Well... only 14 chapters so far, but it has gained its way to a good manga in my book. Pretty nice read. Check it out.
Graphics are good, plot is good, chapters are long. Read.

Yes, very good manga indeed. I wonder what Syra (is that the correct spelling?) will do when she finds out about the execution and also about her shadow disobeying again. I think she is going to beat the hell out of the shadow.

I think the correct spelling is Sira. Anyway...the Hero isn't going to die but he's probably going to figure out Sira is the demon queen.

i love this manga. the story is great and the art is great. i can't wait for when yuusha finds out sheila is the demon queen. if u want spoilers JANIMES has a summary.

Lets clarify one thing right now. The Demon Queen's name is Sira not Sheila. Sheila is just some shameless translator's attempt to Americanize the manga. In fact you can't even spell Sheila in Japanese Hiragana.:cookies:

Good manga. I enjoyed it quite alot so far.
Not sure if i will continue to read it though.. It's starting to bore me :S..
I like the characters and all, but the storyline is the thing i don't like.

Ok, this annoyed me enough to actually make an account. (which im glad i did actually this could be fun) SO APPRIECIATE IT DAMMIT!!! 8D
anyway... the way i see it her name IS Shiela or Sheela or however you wanna spell it, but how ar eyou gonna wirte that in kanji ect... well you spell it "Sila" which almost sounds the same if you say it out load (and oddly sounds like you have a japanese accent ;P) Buuuuuut...
The japanese say "L" as "R" and "R" as "L" so now you you get "Sira" xD YaY!! ^^
so basically it all fine the "Shiela" translation just shows you how to pronounce it but if your doing a straight translation from Kanji then you write "Sira" but its still pronounced with an L.

Feel free to argue, its what i live for! But have in mind that I am in no way a proper translator i can't speak japanese and all this **** i just spewed out is all from what I've picked up after about 8/9 months of watching Anime and more recently reading Manga.
Im no expert, Im just clever! xP Heheh!

oh and "Maou" apparently means Demon Queen so its her title or summit, i dont know! It said somthing about it in the 1st pages of the 1st chapter i think

All right how about settling down just a little, Firefly, but yeah MA it looks like someone has been stabbed, but I think Sira (I prefer) problably killed the attacker.

How do you get that?? I didnt even see her around... but it would make sense since (haha sense since) because someone was about to attack him and his frinds were in the same area. But it may be the other guy (forget his name) who may have killed the guy atacking the hero...

yeh sorry. If i go on a rant it often sounds alittle crazed :lol:
But thats not the intention and it'd be a waste if i canceled it.

He wouldn't kill him though would he? i mean hes supposed to be up there with hero on the whole "Killing monsters = Bad" thing.
Yeh i reckon Sira killed the monster and heros face at the end was like "B*tch, you promised" :D

The fake demon queen is going to probably replace the real one. And Hero kills the fake Sira and the hero and demon queen will live happily ever after. But this story doesn't seem to have much of a happy end. Happy endings are getting a little boring now. A sad end would suit this manga.

i'm hoping sheila (i know that it's supposed to be 'sira' if u translate it from kanji but i think 'sheila' looks nicer) got stabbed trying to save the hero but that's just what i prefer. i really want yuusha to find out sheila's the demon queen i can't imagine how the author going to do it.

Can't wait for the next chapter! I hope for happy ending, yet I dunn wan it to be too predictable. You know... like Hero found out Sira's true identity, when confronting the fake queen... then Sira got stab tryin to save Hero... blah blah...
So predictable...... but...how would Hero forget Sira for hiding her identity and for being the cruel demon queen??

i love this manga, and i rather hope the ending is happy though until then i could use a little more darkness :P

Yeah, i love this manga too. But yet again, one manga has for some reason stopped uploading the chapters. The demon queen is like oen of my favourite characters of all mangas. I think it's funny the way she adds ~Nya~ to every sentence!!

It's not one manga, volume 5 came out not to long ago and the scanlator said two days ago that she would start working on it soon. Also i like sentence endings too.

liked it very much... for the ideals Hero talks abt... love the char developement as well... how everyone is treated for being... how society generalizes based on appearance and race... excellent read it is... since it is lighter, I am expecting a happy ending... personally I like tragic endings...
anyways, does anyone think Hero's ideals are applicable in today's world or not?

well...as for hero's ideals being applicable in today's world is another question since we don't really know,cause there is no one killing humans And being directed by a certain individual so we don't know how not killing people,and talking to them, and just killing the boss is applicable

just finished reading the 14 chapters OM has up and i love it so far. I can't wait to see what's gonna happen when Hero finds out Sira's real identity. Plus I think he's starting to like her too. I can feel the drama building. :P

I love the charachters and the art... I cant help but feel that this story has a hidden meening.... I really wish the hero's dream could be true..... It's not like he's dream in this world either... Also about the story.... I sense dissastor ( how do you spell it), but I want it to be a happy ending... then again I don't, but a happy ending would make me happy... nvm

The reason he decided to only kill the demon lord (Sira) was because she was the one organizing the other monsters to attack humans. Thus as long as the source of the monsters organizing is killed, that's what matters to him. And right now that source is not Sira but her clone.
Since it seems unlikely Sira will be able to regress to how she used to be (even if she still tells herself she'll have to kill Hero at some point), I doubt Hero will see any reason to kill her. Remaining close to her might be another matter, considering she is responsible for the deaths of his family and friends.
About the series as a whole, I've come to like it more than I expected. At first I doubted I could like or feel for a character responsible for the deaths of such a large percentage of Earth's population (albeit not all done directly by her). Yet the long explanations about how she had never known about other ways of living, as well as her talk with Hero when they met as kids, really did make her likable. It was quite a strong conversation, Hero demanding to know why she had the people of his town kill and she responding by asking why humans kill monsters (even if most of those humans had never killed a monster).
Although I admit I almost quit reading when after seemingly growing emotionally Sira didn't bat an eye when telling Kapy to go and kill any humans or monsters she wanted so long as she left Hero alone. I find it a bit odd that in the current fight Kapy has yet to mention those commands, only talking about how Sira used to kill people.
But while that has gone unexplained, overall Sira's development has been quite well done.

I just started this yesterday cause I was bored but it turned out really good so far. Each chapter is really long so that's one thing I like about it. The plot is original too. Oh and one other thing is the art. It has really good art. The mangaka wanted to make a manga that could be moving an it worked out nicely.
