Guide to BB Code
All BB Code is enclosed by brackets [] and have an opening tag []and a closing tag [/]. Listed below are the common BBCode tags used for marking up your text. To use these tags, simply remove the space in the opening tag (space inserted so you can see how the full code looks). You can also use more than one tag for a word, just make sure to close the tags in the reverse order you opened them.
Bold = [ b]Bold[/b]
Italic = [ i]Italic[/i]
Underline = [ u]Underline[/u]
Bold Italic = [ b][ i]Bold Italic[/i][/b]
Underlined Bold Italic = [ u][ b][ i]Underlined Bold Italic[/i][/b][/u]
Colored Text = [ Color="Red"]Colored Text[/Color]. The full list of Colors is below. Simply put the Color name (as written, no spaces) in the quotes to use.
Black, Sienna, DarkOliveGreen, DarkGreen, DarkSlateBlue, Navy, Indigo, DarkSlateGray,
DarkRed, DarkOrange, Olive, Green, Teal, Blue, SlateGray, DimGray,
Red, SandyBrown, YellowGreen, SeaGreen, MediumTurquoise, RoyalBlue, Purple, Gray,
Magenta, Orange, Yellow, Lime, Cyan, DeepSkyBlue, DarkOrchid, Silver,
Pink, Wheat, LemonChiffon, PaleGreen, PaleTurquoise, LightBlue, Plum, White
Fonts are available in 7 sizes and can be combined with the already listed forms of BB Code:
1 = [ size="1"]1[/size]
2 = [ size="2"]2[/size] - Default size
3 = [ size="3"]3[/size]
4 = [ size="4"]4[/size]
5 = [ size="5"]5[/size]
6 = [ size="6"]6[/size]
7 = [ size="7"]7[/size]
Images
First, before you can link an image to show in posts or in your signature area, you need to have it hosted somewhere. There are plenty of free hosting sites that allow you to upload an image and link it for use in a forum - Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com) and Imageshack (http://www.imageshack.com) are two of the biggest. Unless you have permission, it's not polite to link an image from someone else's site though. Once your image is hosted, you need the URL (direct link address) to put in the BB Code.
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s320/Silver_rain15987/Naruto-1.jpg = [ img]http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s320/Silver_rain15987/Naruto-1.jpg[/img]
You can use the same code to place images in posts and in signatures. Please make sure to follow the Signature Rules (http://forum.onemanga.com/showthread.php?t=1882) before creating or updating your sig.
Links
You can post links a few different ways.
The first is to simply type out the full URL, the forums will automatically create a link:
http://www.onemanga.com
Second, you can enclose the link in tags if you want:
www.onemanga.com (http://www.onemanga.com) = [ url=http://www.onemanga.com]www.onemanga.com[/url]
Third, you can create a link using a description:
Check out this awesome site! (http://www.onemanga.com) = [ url=http://www.onemanga.com]Check out this awesome site![/url]
Spoilers
The spoiler tag can be used to hide images and text behind a button so that they aren’t immediately visible. This way people won’t have to look at something unless they choose to be spoiled.
This is how you create the spoiler tag to hide text and images.
= [ spoiler] This is how you create the spoiler tag to hide text and images.[ /spoiler]
The full reply screen also has a Word-like menubar with buttons for all available markup options. There is also a list of smilies that can be used in your posts. Click the "More" link to view the full list of smilies available.

Guide to Signatures and Avatars
Signature Rules
We understand how signatures are a great way to express yourself, but some signatures have been getting out of hand. In order to make the forums more appealing for everyone in the community, we have decided to implement some new sig rules:
You are only allowed a maximum of 1 image and 4 lines of text in your sig.
The dimension of the image must not exceed 500w x 150h pixels.
Image size should be kept under 100kb.
You must have at least 50 posts before putting an image into your signature.
Members may have up to 5 smilies and one image once they're able to have pictures..... if the picture breaks the rules, it will be removed. If you put up an illegal sig more than once, you will be temp banned. We'll keep track.
