Its a really weird name but has a great plot. Very moving. Its starts off as more of a romance but eventually becomes the story of a 5 year old girl reuniting with her mother....I admit it starts better then it ends but it is still a very good manga. I highly reccomend (this comment was more like a recomendation forum then anything) still, if u hapened to have heard of it or read it b4 post here

i like the manga better than the anime, the end was better. the little girl(forgot her name) ended up being friends with the little boy that got beat up by his mom. good story =D

Yeah the anime is a sort of chewed up version of the manga. The manga is wayyyy better. You have to take the anime version as a different story to really appreciate it.

it is great and a moving manga. only problem i have was that ending was kinda rushed.

i'm also a guy and straight, and i like shojo manga. because there is more character development in shojo rather in shonen. in shojo you can learn,like,admire, hate, relate, pity, envy and sometimes fall in love with the characters. for other guys it's a way how to learn and better understand the female psyche.

ur a guy?!?! although i totaly agree with what u said about shojo manga having so much emotion but, i seriously thought u were a girl. I mean no offense but u have tsukasa as ur sig and avater! i have urges to put pictures of lucy (the girl from elfen lied) and Galatea (girl from claymore), but i surpress those urges. well i like tsukasa so what the problem in that. i'm sure of my sexuality and my friends and girlfriend know about it. it's the same as just putting a poster of a bikini clad model in your room. it's just a picture.

I agree the anime is very...just not good, manga wise it's probally the only Shojo I'll ever read, besides a little vampire knight.

yeah, the anime was terrible... i was cringing through the first 10 minutes and then i just couldn't stand it

i think it just wasn't very well funded.. the voice actors weren't that great and the art was really poor quality

the anime was ok, it was pretty short though. it made me cry when the little girl's (forgot her name) mom wanted to get her. no one wanted her to go but kippe. yah, its been awhile since i read or watched it, not too sure about the names hehe =D

hey ima guy an i read this and many other romantic mangas (like Dear Mine, Love Hina, 23:00, Ai****eruze Baby, etc.)
and im straight, (i like GURLZ)

i es.like romantic/comedy mangas (i like action/comedy mangas too)
and i find romantic mangas as good story and when somethin sad happens its like i feel the pain, and i dont think its weird

I've read it once, well two 'coz I'm one of the translators who translate this manga to our own language. (In other word, not the official scanlator >"< So bad!) I think the storyline is 'kay, at least not have any tears-taking parts or anything, and the art is fine. Overall, it's quite good for a shoujo type like that.
Like you guys, I haven't had a chance to watch the anime based on this manga yet. Not planning to, though. Still, it might be good if the OSTs are great, I mean then I can add more files to my so ole OSTs folder ^^"

The anime sucked compared to the manga. They tried hard to make it seem like Kippei was awesome but he just sucked. Also the ending was pretty bad aswell.

I heard the anime ending was....anti-climatic and wasn't really an ending...
anyways, the manga was awesome and probably the first good shojo I've ever read....it's been like.....a year since I read it...

I think the best part of the anime was Yuzuyu. She was a bit annoying (Kippei-onii-chan every five seconds), but cute at the same time. The rest of the cast was a bit "meh", is that it. The opening was also damn good one. I think I should learn that song and see if I could use it as a lullaby *imagines himself singing it and almost dies of laughter*
