La Muerte is lame. It doesn't even come close to Kamina's "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM KICK", which is Falcon punch junior. That being said, Falcon punch's explosion is galaxy sized, Kamina's WTHDYTIA kick sends Ganmen through giant boulders. La Muerte's show-off skull doesn't come close in destruction feats. The order fits perfectly.

I'd have to side with the Falcon Punch. Here's why:

1. It was made by Captain Falcon. cmon, any punch made by a guy with that name screams of epicness.
2. He leaped out of the fighter jet into outer space to perform it,.. and removing his helmet Lifesupport to boot.
3. Although the graphics wasn't as good as those other candidates (plus points for them) he was able to break the laws of physics by propelling photons several times faster than the speed of light, sufficent to traverse millions of lightyears in a second (cmon, the camera was millions of light years outside of the galaxy, and the photons reached it)
4. The punched guy was destroyed in reverse (i.e. the destruction started from the bottom). So great was the power of the Falcon Punch that it transcended Forward Momentum and actually acme from inside the punched individual.
5. Apparently, he actually survived this explosion (that destroyed a significant amount of a galaxy)and faked his death at the same time.

I rest my case. Epic.

Damn, One Piece has alot of epic punches. In my opinion, punches that explode really aren't that impressive. However, punches that seem to have the force of a million bulldozers that drive people into the ground or send them into the stratosphere are just sweet.

So I was getting myself some information from onepiece.wikia.com and from the gomu gomu no attacks I find this one very interesting: Gomu Gomu No ORA ORA ORA!
It says it is a combo attack from Luffy (One Piece) and Jotaro Kujo (JJBA) in the game Jump Superstars. Now those happen to be two of my favorite mangas. I might not have seen this punch/punches yet but I am pretty sure it is EPIC. :)

That fight has hype up, no explaination why they are so strong, no actual reason why they have to fight. It just happened. And it was so high energy with the music Nujabes had for that scene. It completely broke the mode for realistic sword fights and set an example of how the whole anime would be.

Doppo vs the American dark master(can't remember his name) -Son of orge - Grappler Baki second sequel - ch unknown

When he had Doppo in the trance, and it look like it was all over and then even though Doppo had no idea he kept fighting and beat his a$$. Showing that he thought he was stronger then he actually was. Made Doppo a greater character in my mind, and that usually make me feel happy when a character comes back from the ropes like that.

Shimi vs Gene Starwind (Outlaw star - eps unknown)

So many weapons it was great, plus at the ending.

He Got up and walked off, presumed dead and just started a new life. He was so epic he could of had his own spin off.

Mugen vs Jin - Samurai Champloo - first eps

That fight has hype up, no explaination why they are so strong, no actual reason why they have to fight. It just happened. And it was so high energy with the music Nujabes had for that scene. It completely broke the mode for realistic sword fights and set an example of how the whole anime would be.

Doppo vs the American dark master(can't remember his name) -Son of orge - Grappler Baki second sequel - ch unknown

When he had Doppo in the trance, and it look like it was all over and then even though Doppo had no idea he kept fighting and beat his a$$. Showing that he thought he was stronger then he actually was. Made Doppo a greater character in my mind, and that usually make me feel happy when a character comes back from the ropes like that.

Shimi vs Gene Starwind (Outlaw star - eps unknown)

So many weapons it was great, plus at the ending.

As much as I revile Naruto now, I think that one of the best fights I've seen in anime was Naruto vs. Sasuke at the end of the first half of the story. The animation looked good and the techniques, while wholly exaggerated and unrealistic, moved very well and destroyed the environment around them! Which is a lot of fun. It was genuinely entertaining.
In terms of fights that showed the most emotion, I would have to say the final confrontation between Spike and Vicious at the end of Cowboy Bebop. Everything just led up to the final fight: Vicious had taken control of the syndicate, Julia had died and Spike was out for revenge. And basically, up until he gets to Vicious, Spike is completely destroying everything! That was a good ending to a good fight and an even better series.

1. Sasuke vs. Naruto (at the end of part one) I know it's cliche'd, but this is one of my favourite anime moments ever. The animation is simply flawless.

2. Vash vs Knives (Trigun) everying about that fight was so intense. It took place in such a weird environment, and there was no music. Just the best gunplay ever shown in anime. As well as an epic finale.

3. Natsu vs. Gerard (Fairy Tail). The epitome of an epic showdown. DBZ level uber-combat.

4. Scar vs. Kimblee (FMA) Two vicious psychopatrhs fighting to the death in the ruins of an abandoned city. Epic fight, and awesome ending.

5. Shikamaru vs. Temari (Naruto) A very nice fight with Shikamaru's cleverest moves ever.

Kenichi vs Ryuto (manga and anime: History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi) towards the end of the battle (eps 48 & 49 in the anime) when he starts pulling out his masters persona and moves. Probably my all time favorite fight scene.

