Does neon genesis really end like that?

Hey hey Ive been reading a lot of manga recentl, <3 the site its amazing, but does neon genesis seriously end like that in the manga?! I mean its like there is a chapter or two missing or is it intended to end when the army invades the base? Ah well if anyone can confirm if this is the true ending or not i would greatly appreciate it so i can either try and look for the remaining chapters or just ignore it ty in advance

The anime doesn't really have two endings. Its just one ending and the other is more detailed. And now they're making another ending. So yea. It would be two endings. Well Three.

The Anime, The OVA ending, and then another OVA ending.

You should watch the anime if you want to know the ending. Since theres 2 endings. The first one aired on Adult Swim or you can watch the movie End of Evangelion since that shows you the alternate ending to the Eva series.
