It's been a while since a new issue has been posted and I am hearing that it's licensed by CMX for the US. I was wondering if there were people who are still scanlating it. cause the CMX version is censored and edited for American viewers but I was hoping that the jap version is being translated still cause personally I like the uncensored parts just as much as the rest of the story ;)

The manga has been a test of my patience already. I had to re-read the last 30 chapters a couple times to finally digest whats going on. Its hard to pay attention to the plot with all that fanservice!

But now this... its gonna be a pity to drop the series after all the time I invested on it! I guess Ill look around for kind underground scanlators -_-

I have been reading this series for about a year or 2 now, I was waiting like every 4 months to read the translated chapters at the book stores,
after coming to this site i read the rest of the manga in less than 6 hours im so hooked and now im re reading it from the beginning.

we should have discussion here as well of whats going on.

the last 10 chapters were really sorta confusing but i get it now, and now that souchiro is back with his new look, (which im kinda pissed its like Shin all over again) im very upset that the chapters haven't been coming out. if we have to wait for the american release it wont be till about march next year that we will get over chapter 105 maybe longer considering its only at about 90 right now.

The anime is a horrible abomination of the manga. Just start the manga from the beginning.

The anime is some sort of censored version of the manga, but with the same plot. Save for some stuff at the end. It only covers a very small amount of manga chapters. As for where should you start... hm... go ahead and read the whole thing if you hunger for ecchi (I didnt, but regreted it later), but if its the plot you want to keep track of... be warned... its a tough nut to crack. I think ch 50 is the one where the anime left off.

trust me Tenjho IMO is the best, i mean i love this so much more than naruto, bleach or anything else, its like full of old jap proverbs inspirational teachings, the action is always there and the story is just beautifully done, I just wish it was more popular than it is, maybe we would get faster releases

I dont recommend it. If its true that you have a lot of other mangas to keep track of, you shouldnt make Tenjou Tenge a priority. Its definetly NOT what I would call a light read. I would definetly keep in my list, tho. I dont regret ever noticing this manga.

i mean athos is right its not a light read, i mean its not a naruto or a bleach with only 17 pages, its 30 pages and about 28 is full of text to read. but thats what makes it a delightful manga. im not 5 anymore so pictures dont amaze me I need a detail story to keep me stimulated

Laughter. I cant call myself a fan, but Im still around. I dont usually post in the forums unless I have doubts or if I can be of help to someone. Sometimes I just cant help myself and express personal opinions, but its rare.

There is something bothering me. Where does te Reikki really comes from? And what the hell is its true purpouse?

It shows up in the ancient era, I forgot where and who had it first. It started off as a demon-Shin trigger, and then it turned into the opposite. Then it was some kind of relic that contained Shin's soul, and ended up being some life-absorbing ultimate weapon. Mitsoumi said it was essential to kill or seal Souhakku. And now it keeps Maya's soul. Thats a hell of a kitchen knife if you ask me.

Can someone point me in the right direction? Does the manga ever mentions where or how was it created or imbued by such powers?

I may be the biggest Tenjou fan here. (ive read this manga over 2 or 3 times now and i finally found a channel on American Cable that shows this show)
But i will help you to the best of my ability
The Manga has not yet told how the Reikki was created.
What we know from it is this. (Actually this is just my interprettation that makes sense to me)
The Natsume Family or more so the Dragon Eyes are known to be able to produce an unlimited amount of KI. since the Sword Reikki consumes Ki from its user (the reason why maya is out of commision right now)
the Sword is only really good for people who can use the dragon eyes (Shin and Aya). the Reason why Shin Turned demon is because when he touched the sword for the first time his young mind was not able to handle such power from the Dragon Eyes or the reikki.
My Theory is, the Reikki has so much KI stored in it from other users and peoples that it has stolen. That Souhakku is afraid of it for that reason. When he had the little girl who can nulify the Dragon Gates, that sword was the only that held the powerful Dragon Gate KI in it. which in return could kill Souhaku or any other Dragon gate user or any one with any type of power (as u saw it cut through Tetshiro who was suppose to have iron skin)
Basically the sword is the only thing that can somewhat Stop the 100 year war.

Aya (14 Generations before the one you knew) seems to be the ancient times holder.

the sword doesnt really contain shins soul, he was just the last person who went mad from it. and the last persons ki who was stored in to it.
What i think it will ultimately do is Seal Souhakkus ki. and kind of finally kill him off.

Makes perfect sense. I missed the "Dragon eyes having unlimited Ki"part. The natsume family holding the sword would be reasonable. Listing the facts like that makes it look pretty obvious but I wouldve never figured out the details... I am more of a casual reader.

Dont know what the big deal is with Souhakku. Just chop the guy's head off and make sure you pop the eyes! Sheesh. I dont know what Mitsoumi was thinking at the cave.