As far as spoiler tags go, they count as a line of text only as long as there is only text in there. Any images must follow the same rules. Thanks you for your continued cooperation.
This should allow everyone enough space to be creative, yet at the same time keep things clean and tidy for others.
Some of these rules will be enforced automatically. Others will be enforced by the moderators. Repeat offenders will receive warnings, but moderators will be more lax until people have had enough time to transition.
Oh and we're still tweaking the settings, so if you see any problems with sigs not showing even when they are within our guidelines, let us know.
*Note* Dragons do count as an image. It is also possible to have a signature image and under 50 posts, under certain conditions.
PLEASE NOTE - The forums have a mod installed that only displays a signature once per page. If your posts show up multiple times on the same page, then only your first post will show the signature. This is not an error or bug.
Adding a Signature:
Go to your User CP and under the Settings & Controls there are several options. Select Edit Signature. The text box that opens is exactly like the normal reply window. Any BB Code can be entered here, just as with usual posts, provided it follows the Signature Rules above. Please see the BB Code section above for information about hosting images.
Adding an Avatar:
An avatar is a small image below or next to your username that appears on all posts. Avatars are limited to 100x100 pixels and/or 19.5kb, whichever is smaller. To upload an avatar, go to your User CP, under Settings & Controls select Edit Avatar. You can choose to link an avatar from another site (please remember to ask permission before linking to someone else's site first) or upload the image from your computer.
Viewing Signatures and Avatars:
Signatures and Avatars are viewable by default for all visitors (with the exception noted above for signatures displaying only once per page). If you do not wish to view other people's signatures or avatars, you can turn them off in the User CP. Under Settings & Controls, select Edit Options and scroll down to Thread Display Options. Uncheck Show Signatures, Show Avatars and/or Show Images to have these items hidden when you read the forums. Unchecking Show Images means that you will not see any images in posts at all.

Guide to the Chatbox
Chatbox is located here. (http://forum.onemanga.com/misc.php?do=cchatbox)
Rules for the Chatbox are located here. (http://forum.onemanga.com/showthread.php?t=2565)
Guide to the User CP
http://coeurdefeu.com/hosted/om_usercp.gif
Above shows the Control Panel under User CP.
Private Messages aka PMs
PMs are messages sent between users through the forum (instead of using email or IMs, for example). You can send another use a PM by clicking their username in a post. This will open a box like the one in the image below, giving you several options.
http://coeurdefeu.com/hosted/om_username.gif
You select "Send a private message" from here and the reply window will open up. If you want to send the same message to multiple people at once (maximum of 5 people) separate the user names with a ';' (semicolon). You can also send PMs from someone's profile page under Contact Info. The third option is through your User CP, under Private Message and select Send a Message. You will need to manually enter the usernames into the To field.
New PMs
http://coeurdefeu.com/hosted/om_pms.gif
If you get a PM, it will have a bolded number on your PM tag next to Unread. To read it, you can click on Private Messages to go to your inbox and read any new messages there. The forum only allows you to have 50 messages total in your mailbox, which includes sent and received messages.
Guide to Posting
Editing, Deleting, Quoting
To delete your own post, click the edit button at the bottom right of it, then press delete.
To edit, click the edit button
To quote someone else's post, click the button that says quote with the pad and quill on it.
To multi-quote someone else's post, click the button that has the quote symbol and a plus sign on it (multi-quote is when you wish to reply to more than one person at a time and wish to quote more than one post).
Double Posting
If you do double-post, it isn't the end of the world as long as they're two separate thoughts or separated by a significant period of time (longer than 15 minutes). If you wish to respond to multiple posts though, you can also use the multi-quote button and/or edit your post.
Closed Threads
If a thread hits 20 pages in length (at the default settings of 10 posts per page), a mod or admin will close it, and usually make another of the same name. This is to prevent overly long threads from getting out of hand and taking up too many board resources.
Reporting Posts
Since the forum staff is (mostly) human, we can't get everything. However, you can help by reporting any questionable post by pressing on the 'Report this Post' button on the top right of the post that looks like a white triangle, outlined in red, with an explanation point in it.
