It is 1405, and a strange race is slowly proliferating the continent of Xylitol.
Two or three hundred years ago, the same exact problem reached Xylitol. The Christians destroyed all of the people cursed with these powers. Except for one – a thirteen-year-old girl, who escaped death by hiding in a cellar during the destruction, scavenging what little food she could. She emerged from the cellar three years later, highly underfed and sick. Even after being hospitalised for a long while, the girl was still never one hundred percent healthy, always walking weakly and falling asleep unpredictably. In her twenties, she met a wealthy, Christian man. He had grown up to loathe people like her, and so she kept her “powers” a secret. Two children came from her womb; she died shortly after the second one was born. The firstborn child grew normally, and her father loved and cherished her as if she was a million dollars.
The younger one was not as lucky. Resembling his mother with pale, sallow skin, liquid brown eyes, and brown hair so dark it looked black, he was cursed with the same flaw as her, and often described it this way. As soon as his powers began to show, his father killed him, disgusted with the monstrosity he had created, and satisfied that it was gone. He and his daughter lived on peacefully, no signs of the power showing in the girl. However, the girl had acquired the gene, just not to the same extreme as the boy. As a result, the gene was passed along harmlessly until thirty-seven years ago, when it made a booming reappearance.
The gene? Magic. The power of telekinesis and either mind control, telepathy, mind reading, or visions. Murder and torture in the worst way. The name of this race? The Flawed. They’re just a small group of people, but don’t feel reassured. They all feel compelled to destroy things; the more they do, the more powerful they become. There’s a catch to this, though – The Flawed, technically, are humans. They contain human cells, and have human needs. They tire out eventually. Due to poor living conditions for them, their bodies are neglected. Don’t think that they could just use magic to wreak havoc, and never tire. In order to get the strength and energy they need to live, they need to rely on the strength that is already theirs, their wits, and technology.
The Christians are ready. They’re prepared to kill. In order to live peacefully, without constantly looking behind your back to make sure no one has a knife raised in your honour, they must be eliminated.
And only The Flawed can do it.

Hints & Commandments:
-Here's the Spoiler for Kohlberg's Scale of Morality. ._.
Stage 1- punishment. What is "bad" is what gets you punished.
Stage 2- naive reward. What is "good" is what gets you rewarded.
Stage 3- Social norms. Your actions are based on the approval of others. Conformity.
Stage 4- Authority. Right and wrong is determined by laws.
Stage 5- Social Contract. You accept the laws, but realize they are flawed.
Stage 6- You realize that the laws are flawed, and you rebel to change them.
Depending on which Morality stage you're at, it may be harder to obtain energy.
-The age you realize that you are one of the flawed is thirteen.
-You can die if you lose enough energy. Destruction is food to us.
-You can't be invincible. Just die. >_>
-We need humans AND Flawed.
-Post your profile in the OOC thread, please.
-Although the year is 1402, this is a different world we're in. There are guns, bombs and such; as well as swords and arrows.
-The Flawed ALL have Telekinesis. That means basically that you can move things with your mind.
-Another power of The Flawed is electokinesis. They can produce, and control electricity.
Thankyou, Useless~

