In my opinion the anime was better than the manga, artistically. I liked the clever use of symbols and stuff. Also, I don't really like the manga's art style that much.

Though I still like the manga. Tamaki's my favorite in both versions. The series won me over within five minutes of the first episode, since Tamaki was hilarious.

I'm pretty sure Haruhi will not be with Kaoru. Yes, Kaoru admitted he loved Haruhi, but he said that Hikaru is more important to him. Or something like that. Hikaru also likes Haruhi andKaoru encourages him to keep going.. eh. But I don't think the twins will be with Haruhi. Unless something else happens. :P

I really enjoyed watching the anime, hilarious. I thought the ending was good, maybe because I like HaruhixTamaki, but she didn't exactly end up with anyone.
I've read most of the manga now, up to ch 54 and missing ch. 44, but i really like it. Compared to the anime, the drawings kind of suck, but I think Hatori is getting better because compared to the sketch thing in volume 1, the one in volume 9 is a whole lot better.

I like HaruhixTamaki, even though its cliche, because Haruhi understands him well and she worries about him. Maybe Hikaru will end up with her because he becoming more mature, but I really don't like them together.
KyouyaxHaruhi is okay, better than HikaruxHaruhi. I like the moments Kyouya has with Tamaki and other ones with Haruhi.

The story in the manga is more interesting because of all the details and some of the stuff they do, but some of it is really weird.

I want Usa-chan (bun bun?) as a cute backpack, but I can't find it anywhere.

Interesting show overall. I must admit that I prefer the anime over the manga because the anime can really portray how the characters act that cannot be seen through manga. Reading the manga is so hectic because too many things are happening all at once.

There is only one person who, I think, does not like Haruhi more than friends...and that is Haninozuka. Personally, he sees her as a playful friend unlike Tamaki and the twins who see her as...something special. Even Hani's cousin sees something special about her but he stopped it...Then again, these are all speculations.

I really really want Haruhi to be with Kyouya. Now that is a must-see.

Hmm, I must be the only one who was satisfied with the anime ending. I mean, what were people really expecting? The manga is still ongoing and it wasn't until these past couple of months that we have really gotten a definitive answer as to who Haruhi may end up with. We can't expect Bisco Hatori to give them the end of the manga when she hasn't even written it. It would have been disingenous of the production company to have chosen a partner for Haruhi when in truth she hasn't even seen of the other guys as anything but just friends. We got an open-ended final episode which was, IMO, appropriate and fitting.

i like how this manga actually shows how feelings are born and developed through time. unlike other manga where the heroine suddenly falls head over heels over a guy just cuz he's hot or something, ouran is actually a good shoujo manga.

It's unique. Yes, most shoujo manga rush the girls feelings or either make them extremely dense (e.g. Hikari from SA)

Also, Haruhi's personality and little care about her gender makes it harder for her to develop feelings.

I absolutely loved the anime, but I have to agree that ending wasn't really on par with what I was hoping for.

However, the manga is so cute!

I'm not sure who I'm hoping Haruhi ends up with... I love Hikaru in the anime, but for some reason in the manga, I'm leaning towards Tamaki...

It makes it difficult that everyone is falling in love with her... why does it have to be so complicated?

Ouran High School Host Club is serialized in the magazine LaLa, which is released every month on the 24th. So I expect that you should be seeing Chapter 56 on that date, but only the raws. As for the scanlation itself, I'm not sure when you'll get that. At the moment, it doesn't look like a particular scanlator group is working on it. The person who has been doing the translating recently has expressed the desire to focus more on school. Who knows though, she may pick up a chapter here and there.

Seriously, life would be a whole lot easier for me if I could read Japanese as well. That and the fact that it would be easier on the purse strings too.

By the way, I got a glance at Chapter 56 raws, and it's pretty sweet! I think that someone is actually working on the scanlation for this chapter so you might be able to get it in a couple of days or so.

Yeah, I went to this translation site called puri puri neko, and it says they're are currently working on the rest of the chapters... even 44. ^^

I can't wait for 56! I loved how emotional Haruhi got, even though it's a bit out of character for her. I really like her with Tamaki even though Hikaru is good too. Dang it all!! All these possible relationships make my brain hurt. :) I don't think the anime will get a second season though. It been a while since the series orginally aired and i don't think a second one has been announced. Plus they rarely do sequels even if they need one. Like Fruits Basket, that anime totally needed a second season.

i would say the twins changed a lot since the beginning. they opened up their world to others. something that they've never really done until Haruhi showed up. they've come to learn how to face their inner conflicts and slowly changed throughout.

i agree that the twins have changed the most, but i like Kyoya's change the most. it was so fun when he gets pissed at the King. hahaha. i couldn't stop laughing during the "sports" competition. lol. (sry if anything's spelled wrong. they keep on changing the spelling.)

I agree the twins seem to be the ones that have changed the most. lol i loved the sports competition too. Kyoya getting mad at the Tamaki was priceless. He's usually so calm and collect, but seeing him get upset like that was funny. I think the only character that really hasn't changed much is Mori. But i love Mori.

I think the only anime I've seen that came out with a second season was Honey and Clover... I love that anime.

I really wish Fruits Basket had a second season, although I was thoroughly satisfied with the manga ending. <3 All time favorite manga, right there. ^^

Anyways... I'm supposed to be getting a translated copy of 56 from this girl I met on youtube.com. I'll share with you guys once I get it.