Now that I think of it, he was working under Souhakku all along, taking him out by himself, leaving Souchirou incapacitated at the cave, ready for the eye transplant. Yet he kept mumbling about how to finally finish Souhakku off. The whole chapter was really vague... I think Ill read it again.

I think he knew who was supplying him with f members but as far as officially knowing who he was and working FOR him, thats a good theory but I dont know how right that is.

maybe Mitsoumi did know who Souhaku was and all about the power, because when mitsoumi dies, souhaku may be the only one who can bring him back to life. and thats why he worked under him in the first place.

in the ancient times the Takayangi was working against souhaku but now mitsoumi was working for him.
Mitsoumis dad didn't seem to like Souhaku but knew he couldnt kill him so they didn't

I love Tenjho Tenge too. But no one really talks much. I have all the DVDs and read the manga over and over to try and comprehend things more. And I know what American show you're talking about----> Fuse. As if the anime is edited already.

I think the whole series is pretty awsume I most say, the resent story I really like the whole "F" organization and Souhakku, Nagi, and Aya's past, and now the end of the year fight. I most say i hate that it only come once a month and not once a week, I want to see more of the fighting that made me want to read this manga, Kabane vs. Aya (that was awsume so far anyway), Souichiro vs. Tessen, and Maya vs. Kagiroi, all of those were amazing.

It's true that this manga is a bit wordy from time to time, but the art work really makes up for it.

Just finished reading the new chapters and said "What the hell is going on?" I'm more confused than ever. The dialouge is becoming even more vague. At least they had some comedy which reminded me of the better early chapters.

Because he's outside of it. And at the same time there has been a seat that was always avalilable?? :confused:

Aya created a exact replica of the sword and now it won't go away. And the sword continues to be in there family. And now Aya will become the katana to the one that can cut the "chains of fate"

Madoka can wield the Reiki (fake or real) with ease and claims that whoever possess it. Can't be harmed. Then how does she explain what happened to Maya?!

This book is to sexy.....Masataka is still broken.

Souichiro reveals that Mitsuomi, Kohaku, and he himself are intimidated by Masataka.....Masataka, in true Kazu form, acts as if he doesnt know what he's talking about. One of the pages (the one where is still standing) shows the eventual showdown between the two, and i cant wait for that. Souichiro ask Masataka to destroy the ring of fate instead of take a seat in it. Why? Because Masataka is broken........or the closest to become the true warrior (what the hell is a true warrior?)

The Reiki "is" or has some relation to that little girl from the feudal chapters (i dont know if they already revealled this since i didnt read the entire arc, and if it hasnt been revealled this is just speculation).


oh and Madoka can use the Reiki with ease because she is a blade master (more so than Maya), and cant be harmed by Red Feathers due to the Reiki's anti-red featherness......

funny how the one character that was constantly ished on throughout the series is shaping up to be everyones eventual savior....not to say that things wont change as time passes........he's still broken.

Madoka killed everyone because she is an awesome sword user. plain and simnple. she couldnt remember if she was slicing through them because of reiki power because she wasn't fighting 100 Tetshiros . she was just fighting powerful people, but she herself is very skillful.

Also don't forget masataka is the true matrial artist, atleast from what 2 people have described him as. a great fighter who isn't bent on killing.
he is outside the ring because of that, everyone else wants to fight, wants to test out there power, he simply does not. thats why he is on the outside.

The most confusing part was if Kabane was talking to Souchiro or talking to the eye patch. or whatever is in eye patch.

I'm so glad to see tenjho boards lighting up again, although I already read both these chapters weeks ago.

Hmmm. I suggest you start off on chapter 50. Page 15. The fight Maya and Aya have is going on. The anime didn't leave off there. But it did leave things out. The meeting with Dougen and Makiko are after that.

But the manga had wwwaaayyyyy more fanservice than the anime. Just a bit of a warning.

the fight you saw in the anime with souchiro fighting mitsoumi and him opening up his dragon gate was just an ova, that didn't happen in the manga.
pick up around 50 like he said. The manga is so much better and has nudity, if your into that type of thing.
the thing with Senhime, I think she is dead, and with the powers (red feathers) becoming so strong and present again the birth of the second Amaretsu holder was needed (all IMO)
But you were right though, how does she activate her powers, ? if that was the case why couldnt she beat tet****o on her own? I find that weird.

I think that Bunshichi was talking about Mitsuomi too. Because he's in a hurry to die and a little for Maya's sake(maybe).

Also, I believe that the reason Maya couldn't beat Kagiroi Tetsuhito. Was because she was probably unaware of her abilities. And if she was. She couldn't control it. Because even Senhime needed Osaka castle to help control her powers. And that damn guy had a body of iron.... Che!

