I decided to try it out and I was hooked after the first chapter and it totally shocked me. I love the humor of it and have read all the chapters on the site. I love naru naru the most, he brings me so much entertainment...and I swear i have a friend that acts like kiri..its hilarious and i recommend for something different.

it's one of those mangas that you easily overlooked but when you read them you see that it's great. i really like this one. the characters are very unique and funny the artwork is not that great. but the story is quite good. i rally like naru-naru,kiri and kei. it's a refreshing read.

I think Kiri + NaruNaru will end up together since it's still a shojo manga but then the way the humor is set, maybe not?

yes i do! I love beauty pop! It's awesome~ I love the story so far :) ! The characters are great, kiri is hilarious!! :D It's definately one of my favourite mangas, right up there in the top 5! :)

Kiri should be showing more emotions lah. She is juz too plain. She needs more feelings. N naru naru shud hv a control over his emotion. he is over reacting! sometimes its annoying. N the guy wearing glasses shud stop acting like the smartest guy on earth. duhh n there's only lil element of suprise n excitement in diz story. :devil:

Well, give it time. It seems to be relatively new. I'm sure that the slack will pick up soon, most long-lasting mangas usually do. I mean look at Ramna 1/2, I found it boring for the first few chapters and then it got more exciting as time went on... and it even nearly ended in a wedding! (And I'll leave out the part where the jokes started to sound old. I have a selective memory. :) )

Well, I'm sure that Kiri is acting the way she does because of some reason, just like Naru-Naru. Besides, it's not in her nature to act all emotional out-there like Naru-Naru does. Just like it's not in Naru-Naru's nature to act like the way Kiri does. As far as I'm concerned, it's a different take on how boys and girls act. The main female character is acting like a non-emotional boy and the main male character is acting like an emotional girl. And since the general battle setting is done in a beautician's chair, it's funny. It's a sly sense of humor that one has to get used to.:D


As far as the local megane who acts like a know-it-all, there's at least one in every other manga. So why should it bother you? They're everywhere! :confused:

And if it's so boring to you, why read it? Why disparage something that's not to your taste? Go and have fun reading something that you'd enjoy, you'll be much happier. I guarantee it.

And I'm sorry if I sounded upset at you because it wasn't meant to attack you. It was more to defend the mangaka's work and to offer the suggestion that you might be happier to read something with more excitement.:o

I'm not a pro-manga critic and I try not to review or critique anything unless I really love the work. But I do object to someone saying something disparaging about another person's creative work and offers no explanation or constructive critisms.

It just really peeves me to no end because I know that every creator puts something of him/herself into their work. From the 3-year old kid doing finger paints to the professional that makes millions. :mad:

And just to let you know, if you had put out a creative work and someone disparaged it, I would have done the same thing.:)

this manga is another awesome aweesome awesome to read!!^_^ i thought it'd be weird to be reading about kids cutting hair in a manga, but desperate to read any manga, i gave this one a shot. And I'll be one to say that the beginning is definitely perfecto!!! :D kids messing up a little girl's hair and then a stranger showing up talkin about a little bit of magic??? ^_^ = A MUST GOTTA READ!!

Finished reading in two days, and man, whens the next chap coming?!?!?! kiri is so gonna kick *** and set that guy straight. I'm assuming by the end of their lesson, the guy will get some sort of new perspective that he once had and kiri might be even more famous since she's battling th #1?

O_O man, does no one read this manga? TT_TT i really like this series. sure it's bizarre that these kids act like grown professionals but i find that it's one of the antriguing things about this story.

i just finished catching up with this series a week ago and I LOVE IT!!! At first i thought it was a strange idea for a manga but I had nothing else to read so i chose it and I'm so glad I did. I love Kiri's personality and how she's so mellow all the time. I really can't wait to see the results of this latest competition. I really want to see that guy slapped in the face by Kiri's amazing skills.

this manga is really unique but there are a lot of really good shoujo mangas that you might like. There's Meru puri, Special A and Koukou Debut just to name a few and they're all on OM so you don't have to go far to get them. Oh and if you like gender blenders i highly recommend Hana Kimi. Anywhoo back to topic does this manga release once a month?

dunno but i might have to reread the ending. so kiri currently possesses her dad's golden scissors? So was it her uncle/relative who popped in and left it? but didnt the note say that she pretty much couldnt have it bc she not a beautician officially? hrrm yeah...goes and reread. keke love the icebreakers in this manga. random, outta the blue, and funny.and i believe narumi might have competition. it seems like the friend with the pigtails really likes kiri. I absolutely love this manga. Kiri is the type a chick I love. She doesn't really care about being popular or trying hard to impress people. I love the way she puts the upperclassmen in their place everytime she can.

But I would like to know more about Kei. He's the only one that we don't really know his family background. All we know is that they own a nail parlor. So why the big secrecy about him?

The haircut was really cute. I thought the impostor was ugly at first, but the new hair totally changed him. Kiri already has the most skill among her age group, and now that she seems to have gotten over her fear of injuring people with her scissors, there doesn't seem to be anything left to stop her from reaching the top. Where is the story going to go from here? What is there left to tell about Kiri? Fortunately, I feel that there is more character development to be seen from Naru-naru, so I'm looking forward to it. Go Naru-naru indeed!

Beauty Pop is one of my favorite shoujo mangas! Kiri and Naru-Naru are the best pair ever! Kiri's devil-may-care attitude might get a little old sometimes, but that's what makes the series so hilarious and original.
