[Manga-Otaku]

By a bizarre coincidence, Tsukune Aono has accidentally gotten himself admitted to a youkai academy, a school attended by monsters (youkai). Just when he thinks he'll run away from there, he meets the beautiful girl Moka and his mood turns ultra happy. However, she transforms into her true form when the rosary on her chest is taken off, she's a super vampire!

I love this series funny yet romantic a little to? Anyone else like it?

ya its a cool manga...and i'm very annoyed by the fact that though the raws are up to volume 9. the translations are only up to volume 3 :mad: :mad: :mad:
But i'm more annoyed by the fact that i can only read a few hiragana char cause i would of read the raws by my self :s ...so i hope that new chapters will be on soon...i'm very curious about what will happen in the next volume :)

I really want to see more of this manga. Is nice and easy to digest :). I really like it. But I was kind of disappointed because the last scanlated volume was uploaded in march, and on other sites is nowhere to be found...

well Zombie has them translated they only have to edit them and the editor is taking his sweet time. I know he has his own life and I want to respect that, but please don't tell me you can't at the very least take one hour out of the day to do it, and problaly it takes more than an hour but 1 hour a day for a couple days should do it. But im not him so unless somebody else picks it up were screwed until he decides it's time to finally release them.

Im currently reading this manga too and am at chapter 7. The pros of this manga is that it actually do introduce a range of familiar mythological characters and its quite a new concept to see them all attending the same school and studying side by side.

However, I find that the story kind of gets repetitive as in it seems like Rosario always changes into a vampire at the end of the day and she will pawn the opponent!

Nice excitement though. Hopefully the next few chapters will be out soon.

its a formula to subtly introduce different characters into a story. if you read KHR then your familiar with the righting style.

Im currently at chapter 8 now but I like chapter 1 the most.
Maybe because the idea was new and I was fascinated by the setting and the characters background when I first read it.

Maybe the mangake should surprise us with some creatures that are seldom heard. EG: unicorns, werewolves and vampires are real common

A question suddenly flash across my mind while reading. Is it legal for the various monsters to kill each other? It appeared that the various antagonists are always out to kill the male protagonist and nobody except his friends bothered to save him.

Just some quick thoughts on what I think so far:

- I agree with gr1mmy that the part where the male protagonist becoming a temporary vampire with super powers is real cool. I hope that he can turn into a real vampire or something :D

- Chapter 13 seems to consist of more comic elements as the members alway quarrel among themselves during the summer camp. SPOILER: I like the part where the iron tarrot card got stuck in one of the member's head as they were quarreling and arguing and the iron tarrot card was used as a weapon.

Chapter 13 is unique as the male protagonist did not faint this time and mako was not the one who pawned the other monsters.

Ah Moka is the female character (the female vampire) who always somehow ends up saving the male protagonist life at the end of the day. Chapter 13 is special as the male protagonist life was not threatened and the little witch pawned all the sunflowers. Hence, Moka did not save the day :devil:

Initially I prefer the nice Moka but as the chapters go, I somehow start to prefer the other Moka instead. She's powerful and not always crying and she does start to care for the protagonist in the later chapters.

personally, i dont really like this manga - the whole series is dependant on her tranformation, and is getting no where. there should be at least a couple chapters where by some reason she is stuck in her vampire form and must attend school as such or a chapter where she much depend on her own power, the plot is so repetetive, bad person > trouble > hoplesness > vampire saves the day...

Well, personality wise, it's already quite different. Vampires are also humanoid, so big physical differences can't really be made. The hair is probably the easiest to change.

I just started this series and I'm really liking it so far. i do wish there was more background on Moka and Tsukune. I have a feeling that Moka may have acted differently around humans which made her an outcast. When she first meets Tsukune she thought he was a monster like her so her first interaction with him might have been different than with the other humans she met in her past. (not sure just a thought)