Lucy Alice listened to her feet slap the concrete, and felt the heavy wind blow against her face that her tiny pigtails gently bounce. Her eyes were wide, the intensity of them make an eerie blue glow on the pavement below her. She wouldn't be late for this, and she would make it there without a fight. Was a promise Lucy had made herself, turning the corner into a dark ally way.
This was the type of place you would get hit over the head with a crowbar, most definitely, but why would Lucy be afraid of that? She wouldn't be.
She stopped short half way there, her electric eyes scraping the area for movement. If anyone saw her doing this, not only would she herself be dead, so would her comrades. "'Kay. No one." She whispered to herself after a good five minutes. Lucy stared at the pile of rubble, some wood and a garbage bin, her eyes gaining intensity and glow. She nodded upwards, and the bin was gently lifted into the city air. She nodded downwards, and it hit the ground three feet away from where it was. Lucy continued the pattern for the wood, then stepped forwards. A perfectly round hole in the ground was at her toes, missing a manhole cover. Lucy gracefully hopped in, catching herself on the rusty ladder inside it. Her eyes glowed again as she moved the items back into place above her, gently coughing as she breathed in the dust.
Lucy Alice felt a bit fatigued, she'd really only done a little today to give her energy. Why would she need so much power if all she would be using was her telekinesis? And although now her favorite pair of jeans were destroyed, -purposely mauled by a bear she'd found in the woods- Lucy needed nutrients.
She stepped off the tall, ladder, and began her way down an icy corridor. It was eerie underground. Water dripping from cracks in the ceilings, your very breath echoed in this place. You never knew if the sounds were from you, or from someone stalking around trying to kill you.
When Lucy Alice got into the main meeting room, a vast area with a simple wooden table in the middle, her steps ceased to multiply, and she was sure that no one was about to stab her or hit her with a crowbar. Now the only dilemma was waiting. The other three weren't here just yet, and so maybe they wouldn't come at all. "Meh." Lucy grunted, taking a seat at the table, hugging herself to stop from shivering in the dark room.

Pietro Kyrst sat in the building's sixth floor, staring down at the alley through the gaps in the shades. The lights had been extinguished within the room, making him very impossible to see from outside, but anyone who saw him would be terrified by the perverse look of glee on his face.
so, he thought. There's yet another one going in. "How many is that, Father Langstrom?"
Father Langstrom, who resembled numerous slabs of ham attached to a barrel the way limbs should be attached to the torso, flipped backwards through a small notebook. "'At'd be three, Father, so far. Three, in as many hours. Ah say we take 'em on now Father, there's eight of us here, and waitin' fer reinforcmen's just gunna invite more a them freaks to the party."
Pietro glanced sideways at Bartemus Langstrom. Even in light as dim as that from the small candle on the table, one could see the greasy man shine.
"Father Langstrom," he said, turning. His voice was quite and soft, like that of an angel. "I appreciate your input. As one of my men on this mission, your importance to the Church is not to be understated...which is exactly why it pains me to tell you, as High Inquisitor, to shut the hell up. Should your opinions prove absolutely vital to the success of this mission, I'd rather abandon it to a local policing force. Sir Enies!" he suddenly barked, turning away from the sweating priest to one of the men who was sitting in a nearby chair. Sir Enies immediately rose.
"Take four knights in plainclothes and stand by in that alley incognito. If ANY flawed try to enter the Underground, kill them quickly." Enies saluted, and rushed from the room. "And next time you plan on adding your two cents worth of brainpower to this operation, Father Langstrom, I'll see to it that you are investigated for witchbreed blood. UNDERSTOOD?"
"Yes Father. Forgive me."
Pietro turned away in disgust and raised a hand, dismissing the portly Priest.
If that idiot is actually thinking about forgiveness, he shouldn't be out here in the first place. The Inquisitors do not forgive. The Inquisitors cleanse.
For your sake, I hope you remember that Langstrom.

The tavern was lively that day. It was a bit of a festival after all, a very popular holiday. In the corner a very tall and slender man sat causing a ruckus while drinking his alcohol. The women quickly learned to avoid this guy because he was always flirting with them while drunk. Even the waitress refused to go near him unless she got a raise.
“AHAHAHA!! Waitress, another round over here!” He man shouted, his liveliness accentuated his skeleton-like physique, which was even more apparent because of the tight clothes he wore.
He had reason to celebrate, for he had just completed yet another high paying job. His client had wanted a certain member of the church taken care of. Markus had made sure that the job was finished as soon as possible, the target was a very high ranking official and his guards had been absent-minded for but a split second.
He began playing with his dagger when a soldier walked into the place. Markus hadn’t noticed the guy until he got close enough to state who he was.
“I am Johan, a messenger of the High Inquisitor Pietro. I bring you a message from his excellency.”
Markus had long put away his dagger and finished his brew. The drunken revelry that once glowed from his face had dimmed into a solemn countenance.
“You say that the High Inquisitor has a job for me? Answer me two things, who does he want killed and how much is he offering?”
The messenger stood rigidly, slightly frightened by the seasoned killer in front of him.
“The High Inquisitor Pietro asks that you aid in a Flawed hunt, and he is offering you 500 gold for the job.”
Markus began to laugh. “AHAHAHAHA, 500 gold you say? For a Flawed hunt?” Markus tried to calm himself down before continuing. “I tell you what my friend. I’ll help your High Inquisitor, but my price is 500 gold a head. You expect the best Flawed hunter in the land to sell his sword cheap?”
The messenger looked stunned. Markus could tell that the man was not able to negotiate the price, so he continued talking. “You know what. Just take me to the Inquisitor, I’ll talk to him about my price.”
The messenger was glued to his spot, so Markus stood up and dragged the frozen soldier out the door with him.

