An overall good series in my opinion with much comic relief.

I like the anime more than the manga... I stopped reading the manga after chap 5 I think... I might start reading it again though... its really hilarious!

lolz :lol:I stopped watching the anime awhile ago but I have to agree with you there. Quite strangly we have reversed roles at the moment for I stopped watching and am thinking of watching it again.

I thought it might get fillers like every other series.

The scans are coming along verrrry slowly, so I had to read it online in Chinese. I hope whoever is scanlating this will pick up the pace soon, because things were just starting to get interesting. As for the anime, I love Gin's voice for some reason. Especially when he freaks out and his voice goes all high-pitched and weird.

My favorite characters would be Yamazaki and Hijikata. xD

i LOVE gintama!!! its one of my favourite mangas/anime
currently im liking the anime more because its stories that arent in the manga also its more funny, espically episode 20 and any of the episodes in the 30's

oh to the person who liked gin-san's voice, so do i and apparently its the same voice as nova from bleach, and the girl who does kagura is the same as rin from naruto

Im currently reading on chap 29, the comedy is superb mostly but is there gonna be a good storyline any time or is it gonna be the same ol' same ol'? There're hints to it yeah, but it's been pretty long since the characters are already introduced and stuff. Or at least there haven't been new characters in a while and it's been kicking yakuza *** and catching some pantythiefs all over.

i love both the anime and manga.
this is probably the only show i've come across where the fillers are actually hilarious and good to watch.

my favourite episode has to be the one with gintoki's love child. he even has the same sleepy/dead eyes! so much attitude :D

It's a really good, very random, but hilrious manga. THe randomness of it is what makes it so funny. It's gonna end at around 30 manga volumes. Don't know how many cahpters that turns out to be though. IS there really a plot or are they just doing random things? I guess they would ultimately either kick out the Amanto or make peace with them, and at the same time ressurrect the samurai.

that's why i like it, its completely random. because i do have a life (cough) i tend to pick up manga at random times and its pretty hard to remember where i left off. so a manga with crazy characters doing random things suits me just fiiiine. :D
i hadn't considered kicking out the Amanto. thought they'd just shake hands and play nice.