But that whole Senhime revival could be a possibility. Because there's so many plot twists. And the Amaterasu gate just showed up.

obviously I misunderstood some things I thought Aya was making some kind of a deal with sohakku to save her sis and souichirou.Considering she knew sohakku was inside souichirou's right eye.sohakku told her to pretend like she didn't notice anything.and sohakku has powers over death.

its the reason why a lot of Shounen main characters hair color is blone or orange or something funky. (ichigo, SSgoku, naruto, Souchiro)

they do this manga once a month in Ultrajump right. The art in this manga is so beautiful that it often distracts me from the story. I wish I could draw that well.

as for who was raped.. I don't really want to find the pages, but:

1) Bob's girlfriend (Chiaki, I think) was raped by that fire guy at the beginning. She told Bob that he "didn't get it in", but later at the Bowling Alley fight, she admits she was raped.

2) Can't remember who the woman is, but when a group was sent to that temple looking place, there was a little boy and a woman. The woman was captured by the guy that uses a lot of staves. When Souichirou & crew come to her rescue, it shows a few pages of her completely naked, and around her are "torture" tools and "substances" which I suspect were really used to shove it up her private area..... (that's pretty much rape, they're just using tools instead of real penises... )

That's about all that's shown in the Manga as well. Chiaki got roughed up until she's naked, and when Bob and Souichirou get there, she's on the ground. It's just in the Bowling Alley part, she admits she was raped.

I know only a handful of anime that have bested their manga counter-parts. The artists tend to go deeper in the manga than they can do for anime (in part i believe due to ratings and funds) and that's where the animations fall short.

Hmmm.... I think the translators are just busy reading that they forgot to translate it. LOL. Anyway, this is much more enjoyable to read than to watch since uh. you know, there are some scenes that are best left in your imagination. Anyway, the manga is good but the texts in the translations are hard to read. it takes me double the time i take to finish a chapter.

I'm not sure if tenjou tenge is in a weekly magazine anymore, which is why we haven't seen weekly scans and what not, possibly due to air gear eating up most of his time. It seems like a new tenjou tenge manga comes out every 7 months, so there is a lot of lag between volumes, but you know he'll make the wait worth it.

HU? I didn't get wht you mean...But Masataka had earned about Tawara going to the HQ for fighting against Mitsuomi (I think he learned it in previous chapters...), and when he arrive, he saw Mitsuomi hit by Twara, and worried...for nothing, since it wasn't a really dangerous punch...
Hi situation so far in the story?...He's the one who's isn't in the wheel of destiny created by ...Nagi's father (don't remember the name...something like Sonsaku..), so he may be one of the important protagonist...Also, his fighting skills are different from other, he fight for protecting others, and with this, he want to help other to break this wheel of destiny

Man, I give up. I was recommended to read this manga by quite a few friends of mine, but to me this really is a big disappointment. I have to agree with many people out there that Oh! Great couldn't write a story even if it was to save his life.

Quite frankly the only thing I find good in this manga is the art, it's awesome but that can't cover up foor poor writing skills.

Too many flashbacks, too many sex scenes that serve no purpose in driving the plot, the only thing they're good for is bringing in the perverts who like to jerk of to comic porn. Super Saiyan Bargain Sale-syndrome (Aka everyone develops super powers and new ridiculous moves), which in turn results to messy fights and plot twists that defy all logic. Not to mention the setting alone is way too unrealistic for a modern day society. After reading about half the chapters and skimming through the rest, I really see no point in continuing, it just keeps getting worse.

It's no different than what happened with Air Gear. That series was great when it began. A lightheaded humorous sports manga, where a person would struggle to get better at competing, which then degenerated into a "beat the opponent into a pulp in the most gruesome way possible with your new super powers, while trying to save the world from a powerhungry maniac"-mess.

He's the most possible, for me Masataka was always introduc as someone who wasn't in the puzzle (though the last piece was put in it with Masataka's entrance), but I prefer thinking that he's still outside of the wheel of destiny. Souichiro is Susanoo. Susanoo was the one at the base of the Red Phoenix which got all the power. After that there is a story in which he kiled every chief and raped their women and the blood was divided into the family...And the goal of Nagi's father is to have one reuniting again all the dragons for becoming Susanoo again himself (since he's in the eye, once Nagi absorbed everything, he'll be Sohaku and Susanoo...)

Thats definitley true. Bunshichi was the most powerful character in Tenjho Tenge and he fought with a Boxing/street-fighting style. Mitsuomi is also stated to be the best and he only has pure martial art ability. Maya is hot, but lame.

bunshichi was a freaking beast, and it's nice to see an manga that has women that aren't completely useless like naruto or something. But how long does it take for them to release another ep. The long waits are killing me!!!!