As always, Le Chat was prowling the back alleys and side streets. her network of informants had let her know that the Inquisition was about and looking for the Flawed. The woman called Le-Chat was intrigued and she went to see if there was anything she could do to hinder the arm of the church. Finding her way to a nearby rooftop she watched as men moved in the building across from her. There were too many to deal with, so she waited for the inevitable arrival of the Flawed so that she could engineer a way to warn them before whatever the trap would be was sprung.

Albert scowled. That damn so-called "High Inquisitor" was beginning to gain too much power within the Church. HE had always been the leading authority on the "flawed" freaks. Now this brat thought to usurp his position.
Straying back in forth, Albert thought many thoughts in his dusty, ancient, head. "A plan...I need a plan. They say I'm too old? They say I'm a crazy fool?! The say I've become weak!?! Well, I'll show them...I'll show the-" Albert sputtered. *Cough* *Cough*. Clutching his heart, he continued his speech to himself. "Too old? Oh-wait...I already said that. Too weak?! Oh..said that too...I think. Ah! I'LL SHOW THEM ALL! Bwahahahahah!!!"

Something's wrong, it seems, thought Pietro, staring down at the alley. His men were in place, well hidden from the street, and he knew he shouldn't be trying to rush things, but something was definitely off, and...
Wait...it's darker! Pietro whipped his head skywards. A woman's silhouette was in a crouching position against the moon.
"'Eryone, out! Home base 'been compromised!" Shouted the idiotic Langstrom. Chars squeaked and scrapped against the hardwood floor.
"Stop, you fools." Said Pietro, quietly but firmly. "We've yet to determine the spy's intentions as of yet, and there's no way they'd be able to hear us. So long as we remain calm, they won't grow suspicious, or think we know anything, so just calm down. Every two minutes, two men leave slowly, and proceed to base 2."
Langstrom, I swear to God I will end you some day.
Now, let's just wait for some flawed to show up. Can't be too much longer now.

Markus was leaning up against the wall in the alley. He managed to get his pay increased a little, but not by much. That guy, Pietro, wasn't everything he had expected him to be. Markus would have thought him to be even taller, although his standards were pretty high. He was brought up in a situation where such a trait would designate the leader. Wolf society was so much simpler than the human chian of command. Markus could not help but think that the High Inquisitor was dangerous. Until he had met the High Inquisitor, Markus had not once thought of a human as a terrifying creature. There was something sick and twisted hiding behind his cold visage. Markus tilted his head downward to hide his grimace.
Focusing back on the matter at hand, Markus thought that the spy on the rooftops would be a problem in the future. He really wanted to chase her down, but Pietro had given orders to not arouse suspicion. Markus snarled, getting impatient. He wanted to get paid and get as far away from the inquisitor as possible.
While deep in thought Markus was startled by a noise coming from somewhere he couldn't quite pinpoint. He drew his swords and got in his wolf-like fighting stance, he knew something was about to happen, he just didn't know when.

