms out to the sides with the other two in the front.
The organization also contains various mages, warrior-types and petty thugs, as well as a group of assassins known as the darknives even though they don't all use knives. when done, I'll post it so you can all gaze in awe of my artistic prowess. :D

But NO, this isn't porno, it's shounen series aimed for teenagers, unless you're under 13 of course...., but since when people give a damn about age restriction anymore over internet nowadays? :D, as long as it's not H-genre (18+), OM pretty much host any manga.

FYI, try checking out Keroro Gunso, it's aimed for children, but you'll be amazed by the amount of fanservices (ecchi), apparently, fanservice nowadays aren't aimed only at adult anymore, but even children and teenagers (they should be thankful for that though :D ).

Akamatsu uses an ungodly amount of fan service in his work, it's practically a trademark for him. But as far his style goes, he tends to use ecchi content more for humor (and profit!) than anything else. He doesn't do any graphic depictions of nipples or lower areas, and while there is plenty of 'oops, I accidentally touched that girl's breast", again it's usually used humorously, and never graphically depicts any kind of sexual interaction.

Compared to several other shonen romance titles, where I've seen some stuff bordering on pure H, Akamatsu's comes off playful, and even cute. Fan service in an Akamatsu work is amusing, and does have it's ecchi side, but I think it doesn't come off as too sexual or offensive. Not to mention his plot never relies heavily on ecchi content to sell.

Negima is perfectly capable of moving along story-wise without the fan service; strong characterization, extremely clean art and impelling action see to that.

...but an Akamtsu page without a panty shot just seems...wrong ^___^

Is it just me, or does it seem that Negi can't go through a single crisis without repeating the same "it's all my fault, 'coz I'm not strong enough!" line every time.
He really needs to get some therapy, he seems to have very low self-esteem, as well as the fact that he seems to forget, that several of the others are more capable of fending for themselves than he is himself. The story seems to be taking a darker turn.
It seems as though Megalo Mesembria's portal was not the only one affected.
A: it's a chain reaction, feedback from the Megalo Mesmbria Gatestone's demise has affected the others, or
B: Fate has been very busy.

I think Negi will be trying to keep it a secret so that Ako's heart doesn't get broken. However, by the fact that he already said that they are his students, means he kind of gave it away, if they are observant, but then, all the magic stuff that has happened in the past that they've somehow manageed time and again to not notice, or explain away with a mundane, yet completely stupid explanation hint: Negi: "Its CGI!"

Well, the ch 194 come out yesterday - finally can read it today - yay! Definely the plot is getting better and better about Negi and the group trying to gather back all the members together. This chapter is quite a surprise with few more people found. Should be interesting when Ako start to realize that she's in a real magic world and not a dream...which led to me having to wait patiently for next ch 195!!

When is Ken gonna do more than the 18 pages?? LOL!!

the factors/motives/triggers that initiated the conflicts
the sides that took part
what side Nagi was on
how long the war lasted, a week? a month? or a year?
HOW did Nagi stop the war.

also, it looks like Nagi has not always left a good impression on people who've met him, Takamichi, and Eishun and his friends have gotten to know him, and Evangeline is spiteful when she describes him, though you can tell how she really feels.
but the bartender called him an idiot. the flashbacks give him the appearance of being rather immature, and not very smart.

I just thought of fate being an apprentice of nagi because of the apprentice ring.

their = indication of ownership, ie this is their house.
they're = short for they are, ie they're living in that house
there = a location or indication of an object. ie there is a connection.

sorry, but I see incorrect use of words all the time, even I do it myself sometimes, but I always try to check my own spelling, because I find it kind of annoying.

I think it's possible that Fate might have at one point been an apprentice, but I doubt it. It is unlikely that Nagi would take an apprentice, since he couldn't even finish magic school, I don't think he is the type to spend time trying to teach someone else, especially when his own repertoire of magic is so small.


It seems that they got the gate working again, and Takamichi and Mana Tatsumiya have come to help, though it remains to be seen what they will actually do, whether they will try to find Negi's group, or do something else. Donet McGuiness should have vouched for Negi's innocence, though.

Actually, they're not slaves, exactly, but "Indentured Servants"
Indentured means that they owe a debt, and they must work to pay off the debt, and once the debt is paid in full, they are free to go. However, I guess the magic collars are used to make sure that they don't run off.
Sometimes thought the debtors do not hold to the contract, and keep the person from leaving, even when the debt has been paid, then they really are slaves.

Those two poor saps, they don't have any clue what they've gotten themselves into, the big guy's only seen a tiny fraction of Negi's power, and Kotaro is a match for Negi, at least in melee combat.

I want to see what Asuna and Setsuna etc. are doing, as well, I wonder how far away they are, and if they have realised that they are wanted "criminals".

It's almost impossible for people like Kaede, Ku, Asuna, and Setsuna to be captured and forced to be slaves or indentured servants, they're far too strong to be capture by cheap tricks such as that. At least that's what i think.

it has to do with taoist magic and esoteric buddhism, have you ever read "Ghost Hunt" it has a lot of information about this stuff, in the manga.

I finally got around to completing Setsuna's new outfit, even though, after re-reading the tournament arc, I realise that she wore it during the tournament. next, I think I shall concentrate on making attack animations for Asuna, Setsuna, and Kotaro.
