watch this video, actuall its part two, but I'm watching it now, its a video featuring figurines of negima characters with everyone trying to come up with ways to get rid of Negi, and Chisame beating everyone who annoys her over the hhead with a kendo bokuto wooden sword.

it's really warped, and watch out for the bit where chisame hits asuna, it comes up with a black screen with writing before each hit, she does it twice, and when it happens, a high-pitched sword clashing noise happens, so if you watch with ear phones it hurts your ears.

the second anime has only one arc that takes up the whole series involving dark seed faeries that take over students and negi and pactio partners fight them off, and the main villain turns out to be Anya

I could only find episodes 1-6, subsequent episodes only with french subtitles, which I can't read. I know only a smattering of french words and certainly not enough to make a sentence.

I wonder when they'll release it on dvd, I know the animes aren't that great, but it's because we compare them to th manga, when you have high expectations, then mediocrity is always dissapointing.

It'd be great to see more of Alberio, Eishun and Takamichi's abilities on the battlefield, we haven't even seen Eishun fight!

There's actually a second negima manga called negima neo, but I've only seen chapter 0 and 2, it shows a bit more of negi at merdiana, including the final exam where he was teamed up with anya against a golem.

The last has a demonic looking face from the part of the mouth you can see, and claws,
could possibly be the Count, but I don't think so, as the counts horns would make wearing a cowl impossible, and his fighting style is wrong
Negi sure is tough, I thought the wound looked like it was through the stomach in the the picture on chapter 186

Hm It looked like it was roughly stuck into his mid-rib cage towards his shoulder...but yeah Negi is pretty tough, espicially for his age even without magic. I guess his body toughened up in a way considering how many times he has been hit all throughout the manga.

Yeah I think we have two new villains here, but I wonder if Fate is the real leader, or if someone else is pulling the strings from somewhere else, and we have yet to see them, It's kind of strange that Fate is like an evil version of Negi, in a way. I wonder if he knows something about the Thousand Master's location.

And What could they possibly want with Megana Messanpolia anyway? And why does Fate seem to need Negi alive? Maybe there's some sort of Artifact inside that the villains need or maybe they are there for the same reason as negi.

The reason they have noticed magic is partially because they were all turned into vampire thralls by evangeline way back, and even though they have been put back to normal, Makie in volume 7 had some memories, she remembered that Negi kicked her but, and called Evangeline with -sama on the end by mistake, from when Eva was her master.

No it's gravity magic, like alberio uses, those dark orbs are like his magic, chao didn't use a dagger the orbs from her were time displacement bullets, not magic. The one with a dagger didn't create the orbs it was the other one.

Fate, Tsukuyomi, a demon with a weapon, and a western mage with gravity spells.

as for other characters Tsunade, you have to download them and unzip into the character folder then alter the data file called select to add in the path name for the character to use them

I can give you Setsuna by email if you want, I also have naruto, Chad from bleach, wolverine of X-men, a couple of MK characters and last, but certainly not least, a majorly overpowered Sephiroth from FF7

Negi will not be able to defeat Fate, he'll leave, or Negi'll flee, Fate will probably continue to harass Negi right up to the end of the series, but Fate was already way beyond Negi, so even with the training Negi'll probably still be behind Fate as Fate would not have been sitting around twiddling his thumbs.

I got the hair colour, the eyes and clothes pretty much done, but the hairstyle still needs a little altering, before it'll be accurate.

if setsuna's folder is in the chars folder, you still need to edit the select.def file with notepad to actually add setsuna to the character select screen I put instructions in the email.
Setsuna_Sakurazaki is the name to put inplace of kfm, you can have up to 15 characters with the default select screen,

SKATEateer, Negi doesn't do drugs, so the cocaine line is not really appropriate to a Negima rap.

The black orbs are Mega-Gravity zones, objects inside them are affected by being made to feel massive air pressure as well as they themselves being made too heavy to remain standing, imagine being encased in lead clothing and crushed slowly by air that's too thick to breathe, massive pain.

Remember when Kaede was hit by spells from Ku-Nel Sanders at the Mahora Budokai in volume 13?

It sure is a pain trying to catch up with all the posts that pop up over a three day period, the last time I looked in was Thursday evening.

The last girl is of a family that wants to force her to marry him, so they can possess his genes, and so she is out to kill him so she won't have to.

He makes Negi's girl problems seem minor in comparison! halfway through the series, he uses his last spell and turns to dust, but becomes a ghost and is chased by a "ghost collector"

all that we've seen is in flashbacks and ambiguous dialogue from albirio imma.