Post Count
Post count increases in all threads and forums except Games, General Chit Chat, Introductions, and the RP OOC Forum. Posts do increase in the Art Forum and the Debate Forum.
Seeing Post Counts
Under Members List, click on the Posts column. You should see an arrow pointing downward next to the word posts now. The first member has the most, the last on the list has the least. Clicking posts again will reverse the list, showing the fewest posts first and the most posts last.
User Ranks/Titles
There are no user ranks. Everyone becomes a Member when they join the forum. There are 9 open groups you can join which allow you to change the title under your username. These groups can be accessed under the User CP, Miscellaneous, Group Memberships. The titles available from these open groups are Exorcist, Mage, Ninja, Pirate, Claymore, Shinigami, Crack Monkey, Mage, and Samurai. There is one approval only group (Uber Artists) which requires admin or group leader approval before you can join. Only admins can set up groups at this time.
Custom Titles
Custom titles are titles that you can change yourself (it is located under your username). There are several ways to get a custom title. You can become a forum staff member. You can help out around the forum in some substantial way. You can get a CT after getting five thousand posts. Or you can win contests several times (more info on that here) (http://forum.onemanga.com/showthread.php?t=23520).
Role Playing
In RP, you create a character and act as that character in that thread, talking and acting in the character's perspective.
If you are unsure of how to RP or where to start, please PM SilentBuddhist (http://forum.onemanga.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=4673) or check out the RP Rules. (http://forum.onemanga.com/showthread.php?t=6444)
Guide to Miscellaneous Things
Becoming a Forum Staff member
In general, asking lowers your chances. Don't call us, we'll call you. For more info, read this post carefully. (http://forum.onemanga.com/showpost.php?p=295159&postcount=1)
Newbie Hunting
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, Greg made a joke. Shocking, isn't it?. He said that we only go newbie hunting in the winter. For a long time, members have brought that back up in Intro threads. It has now morphed to fall for some reason. Anyways, the point is, we don't go newbie hunting. It was a joke. Okay?
The old forums
They are located here (http://www.onemanga.createmybb.com)
Forum Specific Rules
They now exist. When you enter any forum, check the stickies to see if any rules pertain to that forum in particular. All rules are located here. (http://forum.onemanga.com/forumdisplay.php?f=86)
Forum Etiquette:
This is very simple.
Be respectful. Respect the opinions of others. Debate, but not too loud, or with too much emotion. Don't say things that aren't nice.
Forums are not IMs. Speak English please. We won't jump on you for every little thing, but a sentence like "nARUTO IS TEH BEST!!!! iT ROXORS MY SOXORS!!!" just doesn't cut it.
Don't spam. This includes posting one word messages and/or making unrelated posts in threads just to see your numbers go up.
Don't say derogatory things to each other
Don't tell MangaAddict you don't like Tobi
Double Posts are okay as long as they're separate thoughts...
Keep the swearing to a bare minimum. Just because you can say it doesn't mean you have to.
Don't fight between yourselves.
Official Rules for All of OMF
General OneManga Forum Rules, Guidelines and Etiquette
With OneManga growing larger every day and becoming –the- place to read manga online, it’s time to revise and update our forum rules and guidelines. The staff wants to make sure that the OM Forums are the best place to discuss your favorite mangas for everyone.
Basic Rules:
Be Respectful
No compromises. No exceptions. It's the number one rule at OMF.
No Chat Speak
This is a forum where members can carry on discussions about topics that interest them. It’s not an IM session or a chatbox, so please don’t treat it as such. Use proper English (or as close as possible for those who aren’t native English speakers) grammar, spelling and punctuation. We won’t jump all over you for every little thing, but if you make a habit of pOStiNg l1Ke tHiS, then expect to have someone say something to you about it.
No Bashing
This means:
No bashing people. (This includes any single person and or group/race of people)
No bashing other sites. (If you don't like the site, then why mention it?)
No bashing manga / characters. If there's something in particular you dislike about a manga or character, you can state that in an existing thread. But if you dislike a manga / character there's no need to create a thread for that, and there's no need to bash the manga / character. It just ends up leading to fights
This includes PMs that bother people.