'Ah, I've been noticed.' Le Chat thought to herself, 'But no matter, they have no idea who I am, nor why I am here.' The black clad and cloaked figure worked her way down from her lofty vantage point. From the street she would be able to hear the approach of anyone and it left more avenues of escape than the high point she had used for reconnaisance. Dealing with the tools of the church and the governments were easy enough. They were predictable and easy to manipulate, so that if she disappeared then they would send someone to investigate and show more of their cards to her.
As she made it to the street level she stopped suddenly and melted into the shadow of a building where she raised the silken scarf she wore, over her face to conceal her identity from anyone who managed a glimpse and shielded herself from prying eyes while within the darkened corner. Someone was here though, not the church, they would not have moved so quickly. No, this was someone else, possibly someTHING else, and Le Chat could ill chance that they would be friendly. The thought of another hunter on the street forced her to draw her blades and keep their shining edges hidden under her black cloak. She would let the other move first.

Lucy looked around, her eyes tracing the edges of the damp cinder blocks. Her breath came from her in a mist, seeping from her mouth and crawling across the air.
Suddenly getting up, Lucy ignored the sound of her chair falling over and rattle an ear piercing echo through the tunnels. She swiftly retreated from the room, disturbed deeply by it's emptiness. Lucy hated how her foot steps would echo in this place, being even when she hadn't been walking, she could still hear her tracks. How was she supposed to protect herself from the humans?
"Where...are they...?" She muttered to herself, walking down a narrow passage. It was a tight spot, with a little light all the way at the end that showed great comparison between itself and the dark abyss she was walking in. Must be a manhole over there.

Lux glanced down at the street names. She was trying to look nonchalant as she waited to go to the manhole so she could meet up with the rest of the Flawed, but the area wasn't as clear as it should be. She'd stick around and wait a bit longer. Normal street people didn't usual wait around dark alleys 24/7. Well, usually only if they were dealers or murderers or something of the like...
She shook off that thought. It was none of her business. Hell, she worked for a small branch of the Black Market. She ran into some crazy people in her work, and she knew that work like that could bring hours of staking out near dark alleys, waiting for your business to show up.
Lux briefly glanced into the alley as she pretended to stop and fumble in her pocket for a piece of gum. She popped said piece of gum into her mouth and stared into the alley as she pretended to be discreet about littering the wrapper into the alleyway. Act like a normal kid your age. Littering gum wrappers is what noral people do. Not suspicious at all. Well... hopefully. Anyone could see through stuff like that if they were observant enough... like those damned people who were ready to take them out as soon as possible...
Once again, she shook all those thoughts from her head and continued on her way, pacing down the street. She stopped and leaned against a building and pulled out an ipod. Look like she was meeting someone... Look inconspicuous... Look like a normal, human teen.
That, and wait. Just wait.

Adel let out a long stream of curse words as the ground sped rapidly towards her face, her head spinning from the speed at which she fell. She threw her arms out in front of her, wincing as her palms scraped against the hard ground. Staying motionless for a second, her face frozen mid-wince, Adel let out one last curse word and flopped over onto her side. 'How much farther away could it be...?' She thought acidly, biting on the inside of her cheek to keep from screaming in frustration. Flicking a strand of hair off her face, Adel stood up again, dusted off her jeans, and continued, this time moving at a much slower pace.
As she walked, she kicked up her feet a little, small clouds of dust puffing out around her feet. She went over the directions to the sewers-meeting-place-thing in her head quickly, and then, impatient, quickened her pace till she was full out running again. She skirted around the edge of a building, grabbing the corner of it with her sore hand to keep from skidding and falling again. After a while, Adel began to slow again, almost completely out of breath. "Mmmh...this sucks," she shouted, stomping her foot on the ground angrily.
Crossing her arms and staring straight ahead, Adel started, for the second time, to make her way slowly to the meeting place.

Markus was on edge. He knew he heard something, and he would not let that something get away without knowing what it was. His eyes darted back and forth in the dark alley, nothing but shadows to see. Markus was straining to find whatever it was. He could not afford to risk anything by letting his guard down. Snarling like he had done for so many years with his pack he growled. "I know you're there you little rat! Show yourself! If you do not show yourself and I find you anyways, I'll kill you without hesitation!"
He began shuffiling around the allyway. Pacing up and down and up and down. He couldn't see the spy on the roof anymore. "Oh-ho! So you're the spy that was on the rooftops! Well then, I'll be nice and kill you quickly!" The adrenaline was pumping, and he was getting anxious. "You know, I'm not going to be leaving, and the moment you make any motion or sound I'll find you! So make this easier for the two of us and come out already!"