Gateau Kagura Vandenburg was revealed to have suffered a mortal wound and stayed behind to slow down pursuit while Takamichi and Asuna got away, but we never found out who was after them, or why.

Albirio says he has been recovering under library island and can only move around by using a "sending" (D&D term, spell that creates an illusion used to send messages in the form of a talking image)
but why he needed to, or how he got there when he is apparently unable to move around (maybe a contingent teleportation spell that sent him there upon suffering a fatal wound, allowing him to survive)

Nagi himself dissapeared earlier on, but we don't know why someone with his power couldn't just obliterate the opposition with a single spell, and make hiding unnecessary.

Eishun apparently left prior to the last mission, as he had to return to Kyoto to take over the role of Kansai Magic Association Elder.

Two other's whom we know nothing about, let alone where they went or even their names.

Yes, but why is he bound to the library? He said to Takamichi in volume 15 that he has been resting for the last ten years which indicates that he was severely weakened, and the likelyhood that the cause is under the library is small which means that after the event he would have somehow had to have transported himself there.

As for too many volumes, while there are some few places where the story slows down a bit, like after the vs Chao arc of the series, there are lots of interesting characters that need more development, but if every character got only one story about them, and none got more focus, the series would not have a cohesive enough plot.

I like the fact that it is long, it means a more well developed story.
Negima is mainly focused on a fantasy action/adventure theme with ecchi scenes to lighten the mood. It certainly has a more well-developed storyline than Dragonball Z, which could be renamed to "101 fight scenes marathon"

Love Hina was a romance story, it's theme didn't really allow for a longer series, as eventually, there would be no more uniqueness to the chapters, and everything becomes too routine, just like relationships in real life.

you try maintaining consistancy when writing a story one chapter a week, and some times with longer gaps
but, yeah, I know what you mean:

In the beginning Negi talked about his grandpa like he was still alive, and then later we find out he's a statue, and not even really Negi's grandpa.

Evangeline in the first volume goes to the bath with the rest of the girls, but in volume three, she changes to having nothing to do with the other girls unless forced.

Negi also says, when Asuna says that he's not much of a mage, that his grades would agree with her, and that makes it seem like he's only a mediocre mage, but we find out later, that he was the highest grades in a long time, and that he spent all his time studying and practising new spells non-stop, and see that he is in actual fact, a more competant mage than his father, if less experienced in battle.

Who do you think he would end up marrying to end up with Chao as a descendant, as she has inherited his smarts, and his power. (obviously Negi didn't get his brains from his dad, as Nagi seems to be a bit of a fool)

anyway, Negi would have been born 1993, and assuming he has a child at age 25 (lets stick with a normal age)
his own child would have a child at about 25, and that child, again at 25, and again at 25, if that child was Chao, to be born around 100 years later the generations would be 4 at 25 +
or bear minimum 3 at 33-40 (a child born from parents over the age of 40 is unlikely to be healthy, assuming the parents are even still fertile.

anyway, maybe the reason why Chao came back is because her future was actually created as a result of Negi losing and Fate and whoever is in charge taking over the world and the status quo being altered dramatically. It was never explained who gave her the magic tattoos or why, or what her time is actually like. I think Ken Akamatsu just didn't put a lot of thought into developing her story further.

I just thought of something, the Fate back in Kyoto was not human, but maybe the real Fate is human and that was just something similar to what Albirio uses, maybe if there is a human Fate, maybe he is actually Negi's half brother or something (sharing Negi's father, but having a different mother) and his mother was some sort of really powerful evil sorceress or even demon, (actual demon, not Yokai like Setsuna or Kotaro's parentage, maybe a succubus)

Hard to imagine the ero brat with 32 wives it doesn't even fit the 1 month calendar what kind of schedule will he do by that.
And also negi and asuna ending with each other is high but asuna's magic is unique its spell immunity or spell nullification.
and about chao maybe ken will bring some hints about chao as its progress the story and nagi having another son thats fate making him unfateful and have 2 wives I think even nagi is popular with girls his not that imorale
and with chao's tatoo its must have been some cult and negi being beaten by fate and getting himself killed and all making chao's present like hell well chao said that negi is the great ancestor he will not be that great if he got himself killed early with the age of 10.
And himself getting rescued by nagi's friend has also high chance because its waiting for him in the magic country though I would like to see a battle between them though the chance of negi beating fate in his current condition is slim.
Right now we haven't seen some real action for the time being I can't wait for the next chapter their counter attack

Who thinks Fate is the mastermind behind everything, and who thinks there is someone else who has yet to appear?
I mean, it just seems like Fate is a number one operative, but doesn't strike me as being the sort to be in charge.

