Hm, the time could pretty spread out, we could see him fight very soon, or it might be about 10 more chapters(possibly more) and he'll start whooping butt.

As per the s-class thing, it could mean that Fairy Tail has more powerful S-class mages, or that their normal mages were more powerful..

I think that guy Natsu fought may have had other powers, of course he could've also been recruited just to be put in situations with fire magic using only.

I personally think that fairy tail mages are stronger than phantom they are only cheaters so they defeat the guild master of fairy tail if they didn't go kidnapping lucy the tides might have turned their when they assault the phantom's base.

theres 5 s-class mages in fairy tail if you count mirajane, (former s-class) but somehow she lost alot of her magic power, also i think elfman was an s-class mage too cause mirajane seems to know alot about him and it was said he cannot fight but he is still fighting

Elfman (エルフマン Erufuman) is often quoted saying "Men should solve their problem with their fists" and believes that men should be strong, no matter what the situation is. His magic is called Take Over and it allows him to absorb the power of monsters he defeated into his arm. With this magic he's nicknamed Beast Arm Elfman. Elfman's skill is said to be top level in Fairy Tail, but he has trouble going all out at times when it's most important. His rough and scary appearance can be misleading since he is actually kindhearted and easily moved to tears.

It seems both him and Mirajane were badly hurt sometime in the past. What happened to the both of them is still unknown, but it seems to be something that hurt them badly emotionally as it said that Elfman's heart is locked shut, as if he blocks out all emotions because of whatever happened to him in the past. Mirajane is very concerned for Elfman when she found out he went with Gray to help out Natsu in the Phantom Lord guild building, though Kana feels that he will be fine.

i can understand them being part of a team but they wernt cocky and took a s-class mission, they could have taken one if they wanted cuz mirajane used to be a s-class mage.

hey what the hell? natsu was finally showing some progress towards advancing his dragonstate by growing those wings, and now they are gone again? why?
It seems gazille has a better grasp of his dragonslayer magic than him, cause he can grow scales already.
So next chapter the wings will have to come back, or some kind of new dragonform will have to emerge. (now that he's warmed up...)

Well, it's a 'forbidden art' so there's bound to be some dark cults still using it. Or maybe he learned it from a dragon too, maybe each dragon can teach his own elementel dragon slayer magic and gazilles dragon sensei was a metal dragon...
Btw all this bleeding is not making sense at all. Every wound natsu gets should be cautarized at once just by his heatgenerating. Why would gazille bleed from a flame wound??? wouldn't he be burned instead, especially if the flame was so hot it could vaporize metal....

hey its a manga so it doesnt have to make sense but there probly is a way to explain it. as for the dragon slayer power didnt natsu learn from a dragon? so would there be like a metal dragon or just someone who got creative.

yeah and as for the dragon slayer ability being tought by a dragon, thats because they had to use the dragons strengths against them and thats why they can swallow fire and do other stuff, so its a lot easier to fight them

I really enjoyed the latest chapter. Looks like Dragon Slayers need to eat their element to gain an advantage. But I still think that this arc is going by too fast. The battles are ending too quickly and there is not enough exposure from the other characters. I know that Natsu and the gang are the main chars. But there are lots of other characters with unique abilities that I think should get center stage once in a while.

I think it depends on the girl as well. She needs to be able to control them and grow in magic storage.
But...her stellar spirits are pretty gay looking and their supposed to be rare and powerful...she must be really weak or the stellar magic is useless.