No Spamming
Spam is any post that doesn't contribute to the discussion. For example, posting just to say “Yeah!” or “I agree with this!” is considered spam. Excessive spamming will not be allowed and any posts will be deleted. Anyone who makes a habit of posting short, spam-like posts will be warned and if it continues, infractions and possible bans will ensue.
No Fighting
Don’t fight with other members, and definitely don’t start fights with the staff. Seriously, it’s not worth it and no one will end up happy, least of all you. Any problems you have can be solved with calm and polite conversation. If you have a question or wish to bring up a topic with the staff that you don’t wish other posters to see, then use the Private Forum. That’s what it’s there for.
No Flaming/Flame Baiting
Flaming is attacking someone. Very simple, if you're respectful and don't get into fights, you won't need to worry about it.
Flame Baiting is making statements that try to get them to respond back at you with derogatory statements. It's punished just as severely as flaming itself.
No Porn / Hentai
Absolutely no porn / hentai links, images or downloads. Any such posts will be modified/deleted accordingly and you will be hearing from one of the staff. Depending on the severity of the offense it may result in a ban. This is a PG-13 forum, let’s keep it that way.
No Duplicate Accounts
That means one account per person. There's really no need for anyone to have more than one account anyway. We're not going to go off on you if you have multiple accounts (we understand about siblings) but just know that we're watching, and we know.
If you are banned for other reasons and you create a duplicate account to get around the ban, then the ban will be made permanent.
No Advertising Links
This is pretty self-explanatory. The OneManga Forums aren’t here for you to spam advertising links for any reason. No links to money making sites of any sort are permitted in posts or signatures. Anyone found posting such links will be given a warning and/or ban as the situation merits.
Signatures and Avatars
Please read the signature and avatar rules found here.
Forum Etiquette Guidelines:
Post Smart. Remember to make your posts thoughtful and always try to invite good discussion, and have respect for other people's opinions. If we feel that you are deliberately looking to start trouble or to annoy people, don't expect either your thread or posts to last very long. Remember to argue the topic, not the person.
As long as your post is related to the topic of the thread, it won't be considered spamming or off-topic. Have fun. If a thread is already starting to veer off-topic, please don’t contribute to the problem.
Don't Double Post (posting twice in a row in a short period of time). You have an edit button, use it to alter your posts instead of making another post altogether. In some situations, it's acceptable- if the two posts are spaced out in time and topic. Try to avoid it, however.
Look to see if a thread about your interest already exists: Several of the forum boards (especially the Naruto, Bleach and One Piece) have handy master lists of discussions that the staff here work hard to keep updated. If you're unsure whether the topic you'd like to discuss already has a thread, please check there first.
Make your titles very clear: if you are creating the thread, please follow the existing title format (if there is one) or make sure that the thread title sufficiently represents what the topic is about. Don’t make a thread title with something like “Why should I…?” and expect that something so vague won’t changed by the moderators here to better reflect the subject of the thread, even if the first post is excellent.
Be Considerate. We have a nice community here. Let's keep it that way. If you make a lot of offensive posts - anything sexual in nature, for example - they'll be deleted. If you include a lot of vulgarity in your posts or deliberately try to get around the word filter, that won't be tolerated for very long either. So don't be immature and silly, and you'll be just fine.
Most of all, remember to have fun and enjoy yourself. OneManga is a great place to talk about your favorite manga, so let’s keep it that way!
*Thanks to Rhyssa for the revised rules

I noticed several of you mentioned you don't know how to multiquote. So you either edit your post or double post. Well let me learn you guys:
Don't make fun of my Paint Skills...
http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee7/Pansori7/multiquote.jpg
OK, see that icon with the quotes and the +? If you are multiquoting just hit that button for ALL THE POSTS YOU WANT TO QUOTE. On the last quote you need simply hit "QUOTE" or "Post Reply". The template will show up with all the quotes you want.
Pretty simple, right? I'll leave this open if you guys have any questions.