Who thinks that the Thousand Master will die soon after Negi finds him? From other stories with similar themes, often the father or whomever, will sacrifice themselves so that their son will be able to live on, like for instance if, upon the destruction of the Arch-villain, or evil artifact etc. a giant vortex opens up and sucks everything in and Nagi would stay behind to stabilize everything, just long enough to allow Negi and company to escape to safety.

I don't mean to say that Fate is an ordinary underling or anything, if he does work on behalf of somebody else, he probably has ulterior motives for doing so, but I think he likes doing bad stuff for the sake of doing so, or maybe he is using them, like the mastermind could send Fate to do all the dirty work for him, but when the mastermind is on the verge of becoming all-powerful Fate would probably betray them and take the power for himself, but working as an underling, would keep the other "minions" from targeting him personally until he is ready, because in evil organizations the minions are quite often biding their time, waiting for a moment of weakness to take over leadership of the organization.

Well personally I don't want to think fate is all that bad maybe he got some reason and eva says maybe his a construct just maybe his being control then again I like him to be a bad guy he fits for it.
I'm thinking a crazy scenario what if nagi is the real bad guy his last spotted in istanbul where fate comes from istanbul magic association and he really know nagi or something about the thousand master the way he speaks about him and the demon that was sent to negi to see how much can they interfere with their plan in the future I think his a companion of fate or maybe from the same association or maybe that demon was in contract with a mage that was from istanbul magic association I think to control a demon a person needs to make contract of to summon someone needs strong magic power something huge is behind all of this a fate's group is strong they beat kotaro fast that shimeiryu girl and they seal kaede like she was nothing or they just get careless underestemating the enemy.
Or maybe nagi is not the final boss the reason his gone is something to do with asuna or maybe his stopping someone huge plot to conquer the world or something like that and chao comes back to the past to change that I think she's from the time of war and that maybe the result of the past events like nagi fails to stop the leader of the enemy and got killed for saving his son and negi do something good but die in the process making him a the great ancestor for chao.
The association that send the demon knows about asuna maybe they know it from fate.
back then fate had a suspicion about asuna's ability and when he escape he tells it to the group and they start investigating sending a high level demon to measure their current strenght back then and their possibility of stopping their plot.
And about al getting himself prison their and can only go out during the school festival where the world tree magic is everywhere maybe its nagi's big plan but then again why sealing him their thats one mystery for now.
Even takamichi and eva doesn't even notice him their eva was in the school for 15 year already right? and the time when nagi disappear is 10 years ago and al knowing nothing about that event making him be their 10 years above so he doesn't know about nagi's disappearance because I think if his not been seal their he will be with nagi when he disappear.

It's kind of long, and i didn't bother to read the second half lol, But I think you can tell that Fate doesn't really run the strings because Fate said he has an Objective in the Magic Country, so that means someone who gets an Objective is when you have Orders, which means someone else is telling him what to do, I could be wrong, but this is how I see it

for Negi to be the great ancestor, he would have to actually survive to adulthood and have at least one child, which means he can't die in CHao's timeline, but maybe he loses, and the world becomes under the control of evil, and Negi leads an underground resistance, but is unable to defeat the evil in his timeline, he could do lots of great deeds, without actually ever saving the world.

If it was Nagi who went to save the world, it would be him as the great ancestor, not Negi.

Maybe Nagi has been on the run since his apparent "death" 10 years ago, but a short time prior to the beginning of the series, he has been captured, and the villains have been slowly siphoning off his magic power to augment themselves, or to build a magical depository, to power some artifact or spell, that is beyond even the level of the World Tree's magic.

Or maybe Nagi is trapped in another dimension.

The festival Arc was like 1/2 of the manga so far from chapter 80-160..., and theres only 187 chapters, I think the theory about leading an underground resistance sounds like it would happen when Negi would lose the fight and has to retreat, but in the end he wins... <---the problem about this though is that people will complain about the manga being too long

Well time travel logic is a major philosophical topic, for instance, if you went back in time and killed Adolf Hitler before he began his Campaign, thereby preventing WW2, (or Germany's part in it,anyway) the timeline would change, and it would be as if had always been that way, therefore eliminating the need to go back and change it, meaning that you would never have gone back to kill Hitler, because he's already been killed, and so on and on...

As you can see, If time travel is to be used in a story, the author has to fudge it a bit, and only use what he/she wants, just look at Harry Potter book 3, somethings happened before they even used the time-turner, but others didn't, It's called artistic license.

maybe even though Negi wins, and the Fate group or whoever appears in the future chapters, aren't responsible for Chao's problems, somebody else could take their place, maybe it's fated to happen, if not one person, then another, will do it instead.