"Spy? Merde, I am no spy." Le Chat stepped from the shadows, allowing her knives to become visible in the faint light. "I am merely an observer, and only an actor when the time is proper. but if you wish to dance with Le Chat, then by all means commencez si pret." The woman in black twirled her blades as she started to move in a broken manor, her feet hidden by her long coat and shadows, her body language contrary to how she moved so that any movement she made seemed unplanned and irregular.

Letting out a whoosh of air, Adel - finally - lowered herself into the manhole, shuddering at the dark interior as she went. When her feet hit the ground with a small tap, and she was sure of her balance, she reached into the pocket of her jeans and pulled out a small, squished match box, taking one out and striking it against the side of the box. A little light flickered in front of her, and she smiled, taking quiet steps forward.
She continued walking, shuddering every time a drop of water happened to land on her. She turned the corner, and gasped as her eyes met a small light at the end of the hallway. "Yes!" She whispered, dropping the match, stomping on it, and running towards it. She practically flew through an archway, her eyes on the light that had led her this way. Suddenly, the slippery floors lived up to their characteristics, and Adel lost her footing, landing on her knees. She felt a shooting pain go through them, and she cursed as she stood up again, now unsure of her balance. She cleared her throat and turned to look at a girl standing there. "Uh...hey. Lucy Alice, right?" She asked, staring placidly at her.

Soon enough, Lux declared to herself that they alleyway was finally secure enough that she could sneak over to the manhole and slip down into the passageway to lead her to the meeting place of the Flawed. She carefully walked into the alleyway, melting into the shadows, and going to the manhole cover. Using her powers, she lifted away the lid, jumped onto the ladder, and put the cover back. She then climbed down the ladder and into the wet, eerie atmosphere of the passageway.
She hurriedly walked down the passage, careful not to fall on the smiley, drenched ground, and towards the small light that slowly grew closer and closer with each passing second. Soon enough she entered through the arch and into the meeting place. There were two other girls already here, she noticed almost immediately. She remembered their names after a few seconds. "If memory serves right, then you are Adel...?" She glanced at her, making eye contact, "And you are Lucy Alice...?" She made eye contact with the other Flawed.

Adel shifted her gaze to the other girl in the room, one she barely recognised. "And you're..." she began, motioning for the odd-looking girl to finish the sentence. She rubbed her knee, still wincing a bit, and hissed as blood rubbed off onto her palm. Letting out a particularly dark word that kids under fourteen shouldn't ever hear, she plopped down on the ground, pressuring the spot above the cut with her index and middle fingers.

“Heh, that’s an unusual way to fight little girl.” Markus grinned. “I’m worried that I may just go easy on you.” His grin turned into a snarl. He sheathed his swords and crouched down onto all fours. He moved side to side in this manner, watching the girl in front of him sway awkwardly.
“Heh, I guess we’re both strange fighters. I applaud anyone who’s got the guts to be unconventional, Kitty. Mind if I call you that?” Markus was still a little tipsy, so his mind was moving between serious and frivolous at that point in time. Plus he was a natural flirt, and it didn’t matter that she was his opponent. She was kind of cute. “Ahhh, damn. Now you’re starting to tick me off.” He kicked back into seriousness.
Markus’ weight shifted and he leapt towards the girl. His moved to grab her wrist. Regardless that she was a girl, she had daggers, and even a sparrow with a knife was a dangerous creature.

The attack was unexpected in its nature. Le Chat had anticipated a lunge, but for striking, not grabbing. The agile woman shifted her weight and dropped into a low crouch before using her new position to spring forward into a roll that allowed her to come up behind her opponent. "Essai gentil mon ami, but I am afraid that I am not that kind of girl." Le Chat laughed as she backed away and prepared for her opponents next move. She had to wait for him to provide the opening she needed as his position now blocked her direction of escape. "I think, perhaps, that you have had a bit too much of the grape. Je suis correct, non?"

