When Micheal killed Cygnus, I was like :eek:. I wonder how that affect the story in the future. It was kinda funny to, he just came out of nowhere and was like "Do you think I'll kill you, or let you live ?"

I see why he killed him though, he didn't want any threats later on down the road.....or he is juts cold blooed and wanted to kill him.

It really is something to look forward to when ares faces him, or you never know micheal could hire the mercs for himself. then they wouldnt be enemies. but then ares would have to fight against his girl. I find Micheal to be a very mysterious character atm. I have so many questions.

Why was he watching Ares and Cygnus battle in the first Place ?
Did he just want to see Ares fight ?

Also, why didn't he ask Michael and Brandon to come along with him ?
Maybe he knew they would probably refuse, or thought that this was his business alone.

I was very sceptical to Cygnos at first, but when we got to know him you just liked him more and more, even tho he kind of stole the "cool-and-powerful"-spotlight from Ares. Something I didn't understand was why did michael kill him? There is offcourse the future threat-idea, but didn't he lissen in on the whole "i'm going home" thing? There was no real reason for him to kill Cygnos, was there?

actually these series is weird when it comes to chapter lenght. Some chapters are real short, like this one and some are long. It just varies, it through me off when i was reading it.

It seems like baroona will have an interesting relationship w/ that slave girl. I dont think he will fight the patron for her, but that he will take her under his wing. And it would be cool to see a back story for robin, he's a badass.

The nearly exterminated red-eyed tribe reminds me of those refugees in Full Metal Alchemist (were they also red-eyed or maybe golden-eyed?). Baroona and Robin's entrance was nice. Robin seems to be the new Cygnus. I'm relieved that help arrived because if Ares cleaned those guys all up on his own, that would be too much. I know that Ares is the hero, but that kind of thing just makes a story lose all credibility.

methaniel, I think there was another Ares thread, but it got too long and was closed. Then someone revived a really old thread, instead of creating a new one. That's why discussions about the middle part of the manga are missing.

I agree that Ares couldn't handle the four guys by himself. Robin, I just wonder how he will win against such a good fighter. Even if he has a minimum of skills in close-combat he cannot win against such a good fighter, and just by trying to snipe him, I doubt it would be enough for winning.
Baroona, even if he improved, I don't know what he'll be able to do against the master of this technique (I'm still not sure about it, but I have doubts...). But for a moment I had hopes that Gohu would be able to help a bit...but no
And I don't think they are going to lose all, maybe the red-eye guy, but it would be a hge blow for Michael if he lost four of his best men (though, I could picture him not being worried over that)

It looked like Ares killed him before he could say anything. If he'd continued, it would've probably just been more of his sob story about being red-eyed and forced to become a killer. Ares seemed to be irritated by it, perhaps since he doesn't want to start feeling sorry for the Red-Eyed Swordsman.

The Ares chapters always seem to end abruptly. I've read ahead, and the next chapter really has to be read immediately after this one, in terms of timing, or else it doesn't make as much sense. Just remind yourselves to re-read the last few pages of this chapter when Chapter 117 is out!

I wouldn't call it ruthlessness, just efficiency. He had no time to waste to save Ariadne, especially as he wasn't aware that Baroona and Robin had intervened. Ares' fighting style is monstrous, but his personality is not; his mercy sets him apart from Michael (though I had to laugh when he said that he'd moved the fight because the dead bodies on the ground were getting in the way).

I just loved every moment in this chapter, from Robin shooting Michael's underling in the back, to Ares pretending to go to the bathroom to kill the last one running away, to Ares calling Michael his former best friend, to Michael giving the signal for attack just as it starts to rain and everyone thinks the fighting is over. Ares has become my favorite shounen series of the moment, along with Full Metal Alchemist and Claymore, and I hope the good work keeps going!

The problem is that they are far from the battlefield now, so they cannot reach it instantly..So most likely when they come back to Chronos lands, the war will be kinda finish (I don't see Michael losing this battle...I just hope Icarus won't die), and they will help the remaining forces trying to defeat Michael (I wonder what will be the role of the red eye swordman in this though)

Hurrah for another chapter of stylish but efficient swordplay, which seems to be typical of Ares. Icarus and Genesis were quite cool in this chapter. I'm hoping that the flashbacks are an investment in their characters before both have a larger role to play in the story, not a set-up for a tragic death.

Anyway, not much happens in this chapter. Mostly lots of fodder dying.
But that double sword user from a while ago looks to be coming back on scene, that should be good.

Well...not on OM anymore okay...
But well, stil thanks to kmts for providing scans anyway. The chapter had nothing in it though, only a bit of battle which was messy and didn't bring anything (except the sun in the end, so now every troops are entering the battlefield)