Rock Lee vs Gara (manga and anime: Naruto) pretty much from the point his weights drop my jaw hit the floor and was a Rock Lee fan there after... was depressing he lost the way he did but still blew my mind the amount of power and speed he had.

Goku vs Pykon (anime: DBZ) this was during the otherworld universal championship tournament, the fight was pretty cool watching two good guys having a serious but good natured fight. That and it wasn't 15 episodes of both of them powering up and trying to burst a blood vessel screaming while doing it...

I could probably come up with more if I sat here and thought about it a while but these are pretty much my top 3... good enough :P

Kaze Vs the Stone Oni was awesome, pure brute force just slamming each other.
Kurono Vs the Last Dino, his awesomeness just left everyone in awe when he killed the giant dino without a suit.
Oka Vs Nuri, The fight itself was awesome, but the end result just plain sucked. Especially with all that hype.


So did Berserk obviously:

When Guts was trying to make his way to Casca.....
When Guts fought Grunbeld right after getting the black armor.
When Guts encountered Slan in the cave of rapist trolls.

Rock lee vs. Gaara in the anime is still my favorite fight. Part of it was because of the insane amount of power Lee was hiding, and part of it was just the crazy super speed. But I think what really made me enjoy the fight was the amount of determination Lee had. Watching him struggle against an absolute genius with no genjutsu or ninjutsu was very entertaining. The fact that it was so close despite it being a complete mismatch made it even more enjoyable.

Oh, and anything and everything with Zaraki Kenpachi.

Rock Lee vs. Kimimaro (anime) - Drunken fist FTW!
Rock Lee vs. Gara was also good in the anime

Kenshin vs Sojiro (anime) was great too. Probably one of the best sword fights in anime/manga. Shukuchi FTW!

Yuske vs. Shinobu (anime) - Including all of the breaks and the conclusion. The fight was epic.
Yuske vs. Younger Toguro - This got me hooked on the anime and pushed it up there for some of the greatest fights imo.

Izumi & Kei vs. Oni boss demon - This was just off the chain badassery.
Tokyo Gantz Team & Osaka Gantz Team vs. Nurarihyon - Specifically Katou, Kaze, HS and Oka. That fight was insane. I wish this manga gets picked up again for an anime..

Almost all Kenichi fights are epic, so it really is a matter of preference. The one against the Chinese kid was just nuts, and the finisher was even crazier. I wonder if we'll ever see the Taiho Shouha again.

This fight was tactical and very evenly matched until the very end, even if the result didn't really give credit to the better fighter. This is the fight that, for me, makes Dragon Ball 1000 times better than DBZ. Just a personal opinion.

With 'best manga fights' there's two fights that immediately come to mind.

First fight between Musashi and Inshun (Vagabond) - So magnificently orchestrated. Every movement is drawn so goddamn detailed, I actually rushed through the chapters to keep up with the speed of it as if it were real. Sheer adrenaline, and a great outcome.

Jotaro Kujo VS Dio Brando (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) - Time gets stopped, steamrollers are thrown around, vampires humanoid spirits are destructive as ever and everyone is as cool as always. The most badass fight in manga history if you ask me, and it probably won't get succeeded any time soon.

i would say sasuke vs naruto. but nah ill say orochimaru vs the third. alot of high level attacks. we get to see the frist and second hokage. goood fight.

next would be ichigo vs byakuya. great fight. even though i dont understand what ichigo was gona do after he wins anyway. like if aizen didnt backstab every one.. what was he gona do? fight the other captians till he saves her? anyway i feel he lost that fight to byakuya but it was a good fight.

Dude ichigo vs byakuya was the best fight in blech, imo. The gimjow fight in the anime was unbeliveably epic. I love the part where haibel said she felt like she was watching 2 espada's fighting. Goku vs frieza was epic, especially the scene where goku calls freiza a fool and blows him away with a one-handed kamehameha.

Gun X Sword is made of awesome and completely underrated, alot of great fights with both mecha and sword . But the Final really took the cake.

Van, who happen to be in space for the last two episodes, falls from the atmosphere in complete BA glory to put the beat down on the clawed man

And Trigun Maximum is mostly great battles and with guns, but the fight between Legato and Vash was top tier for me along with Livio vs Crimson Nail and Wolfwood vs Old Man Chapel and Livio/Razlo.

Gun X Sword is made of awesome and completely underrated, alot of great fights with both mecha and sword . But the Final really took the cake.

Van, who happen to be in space for the last two episodes, falls from the atmosphere in complete BA glory to put the beat down on the clawed man

And Trigun Maximum is mostly great battles and with guns, but the fight between Legato and Vash was top tier for me along with Livio vs Crimson Nail and Wolfwood vs Old Man Chapel and Livio/Razlo.