Lucy Alice looked at the other two girls who'd just appeared. She was just about to light a cigarette, but thought better of it. "Yeah," she nodded when they'd questioned her name, then looked at Adel's knees. They didn't look very comforting. In fact, the girl seemed quite disturbed by the pain. Anyone would be.
"So, what's your name?" She turned to the other girl, her electric eyes shifting.
Lucy would have to learn many faces today, many names, and many personalities. Did she want to? Sure. It meant more of a chance she'd live. Lucy Alice was never the sociable type, however. She'd need to amend that, possibly.
Itching for a cigarette, Lucy hoped that she didn't seem to be fidgeting, or appearing short tempered. The last smoke she'd had was yesterday morning, and it'd been torture waiting to be able to just sit down for a few minutes and enjoy herself.
But, anyway, she redirected her thoughts to the people in the room with her.

Felix, currently Chaos, was still walking along the alley, searching for his prey, dagger ready for a fight. He was chewing a stick of gum and slicing his dagger through the air, practicing for the torture before the kill. He was grinning and had a fire in his eyes: he wanted blood more than any other tangible object at this point. Just as he heard a footstep and his legs tensed to run towards it, he saw in his mind: if he chased this girl now, she would escape by some hand of fate, and report him, eventually causing his death. He scowled, and replaced his now sheathed dagger into his pants, cursing his bad luck in choosing his prey. He turned to leave, and found a series of boxes and crates, probably above his final destination: the manhole.
His mind switching to Sadness, he felt a huge wave of guilt as he realized that Chaos was about to claim another innocent life, instead of choosing one who had sinned enough to be killed as he had wished. The point of choosing the evil was pointless if he was evil enough to kill mercilessly himself! He cursed his other mind, and looked up, checking for several minutes to ensure he was alone. His eyes glowed bright, and he quickly moved the boxes out of his way, then lifted the manhole. He replaced the objects, heaved a sigh, and slowly descended the ladder of the manhole, down to the meeting spot and switching to Impassive at last.

Lux was taking in the features of the two other girls. They looked around the same age as herself, fairly pretty, interesting looking...
She was snapped out of her observations at the questions.
"Oh... I'm Lux." She stated simply.
She began to observe them again. She watched the girl, Adel, with her bad knees. Mild scrape... More than likely from the wet interior of the tunnel. Anyone, even well balanced, careful people, could slip and fall. She pulled a band-aid out of her pocket and handed it to. "I'm a klutz. I always have one on hand for myself."

The place was dark and dreary, and would scare many people if they happened to just climb down the sewer one night; Only to see four people with glowing eyes and pale skin standing together in the middle of a dripping corridor. It would've frightened Lucy herself, if she hadn't been forced to do this by the idea that she would most definitely die if she hadn't.
Lucy Alice looked over her shoulder, due to hearing foot steps down the hall. She saw a boy walking towards them, and quickly examined him to search for any human qualities. Nope, he was Flawed. Lucy then spoke, "Uh, hi." she said, turning around from the bloody knee scene.

Pietro stepped from behind the corner as Le Chet entered his peripheral vision. His sword drawn, he slashed upwards quickly, aiming for her back.
He had been following his mercenary. He admitted, it was amateurish to keep tabs on the sword-for-hire, but father Langstrom had decided to start chatting about his abby and is wife and children who had been killed by the Flawed one warm midsummer day...Pietro Kyrst was bored. So, when he saw his dog of war barking up a storm, he decided to work off some pent-up steam. He didn't care what father Cross had ordered, there was no way he'd have to be there to guard a manhole cover. Besides, if the Underground Pietro had visited all those years ago was anything like it's present-day incarnation, then all the sewer access points in the city would be connected to it. Guarding one wouldn't do much.

Albert had entered the scene searching for Pietro, only to find him disobeying orders and saw him abandon his post.
And that was the last straw for the grumpy old man. With his large company of holy warrior, he whispered something to the commander which he then bellowed at Pietro, who was still busy fighting Le Chat.
"High Inquisitor Pietro, for disobeying orders we have been ordered for a warrant on your arrest. Give up now, or we will be forced to use....force" said the not so smart commander.
